Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here (1975)
[00:00]all right in 2020 four friends decided to listen to every one of the greatest 500 albums as a side by rolling stone magazine long time ago this resulted in a text chain that's all written music don't think about that excoriated the order and led us to making this podcast although we do have a little look back today we're gonna look back not an anger man okay why is some wise people taught me that i heard you say excoriated the order and led us to making this podcast we are far from experts we promise to do almost no research all opinions are our own unless you disagree please sit back and enjoy beck did it better we are all the way up to album 264
[00:36]and we're being welcomed oh now i have to tell you guys this i prepped all this yesterday so all of this that i have written down is a mystery to me okay you know what yesterday aaron to me yesterday it's history but also what i wrote yesterday is a mystery oh okay today is the present yeah why they call it the present was it what's that yesterday is gone tomorrow's in the future yeah and whatever and what i paid for over my trip was
[01:05]it's history i don't want to just i read something about uh hymnic joy and elegiac joy and hymnic joy is looking toward the future but elegiac is what comes from the present in the past i got i got so many presents i get that joy also i got a ton of presents aaron i get do you get joy looking at the future i know that's the thing you're not that's the thing is it's not actually if you're just betting all your joy in the future you might be missing out on the present and the
[01:33]past because that's the only time we actually have except for about 14 days from now i'm betting a lot of my joy in 40 days i don't have time i can't get into it right now it's too early in the podcast start talking about my vegas desires we're staying at paris please uh january 20th staying at paris can i just say i what are you doing what's going on oh sorry about that also rob i was going to suggest based on recent weeks maybe you need to lay off
[02:10]the audio clips what if you need to lay off overplaying the audio has he received some feedback uh we received some feedback from the country of the netherlands or wherever spotify is out of right oh right yeah yeah yeah legal feedback yeah there's i you know what was it do you know what that was rob can i uh no
[02:36]i assume it's because it was the beatles i assume the beatles were being nasty about something tell our listeners what happened because well it's interesting to me because so a few we've had two episodes not go up on spotify in the last few weeks it's true rob the upstairs roommate seems to think rob doesn't care about the podcast because he doesn't care that it's going up on spotify and part of me wondered if this was it if he had stopped caring and i got a little worried
[03:01]if he stopped caring because he doesn't care can you imagine if i didn't do this podcast i would explode like literally russell there's this podcast you gotta get it on a creative outlet i have to get this out at least once a week usually on a weekend night you know what i mean yeah usually with my wife sleeping as long as it as long as it comes out on dog catcher something called dog catcher is that a podcast that's what flipping john for me dying to listen to a dog catcher he does like all his things so as long as it comes out on dog catcher we're fine
[03:32]russell i russell can i say this i don't use spotify at any me anything in my life i'm an amazon music guy i've said it before i've cast my lot with amazon as as much as that sucks so i had no idea when it didn't come out on spotify but there's nothing i can do i just push submit and it kind of sends it out to everything but i did get an email from spotify saying blah blah blah something something something didn't really read it okay so i'm not liable ahead of you uh but i did write them back and say you know what if this is like when i was i had a
[04:03]mini donut machine it's fair use russell to me it's fair fair use okay we are giving educational feedback on these songs so we are covered and i'm gonna say that cookies in the midway and we're set and i'm not gonna ask you to comment on that russell because i don't want to i don't want to hear what you're gonna say but i will say this as well they also screwed up my christmas episode they didn't release that on apple podcast so i had to re-release that so i look vain releasing that episode twice anyway guys good thing we don't
[04:32]look vain otherwise there's nothing no vanity in this project regardless and it's true it's good i did get a complaint from someone the other day that there was no tuesday episode and i looked and it was on podbean and spotify so i told him you're a dumbass it's up because i like it would never dawn on me that someone would use amazon music like like that's crazy to me that you would use i didn't know it was crazy yeah i never know it was a i'm with you rob 100 amazon music i don't pay it just makes sense in spotify you think we're
[05:02]gonna pay another subscription on top of no amazon listen who am i gonna pay spotify a guy i assume owns it who doesn't have a let's just say it a wife with gigantic breasts or am i gonna pay the guy with the wife who has some of the biggest breasts i've ever seen in my entire life yes that's who i'm gonna pay of course i gotta put my money where my mouth wants to be now oh my gosh album 265 and we are being welcomed by a machine possibly a sex machine or possibly a metaphor about life
[05:34]being a machine and we're just widgets moving through with no control over powers that are so vast we cannot begin to comprehend them but i think they're talking about a suck suck master six which is the only one available in 1975 aaron they just didn't have the sex machine technology back then you know what i mean and again that's why i've said it before that's why our grandparents were so boring they're they were already on the sixth iteration they were 1975 well once it happens it goes pretty fast i guess it probably started in 1969 and then they
[06:01]had a one every year from there because you could just like release a new color and it's like oh hey now there's a now in purple or whatever it's you're like hey we're 70 years for the bicentennial we gotta think of something to do until then you know what i mean uh so i i mean i'm just gonna say this you know the sex toys for our grandparents it was like this just i i don't even want to say this turn the radio to the right frequency and turn the volume up louder i'm just gonna say two words are in corncob i mean that's probably you know
[06:30]what i mean like that's what life was like back then it feels not very sanitary but i don't know we have i wish you were here by pink floyd from 1975 uh i've got three guys here who's only lost wish you were here it's not i wish you were here just wish you were here well thanks man oh i have there's one i don't know if he's listening anymore but i do have a friend who listens who hates when people drop pronouns hates it really really bothers him yeah you it's tough sometimes in music though because sometimes people are sneaking them in like eagles
[07:00]you know what i mean the eagles or eagles it's they're sneaking them back and forth smashing pumpkins is the smashing pumpkins wait they are the smashing pumpkins yeah oh oh man the smashing pumpkins that's what billy corgan says on stage uh i've got three guys here who's only lost souls they know about or when they had to throw away their bk nights oh i never had a pair okay who had who had bk nights never i had a pair of gray seventh grade sixth grade seventh
[07:32]grade for basketball were they silver and black i i'm trying to remember did you guys ever have light up shoes no that's like a little kid thing that's like way yeah that's way before i was gonna say yeah but rob it strikes me that you probably had those in like your mid-20s or no no no or wheels on the bottom of your shoes or something like that yeah i don't know i don't know i don't know the bottom the helis no i never had that too dangerous uh uh i i would say though i always
[08:03]did i i did have a pair of reebok pumps i had two players oh i had ones with the d brown on the bottom oh that's that's cool uh the pumps were great because if you were bored in class you could always go right to the pumps you know what i mean just in case you had to get up and run away you had to have those shoes pumped up at all times what a brilliant idea god what a brilliant marketing idea why yeah weren't they back i would rock a pair of pumps i think they are back aren't they i've got uh i've got uh they came back oh i've got uh i've
[08:31]got matt in minneapolis matt how are you doing uh good this my little message goes out to john from edina and you know uh replacements guy there was a replacements concert uh tribute show tonight at the turf club wow rosie i was wondering if maybe replacements guys there does he do stuff like that he um he might yeah i mean i haven't heard from him today though it's possible he's there i should i should message him and see emerson's uh you know who all the other people your buddy rob who you go out drinking with
[09:01]every wednesday what's her name again suzanne yeah suzanne you know wish you were here just yeah one of them just one or two wish they were matt tried real hard to get out of this record and we said no we yanked on his leash got him back in line uh i've got russell in minneapolis russell how are you doing guys we're just four lost souls podcasting in a fishbowl year after year after year after year after year after year after year year after year after year after year rob we've talked this is our seventh year podcasting we're
[09:30]in 2026 oh seven years that can't be true we started 2020 this is 2026 yeah he's not wrong if that doesn't get you aroused rob nothing will that's it hey mack and gladwell suck my dong for 10 000 hours because we don't even need that many you get good at podcasting we're set oh seven years you don't think that joke was funny aaron mack gladwell suck my dog for 10 000 hours you don't think that joke was funny aaron mack gladwell suck my dog for 10 000 hours all right rob if you if you had broken a mirror if you had broken a mirror when we started this
[10:00]podcast your bad luck would almost be up it's true my kid is going to college very soon which is something i said on like the first episode of like oh that'll never happen and now we're out picking schools she did mention that she didn't think st olaf was high caliber enough all right which i'm which as you can guess did my wife reacted that fine or was mad for days all right i've got aaron out in california now aaron was telling me that you know why they couldn't make any home more home alone sequels because by the fourth and fifth ones he'd just be jerking off you know what i mean he'd just be like
[10:34]hey what'd you do uh what no we can't make that joke he's like he's like 16 years old sitting in the house and they're like trying to get in he wouldn't have any ornaments up they would just all right he'd be they'd be hearing you filthy animals on the tv but it'd be different what i didn't feel the animals volume seven i'm sorry filthy animals volume seven he cannot he just can't do it i didn't dig too deep on the lyrics on this one but i've just i've always just wanted to say to
[11:00]someone shine on you crazy diamond wow wouldn't that just be a great like just like you someone's like sending him off into the sunset like yeah so i'm gonna say our 500th episode i'm gonna say at the end i'm gonna say shine on you crazy diamonds i love it you got that going forward to in 2030 our 11th year of podcasting oh my god don't say stuff like that okay however i do have to say this we don't have any voicemails what what we don't or are you are you choosing not to play people yes right or you're only going to play
[11:31]part of them you had a run where you were saying we didn't have any you were skipping russell we have not built up an amount of trust that you think i'm not telling the truth okay russell i promise for today's two shows we did not have two voicemails to fill the void okay so what i did instead is i did a little bit we're going to take a little look back at 2025 it's good that we're talking about all these years we're going to take a little look back we're going to do a review of 2025 awesome
[12:02]let's look back let's look back at this year i'm gonna list the top episodes by the number of downloads then a clip we will hear we're doing this because our fans failed to leave voicemail so here's the premiere of our review of last year
[12:33]now if you know what you want to hear i didn't put the year so i can do this every year oh smart something to think about just too lazy to look okay let's look back well i put the theme song here because i thought we needed to get it but now i'm not so sure six years in haven't quite figured this out yet jack it's complicated beck did it better not really shorter is better mostly what the deal is
[13:01]but uh uh let's look back at 2025 i'm on the timer i don't say that on this one okay hey who started the timer first of all i do have a timer i'm looking at it we're set those guys are looking to the left they're watching jennifer gartner on the capital one.com commercials wow can you imagine being jennifer garter and just being like i need some more money you know what i'm saying don't i mean like i'm not acting anything i'm just going to do credit card commercials how satisfying can that be like and you know what not even a good one capital one that's like c tier
[13:35]like if capital one is your only credit card that you have i'm sorry but you're fucked that's just the way it is you're fucked you shouldn't have just capital one that should be a backup account that your wife doesn't know about so when you go to vegas you could put money in it and she reminds me it's probably too late to get credit lines from the casinos in vegas we should have done that like four weeks ago we call it a marker erin a marker i cannot imagine anything more dangerous than having
[14:01]when i read that book on craps the guy was like don't get your own cash out get a marker from the casino because then you get six weeks to pay it back without interest if he knew so much he would not be writing books about craps i'm just gonna tell you right now okay those that can't do teach yep that's that's not what i said but it does oh i do have to say this guy's major bummer break is over in two days okay now do you think but you're taking another vacation well yeah i'm taking a couple right now a couple days i texted us two days ago and was like i'm
[14:33]gone for yeah about 14 out of 16 days in the day in january it's good might be having some best of some january except it's just old episodes not best of uh listen i have gone through looked at looked at the top episodes of 2025 and i'm going to tell you the number of downloads and then i also and then i'm going to tell you the number of downloads and then i'm going to tell you the number of downloads and then i'm going to tell you the number of uh the worst episode i'm going to give you one of the worst episodes okay because i can't give you too many it gets too
[15:02]depressing so at number five of our best episodes from last year number five with 220 downloads we have the john lennon imagine episode that was 2025 huh yep that is that was 2025 that is now this is the crazy episode i highly recommend you that's hundreds of listeners that's hundreds this is from january 28th does anybody want to know why is january 28th a significant episode last
[15:33]year what was going on january 28th that's when it was released or when we recorded it when it was released so probably recorded january 26th or 27th probably got home and had to record like the day after vegas it is a hundred percent russell great job this is a post vegas episode okay our voices sound like absolute shit so much so that not only did i once at once get excited for vegas it was also a cautionary tale because i was talking about how i felt that i was like oh
[16:03]i gotta be better on my body this year so guys guess what this year in vegas healthy rob no filters on those cigarettes i don't know what you're talking about it's healthy rob in vegas okay i'm not gonna crush them right away you know what i mean i'll wait a little bit that's not good because i already i looked up and i realized we're staying at the pinup pizza place so that's like three slices a day easy for me it's true it's very true so here is the clip from john lennon's imagine i pulled just a little clip i'm just gonna play it right now here we go
[16:34]do you guys think he was talking about my content on the podcast or is he subscribing to my only fans page oh my god wow so that is a quick clip that is a quick clip at number four with 246 downloads april 29th it is the metallica black album oh great album black album this was an all-time great album if you listen to it we are so on fire on this album because we love the music okay here's a little clip from the metallica black
[17:04]album and i think you're going to notice in these clips people are saying that the show is getting a little bit too dirty i want you guys to try to decide why okay who should we blame for this all right let's just listen to this clip that was a rough one where you took your kids to the orgy right the clip from metallica obviously matt telling dirty jokes yeah that was and it was a true story about how i did take my kids to an orgy that started after we left all right next up at 268 okay we're going up 22 downloads uh released january 14th early in the
[17:37]year this is madonna ray of light ray of light was all the way back in january it seems like just yesterday let's listen to a quick clip from madonna ray of light and you know what if this entices you to go back and download don't do it don't do it don't do it don't do it don't do it okay because it's going to screw up my download numbers on this podcast when everybody looks they're going to think i'm a fool but madonna ray of light here we go can you imagine how much high
[18:00]class trim i would pick up at that event rob wow okay now i know what you're thinking rob did you listen to each one of these episodes to find little clips of the other guys being dirty yes i did i listened to every one of these episodes every single one yeah and guess all of them yes oh my god i love it good for you i was happy i was happy to do it it was i maybe only listened to half the pavement album i'm not gonna lie uh at number two that'd be more than i got through taking a big jump up to 371 downloads
[18:34]okay hundreds hundreds of listeners from february 18th valentine's day okay probably some couples recuperating from valentine's day listening to this one uh it is leila and other assorted love songs from derrick and the dominoes and guess what eric clapton of course we know piece of but this episode a lot of fun let's listen to a quick clip from it i'm just staring deep into rob's asshole listen oh listen i've got here that that was that was
[19:03]from that episode eric i have to admit part i did learn on the podcast app you can now search the transcript and i did just put in the word erin and i searched where the word erin came up over and over because usually it was us yelling at air that he had said something gross and finally so that was 371 listeners could have seen the video on that one that was eric and the dominoes was back when we were starting every episode with the tv theme song which i realize you just you have abandoned rob wow there's only so many questions you continue it
[19:31]yeah well it's probably because he needed to do his parody song i think that's coming up right no i did it already to the theme of this i'm adapting the parody song 2026 year of adapting the parody song uh now that was 371 downloads our our biggest one from march 11th downloads whoa okay samsung podcast was alive that day oh yeah why this is the greatest biggest
[20:00]download i have no idea but i will say this maybe this has something to do with it this is the episode that started the birthday bit when we say the birthdays of all the artists this is the episode that started it it is patsy klein uh the ultimate collection of patsy klein of course when russell wore his ultimate warrior t-shirt talking about it and i gotta tell you ultimate collection i did talk text you guys about this it might be our perfect episode okay next time if we're out we have to release this episode it is so funny russell i listened
[20:32]to it i laughed out loud let's play a quick clip from patsy klein and see what see what little nugget of gold was in this episode i would like to be the panty dropper i stand by that that one right now i stand by that one i don't know the deep into rob's i'm not gonna do it again but i stand by the panty dropper eric technically i'm looking at my notes from that episode and we aaron was making a lot of filthy jokes according to the notes and one of them was a filthy joke about this is the song about your grandma getting fingered
[21:04]aaron oh okay you made that yes rob if you're gonna need to bleep that but you made that joke you did i'm not okay i'm not proud of that part that's fair uh let's get into a roll and go in my wife just texted me can you go to duane reed and pick up ibuprofen it's time to see what it's 30 p.m what is she doing we're shooting in new york openly isn't it just downstairs it's like like you go down an elevator right but yeah but it's not first of all it's closed okay second of
[21:33]all she's in the city she's at the ballet third of all it's voice recording what i'm saying and putting it on text so i gotta stop that lest i say something bad we got this you can step out to duane reed we'll handle the podcast you're gonna get results again it's closed uh rolling going aaron in uh oakland how are you doing aaron rolling i'm doing great although i'm a little bit i'm a little bit bummed out that the niners appear they're gonna lose i it's my favorite bandwagon to jump on is the 49er bandwagon and they're still gonna make the playoffs but it's
[22:00]not gonna be great um i well i gotta say um russell was right about something i don't know if you guys remember we talked about this and i don't know if he was on the podcast or not but uh we did get wallace a switch to for christmas wow that was a great choice i'm really enjoying it um but russell warned me a long time ago peterson was like hey don't do that oh my god what nope nope okay he doesn't like nintendo russell warned me a long time ago when i was like i don't know if i'm gonna get him a nintendo or not russell said well your kid's just
[22:33]gonna be bad at video games and he was right i said that yes he's like if you wait then he's just gonna be bad at video games yeah if you wait and don't let him get it until he's you know 12 years old or something there's no coming back it's like trying to play hockey i know yeah it's gonna be a pariah i was that pariah yep wow and he's not good huh no he's better now he got better pretty fast but he he wanted the pokemon z to a game which i think was like a little bit beyond his abilities
[23:03]it's kind of like one of those open world like you know you're a guy walking around catching pokemon games and man we had some moments you know how frustrating it is to watch someone else be bad at a video game right you've watched this you're like just move up move to the left don't like stop moving your guy around when you're in the battle and uh yeah but he got really he got pretty quick so we're definitely enjoying it matt we uh hooked up the old school nintendo because they were going through a bunch of video game stuff and just hooked up the old school nintendo
[23:30]and eddie was playing just straight up super mario brothers one and it was unbelievably painful to watch him try to just get through board one one you know to get it's like hold the b down while you run and then jump you don't have a free guy go into that one go over this yep hold it you can run past there he is oh here he is right here yeah it's i i will never know how good what it's like watching kids play video games my kids detest video games okay they think only real losers are doing them for some reason that's that's a wild that's a wild take but yeah i'm
[24:02]i'm definitely i'm really enjoying i decided i would start with the old zelda so i'm starting with zelda ocarina of time from the n64 version so that's where i'm working through and uh yeah it's i've been i've been really enjoying it but where do you got it set up can you sit in your fancy chair and play you bet your ass yeah it's on the big tv in the living room man i'm i'm up till 12 31 o'clock playing zelda ocarina of time because here's the thing i only played sports games as a kid like i didn't know that i was a nerd so i thought i wasn't a nerd
[24:31]so i was like oh i'm not gonna play zelda and now i'm like there's a whole world of zelda games i haven't played yet so i'm super stoked i've never never once played a game of zelda in my life i don't even know if i've been in a room where someone was playing zelda before right it was never my thing so it's like all these games i've never like hours of fun i'm gonna doink guys we doink right here you got me saying doink and i was like oh are we talking wrestling again this is great can i just say this my tiktok right now quick aside my tiktok right now for some reason
[25:01]it's showing me clips of mr perfect when he would do things like roll a bowling ball down to get a strike and then turn and say how perfect he was but it's only showing the ones where he doesn't get a strike so it'll be him bowling like 10 he goes like i'm mr perfect and then he turns and bowls or throws a dart and then just misses and he goes god damn it and then he has to start over it's because i'm absolutely perfect from minnesota rob you know that it was really yeah robinsdale robinsdale minnesota robinsdale
[25:30]wow uh so aaron i just let me i'm just gonna say this rule 34 zelda there's a ton of amateur made porn online for different video games clerics that is the next step uh to your journey aaron what's what game are you going to play after zelda well you got you got any plans you're in kitty chris or something like that um i think when zelda's done i might just do the fc soccer like the next iteration of fifa like i'm just going to go back to sports games i think once i get through but there's so much zelda there's like 12 of them right so you should play
[26:01]the first one the breath of the wild that came out on the first switch that's probably the best one that's what i've heard i've heard good things so yeah i'm gonna get through ocarina of time probably do breath of the wild and then i'm just gonna go right back to sports games but speaking of perfect guys from minnesota how's it rolling going with russell well things are going well aaron you're talking about kind of going into this world of nintendo obsession guys i think i have a new obsession myself wow so for the holidays the upstairs remain and over the last six months
[26:30]or so has been doing puzzles occasionally oh no that'll eat your life away and so i've never like been a puzzle guy but i or i bought as a christmas gift i bought a puzzle table with it swivels on the lazy susan it's got you got the drawers it's got the drawers that pull out it's got one of those it's got the stand so if you want to stand it up at like a 45 degree angle like it's it's a legit table right wow so we we set it up and one of my uh my nephew actually got me a a puzzle of target field just randomly for christmas when he was up so i was like man
[27:06]maybe i should try doing a puzzle oh oh my god how do people not get obsessed what do you do like oh well oh are you thinking about it right now are you like looking forward to when you can finish this to do your puzzle so i kind of look we're like working on it in peace and then if the upstairs roommate comes in i'm like i'll go downstairs to work for a little bit so i think we may be alternating on the puzzle but it's it's such a it's such a calm relaxing
[27:32]it's silent it's a silent activity what do you get what's your guys puzzle style how many pieces is this one oh like a thousand i don't even know what's the normal puzzle i don't even know say like 500 is kind of normal you know so we do a lot of puzzles or sarah does a lot of puzzles gotten into them uh kirsten from edina yes and then aaron from minneapolis to loyal listeners got you know really into puzzles that are very good at it you can be very good at i mean like they did a 1500
[28:03]piece puzzle i saw on instagram oh shit crazy i mean yeah they do some i mean there's some dumb dumb puzzles where like every piece is the exact same shape and then there's ones where there's just it's the whole thing's white so you're literally just you can't find any colors or anything like that um i mean like people get into this thing we went to the walker art center today free uh first saturday of every month to go to the walker there's a two or twenty thousand piece puzzle that they've got out in this display for just
[28:32]people just to go and there's no way there's no picture of anything so people go absolutely bonkers but i will tell you are you uh are you doing the outside first do you get all the edges russell and then get the you know figure out where the borders are first and then work work in or what's your uh so this is this is the first so i worked a little bit on the one that she had just finished my niece and nephew were up they worked on a little bit with with the upstairs roommate but this is the first one i'd ever done so i started trying to do the edge matt but here's the problem this is a a horizontal puzzle like it's a stadium you know like those
[29:06]it's a very wide puzzle like like a like a stadium poster you know that are very wide but not very michael are we talking like michael jordan arms extended wide like probably not that wide but it's probably it's probably three feet wide oh okay and it it overlaps the damn puzzle table so i'm so excited like if i've got to do the puzzle on a regular table i'm out there's no way i need to be able to spin that bad boy i need my tears spoiled and so you're
[29:34]you're you're spoiled already i had to bust out a piece of cardboard lay it under the spongy mat have it hang off the edge so part of the puzzle is hanging off the edge of my my fancy puzzle table that's russell you you starting with a puzzle table it's a huge mistake you need to start with like at our place when we get a light next to the puzzle we're like ooh la la this is quite high class you know what i mean we're really living it up you have a fancy table and and for your
[30:00]first puzzle it was too big so russell were you good at edging or was that was that trouble the you were just not that great at edging i i have the top edge completed and then i've been working down but i've i think i've been doing it like taking the easy like where there is color up at the top of this stadium puzzle and so i think i was going to oh i can see all the blue pieces i take all those i'm gonna work easiest to hardest so i i i'm going color wise because their colors are pretty obvious in some of this this one can i tell you we did a puzzle up at the cabin over
[30:33]the break here of course i went up to the cabin all snowy kind of by myself we had a puzzle going that my mother-in-law got us now this was only like a 500 piece puzzle or a thousand piece puzzle nothing too crazy but here's the problem two things number one it was a puzzle of roosevelt island so it was like my home that's kind of cool 50 of it was just sky and it was almost all the same color so we by the end we were literally looking for pieces that fit into the right pieces
[31:03]it was a tough puzzle to do a lot of nasty things were said but guess what a puzzle did get finished okay now did i steal the last piece russell so i could put it in last and finish the puzzle myself no i did not i'm not an animal okay i wouldn't do that so how about the last piece is that labeled how would you know it's the last piece i put it in my pocket but how did you know it was the last one because everybody finishes it then they say where's the last piece that i come in and boom
[31:30]mr perfect but what if that was the second to last piece aaron i'd wait until like what if you're well what if your daughter's technically could have been the same plans yeah yeah so the one thing i was going to ask you guys that like when you do these with family or if it's you're doing with your your spouse or your kids or whoever everyone's kind of got a different style of doing it and so like if i start organizing the pieces a certain way and then the upstairs roommate gets involved she's like no i organize them this way how do you keep how
[32:02]do you keep it everything copacetic on a team working on one whoever's puzzle whoever's puzzle it is you go by their rules so you're you're you're a twin stadium puzzle your rules russell you lay down the law and don't take any shit from anybody this is my puzzle if you want to be part of my puzzle you're going to do it my way it's my way or the highway now i am looking at looking on ebay because i'm thinking what would russell love to puzzle so i typed in wwf okay fuck those pandas the original wwf uh wwf puzzles that way i might have that one at my house i know i
[32:35]gotta go to my parents and see which one that one the uh 1075 one with the iron chic up in the corner this has let's just look real quick this is a 250 piece puzzle yeah i think i got that one it's got the iron chic it's got roddy piper it's got uh nikolai volkov who's this right here is this big john stud you got it oh my god i'm on fire russell what do you think about getting some wwf puzzles at home i i like it i i there's part of me that wants to stop the puzzling
[33:05]immediately because i get kind of obsessive about stuff and like no i'm already waiting for this for tonight's episodes to be done so i can go work on the pot or work on the puzzle that's problematic right so then what do you do with completed puzzles like matt once you guys finish a puzzle in your house good question oh i just put it right back in the box and then give it to aaron or krista and cycle through them okay you know what you can do here and what we've done at the family cabin is
[33:32]you can get a little paste that goes on top you kind of paint it on and then it's a framed picture and you can hang it up okay now eventually you're going to kind of run out of space and and they have a ton of pictures of nikolai volkov around but it doesn't seem like the worst idea russell what about this one brutus the barber beefcake i can do the barber look he's wearing the little tie he's wearing the little tie i can do the barber look he's wearing the little tie he's wearing the little tie i can do the barber look he's wearing the little tie did you know there's a puzzling championship russell's big into puzzles now yeah except it's something called erotic puzzles i don't even know what that is
[34:04]yeah rob didn't get in the ibuprofen yet i aaron don't talk about the ibuprofen that's closed okay she's got her hat on i don't even know about that i don't even get it there are puzzle championships russell where they will be doing the same team it's a team sport yes team sport you have to do a puzzle russell do you think you and the upstairs roommate could enter a puzzling championship oh no oh no i'm russell who who uh we we uh we went watch we had our bullbender event and there you
[34:35]know we've got 15 16 guys in the on the text chain who would be your number one and number two pick from the text chain to be your puzzling uh tournament number one contestants with you i would go out to the the waters of lake minnetonka i'm going to take the pleasure principle and he oh yeah he is a guy who's kind of good with games and puzzles like that and word on the street is uh people in his family are are extremely good at rubik's cubes as we know now as well but
[35:02]yeah he was always good at like wheel of fortune puzzles like so i i feel like if you're good at put like seeing that stuff and putting it together you got to be good at that so pleasure principle he's definitely on my team matt who are you taking off the off the chain what do you think ah yeah i think maybe pete from saint paul he seems like he'd be a good puzzle guy like manny from south saint paul not a chance no this is all over the place no way am i taking manny from south i'll just smash these pieces in maybe joe from east joe from east saint paul i bet he'd be
[35:33]pretty good at it too joe for me say paul has never done a puzzle in his life i bet if i bet if it was like a packer themed one or something i'm gonna say no yeah okay and i'm not being critical i've never i've never worked on one either until as of two days ago i was thinking of taking the whole east saint paul continue because i think brian for me saint paul is one of those guys who's just good at everything he does and then if joe for me saint paul is also there that's just going to make brian better
[36:00]i would be worried about that brian for me saint paul would criticize me as i'm doing the puzzle point out that i'm not doing it quite right okay correct answer by the way i'm taking steve from where is he that's the prestigious prestigious west blue yeah guys you want to talk about a guy who's good at stuff you know he's just good at puzzles okay he's got long arms too so you wouldn't you don't need like you know i need the rotating thing like russell russell's taller than most of us on this podcast so he doesn't quite need it but i i definitely i i cannot reach across the the table to complete
[36:32]the puzzle russell some final puzzle advice the puzzle it's a wave you're it's going to go up you're going to ride it and enjoy it then it's going to go down you're not going to enjoy it you're going to not want to do it you got to ride that wave don't force it when you love doing puzzles do puzzles when it's not puzzle time especially like when the sun comes out nobody's puzzling in the summer you know what i mean well unless you're at the cabin but nobody's puzzling you puzzle when it's cold out ride that puzzle wave russell that's my advice rolling going man how's it going with you uh good rob can you play a song for me i think i've got
[37:01]this right sure it's it's uh i'm with you by sheriff i think they're canadian so i'm very late very late so i don't know if you guys did you guys ever watch uh letter kenny about the the guys in canada kind of a thing yep seeing it was great the first three or four seasons and then there's like 14 seasons and then there's like 14 seasons and then there's like 14 seasons and then it kind of kind of died off but the guy in there shorzy who was the funny hockey player who they never showed his face was actually the writer of the show they finally came out with a show
[37:32]a show called shorzy which might be the greatest sports tv show of all time like it's funny makes you think it's about hockey so it's it's got some good action stuff like that but then they they they all sang the song in one of the episodes made me think about it but i think shorzy might be the best sports tv show of all time and i know russell is mr mr sports guy or mr tv guy he does all the greatest shows of all time
[38:03]as are there any other i was trying to think are there any other good like great i mean he's got friday night lights is is the king of the mountain i would say for sure okay yeah i could see that let's put on the mount rushmore then i sure as he might be on the mount rushmore of sports tv shows what else is there russell can you come up with any other sports sports tv shows well you can always kind of white shadow but i never watched that ted lasso would be a sports show i would say okay okay yep
[38:34]i would say so ted lasso i'd take shorzy over over that one that one's kind of getting a little touchy feeling but it's good season one is great what about uh uh yeah really there's not much sports show wise is there i mean what's the one with hbo that it's not will ferrell not uh who's that guy he's a comedian oh he's bounding down he's bounding down is that a sports show i probably yes that show i mean that now that is one of the greatest shows
[39:03]of all time in my opinion it might they might surprise you that i really enjoyed that show but i don't yeah i don't know russell do we need more do we need i would say winning time winning time the lakers show that was on hbo was highly highly entertaining yep and i think we're not talking documentaries right because i love winning time is kind of like a i don't i don't know what you call it it's it's based on real tv but it's kind of a like comedy type thing yeah uh yeah i don't know i mean the last dance is right up there but that's a documentary like i don't know there's
[39:33]how about uh ballers the rock show i never watched it that counts ballers is good does does cobra kai count karate or not uh technically yeah yeah i would say but that's not i mean there's not a season right i think with a sports show you want like an up and down with the season you want i don't know they're going for the championship at the end of it and then when they win the championship they come back the next year and how does it things like that so so i just i i was
[40:02]shocked because of uh letter kenny how i was like man this thing is just dragging on and all this stuff and then they went to shore as you come same writer same dudes doing it kind of same concept same town all that but it is an awesome show and i'd hide recommend you check it out especially if you're a hockey fan because it's some good good hockey content as well so there is not a lot of good ones if you look on these lists these are not good shows none of them are yeah wow yeah we're only going rob how's it going with
[40:34]you oh oh hold on yes uh how did we forget about coach dauber that's a sports show right yeah i said that i meant it but that was never about the sports right because literally it would just be coach coming in being like oh my god we lost or oh my god we won and and then he'd be like the rest of the episode would just be off of that like it was you never really knew how the screaming eagles were doing season wise okay every once in a while they made a bowl but i got it listen oh and then
[41:02]uh let's have to say rosie i don't know if i had bk uh i've tried i've been looking this side to uh football games over here i've been looking over here to try to find the shoes that i thought i had and i can't find them no i might have had the gray i've i've i've kind of found them coming back to it i thought i had um the bk nights but i might have had the gray pumps reebok pumps i'm not trying to figure out the shoes that i had like seventh grade that i thought would be nice so i might be a fraud i might not have had bk nights so that's
[41:31]too bad because now it's just literally me focusing on the podcast i'm the only one this is really bad you're all we got rob listen it's on you you know it's the end of 2025 so that of course means now russell i'm just going to challenge you to not say no during this rolling going once okay that's just your challenge i shouldn't read ahead okay this is good hold on hold on yes hold on anybody if anybody is like distracted right now who's listening to the podcast just set down
[42:00]whatever you're doing and get ready for for the next five minutes of the podcast please this is going to be great 2025 is over and so of course one of the greatest releases at the end of well probably should say releases at the end of 2025 is of course the adult website porn hub does come year in review and you know every year i like to take a look to see what trends see what's happening to do this this is this is oh it's on my it's on my calendar wait do you get your personal year review you get rob's top searches for the year listen that's for amateurs i mean literally uh
[42:34]i'm searching music and background all right so here's the thing okay there's a little tip for you guys out there uh let's let's go to the year in review this is the porn that we looked at last year these are the categories that made us hornies when we were grabbing our gear
[43:00]when we are home alone touching our bone airpods and only one ear what's the most important this year you still gotta have a daughter's gonna walk out of the bathroom behind you it's fine okay don't say hey did you did you say the episode that had the least amount of views did we say uh it was tracy chab and no baseball version of course 55 yeah 55 pathetic views but i you know the baseball got more yeah oh yeah the baseball
[43:36]got way way more there you go so listen okay i'm just gonna sum this up but basically okay in 2025 this is my favorite stat that they have the average time of engagement on the site unfortunately it went down seven seconds from 2024 it is now all the way to nine minutes and 33 seconds okay now i have to say this here is the website that where they they actually have it
[44:03]if you guys look they've got so much data they break it down i highly recommend everybody goes on the their insight page it's very interesting but we are down seven seconds to nine minutes and 33 seconds between the the highest time of day 10 to midnight okay the highest traffic day get this guess what day of the week is the highest traffic day what do you think monday you guys are all like this is a trap
[44:32]probably sunday it is sunday russell last year it was monday it's gone to church in the morning get ready for a whole new batch of sin sunday night there you go it's something about sunday evening where people are like damn i got the sunday evening sunday scaries weekend is over i tried all weekend it didn't work out and i'm left with my own gear device you're left to your own devices sunday night at 11 p.m that's the the peak time all my calls went unanswered from thursday
[45:03]afternoon until the number one time where the porn hub server servers are chugging is 11 p.m on a sunday okay that's crazy uh the world's most popular categories okay once again in the u.s and of course it is lesbian uh but transgender has stepped up milf i'm not gonna say that one mature have conquered the top five spots uh it's lesbians actually up three spots this year with transgender up five spots so aaron you know it seems like maybe the world is not going the way we want yet
[45:34]in the world of porn hub things are getting a little more progressive okay the the unfortunately aaron okay and i know you were asking about this earlier the milf category did fall down to third third place it is all the way down justice for local moms aaron they're in your area okay and like i said i still am getting the ads where it's like ugly ones are in your area and they and i'm just like please don't insult me the category that had the
[46:05]highest gross was and this is not it was podcast at 327 327 percent increase now porn podcast what what does that mean i don't know if it's a scene about four guys four 40 year old guys doing a podcast or i just had a really funny thought yeah we haven't explored that yet the shortest viewed with an
[46:30]average of three minutes and 56 seconds aaron the search term was vertical video what the fuck is going on i don't even know what's going on here i'm just going to tell you right now three minutes and 56 seconds guys that are so lazy they don't even want to turn their phone to landscape mode you know what i mean they're just like it's got to be vertical mode i got the xl phone it's way too wide to turn sideways i don't have one of those holders the best uh oh by the way the average length of time for feet videos aaron 538 it's the fifth shortest video uh generation x i looked at what they wanted their taste is all
[47:05]too gross i can't say it so i did look at what the top boomer searches are people who are boomers what they're searching on pornub you know what the top search is for if you're over 55 babes babes it's just you're searching for babes we're gonna be searching babes in 10 years i told you our look at this blue ox isn't it amazing look at the hams on that thing oh i have never watched just a great bambino
[47:36]awesome 27 yankees porn can't wait for that just boring ass parents babes what are you doing over there oh i'm just watching something i'm just watching something i'm just watching something murderers row hey what kind of stuff am i into well i do like babes but i mean babes what's your favorite candy bar uh so anyway that is it for uh the year in review
[48:01]uh let's get into the album it's time for nobody's but i highly recommend it let's talk about the album i mean here's all the stats right here if you guys want to look parody oh by the way the number one move the number two movie search term what the fuck i gotta admit if i got on my nevermind spider-man what could that possibly all right listen let's we are talking about pink floyds oh gotta go best all this porn stuff again
[48:31]uh pink floyds uh uh uh wish you were here okay this is you have to understand pink floyd just came out with dark side of the moon two years before this this is the most anticipated rock album of all time at the time there was no other album that was more pre-ordered than this one people could not wait to see what pink floyd was going to do after dark side of the moon which is kind of what if you think about what this album is it's kind of
[49:00]crazy it's really i mean this is a what a five song album it's 44 minutes long it's a great album to listen to it's only i listened to it and i was like oh it's over already yeah uh this album is a response basically pink floyd gets super super famous they started of course as a psychedelic band they get super super famous they get super super famous they get super super famous after dark side of the moon they're burned out they feel taken advantage of by the music industry so a lot of this album is them kind of complaining about the music industry and the sadness that they're so famous that one of their original members isn't there anymore
[49:30]with sid barrett who had left you know i think three albums prior due to uh a mental illness and lsd use big sid barrett or little sid barrett this is i believe that would be vicious i know i just i mean that joke made two people laugh and they're both on the zoom call and basically again with this album we have kind of gilmore david gilmore the guitarist versus roger waters the bassist and kind of the main visionary of the band
[50:01]and what you have to understand is that after this album waters takes more and more control as you go so after this we have animals which is waters we have the wall which is totally a waters joint and basically waters becomes such a prick that the band breaks up their final album of pink floyd in 83 is basically just a water solo album but what this is really about is the loss of sid barrett who actually the guitarist gave it david gilmore came in to replace he had been on the first two albums he had to leave and they're so sad about it that this whole album is about that you know shine on
[50:31]you crazy diamond like syd this stands for sid uh and so basically uh uh this is an album kind of about their their sadness of not having a bandmate combined with their anger at uh at how much uh being in the music industry sucks now think about this you've been waiting two years since dark side of the moon one of the greatest rock albums of all time you put this on and this is what you hear for the opening noises and it's a long ass first song 13 minutes i think almost every song on this album you kind of go
[51:05]like and i don't have it on vinyl but almost every song you go like wait has the song started or is this a long lead-in or what's going on they're really asking for a lot of patience here a lot of sense a lot of build but if you're thinking about it in terms of like oh what are they going to do like the anticipation here is so great it's i love it now later on in shine on you crazy diamond we get to sid's theme it's these four notes it's kind of repeated as a motif throughout
[51:35]the whole album the first song and the last song are shine on you crazy diamond which of course s y d like i said before sid so sid had left the band like acrimoniously or he no he just kind of he just had was doing so much lsd that he kind of bailed out and actually when they were doing the vocals here an overweight guy with a shaved head comes in the studio and everybody's like who the
[52:02]fuck is this guy and it's fucking sid barrett comes in while they are recording a song about him and that's what this whole song is about about how you know he was so great and so brilliant and i really like this song i never had i never listened to it from the start of the album to listen to all that garbage like i've only heard it on like 94.5 kgto but like i like this one a lot i like the harmonies i like the guitar i'm telling you right now there's some bangers on
[52:34]this album when you get past all like the tuning in your radio stuff garbage you gotta listen to yeah yeah yeah by the way speaking of diamonds what is your guys's uh wedding ring situation how did you do that i i took my wife to get size for a ring before i bought one what what was your guys did you guys have some like how did you do it yeah i think we bought
[53:02]it together i bought the diamond first and then i think we went together to studio vincent downtown minneapolis and bought something together if i remember right i matt what about you what's your ring situation uh some somebody had some private jeweler in bloomington or something so it got sarah famously and i don't know how much i remember this story anymore but we were going on vacation i don't know like in the end of january and like right around the beginning of january sarah just like broke down on me he's
[53:33]like this house is a pit you don't know we gotta fix it i don't know how we ever gonna get better you know she thought i was dragging out all this stuff and i was gonna you know propose like a month later on this vacation whatever and i was like i don't know you know i'm just not ready to ready kind of thing so she was very very so it was all good timing for me but she had no idea well she didn't really have any idea it was coming so i didn't i had to go pick it out myself and try to figure out her ring and ring size and all that so yeah nothing nothing crazy i'm gonna do
[54:02]it differently next time for sure uh russell what's your wedding ring situation it's kind of like one of those uh those uh christmas games where you just re-gift everything so i'm thinking anything i've ever gotten in the past for someone else i could probably just push pay it forward right yeah yeah do you guys do you guys have your wedding rings do you have your original wedding ring oh yeah i do i got because i got my 12 rubber band or whatever from uh because i lost
[54:31]mine years ago i lost mine a year and i told her too i said when you guys said don't spend over a hundred dollars on it because it's gone and sure enough i lost it inside a stripper oh my god jesus what she was eating wings and it fell in russell oh do you not wear a ring at all rob no no never have i no i would actually well you're not wearing everybody's gonna be like oh that guy's single what's wrong with him well now that i'm getting skinny we'll see if i get as russell says high class trim okay so i gotta but i'm thinking about getting one of those i'm thinking
[55:04]about getting one of those sleep rings you know the the ouija or whatever but i'm worried it's gonna be too depressing it's gonna be like you are dying i don't want to know yeah yeah my i still have my mind's made out of damascus steel it's actually really cool but it's not very clean right now so you can't see all the little whirls in it but yeah it's a very i'm really proud i like how engraved in there and it just says i guess i think that's good yeah that was her that's right you'll do welcome to the machine about the about the music industry
[55:33]a lot of effects on the voice to make it sound impersonal guys this feels like other stuff we've heard on the other pig flint it's big time right yeah yeah like is this song on other pink floyd albums no that no that slide sounds very familiar like you've heard it i think this sounds a lot like the wall i think is what it is it sounds you're you're hearing a lot of roger waters here with this i didn't do a list on this or
[56:03]anything but i was thinking what are your guys favorite machine songs so i was thinking machine head by bush that's what was gonna be my number one right there you got sex machine is that james brown right yeah oh my god that's a good one you got uh love machine i'm just a love machine oh my god that's so good and of course we're hearing all these other russell because i hate myself i don't have too much to do on sunday what other machine songs are there imagine dragons
[56:31]they have a machine song or not dancing machine yes love machine yeah how about uh oh boy machine gun band of gypsies machine gun live at the film that's jim hendrix yeah i don't know russell should there be more rock songs about machines like machines are doing it like that's where i get all my widgets yeah machines yeah i mean hey levers where's machine fit on the
[57:02]pornhub search terms i think i think that comedian ramp ruined the machine because he's got like the famous bit called the machine so now no one can like it'd be like poaching from whatever that guy's name is it's a great point uh have a cigar once again about the music industry so this is not the same track as welcome to the machine i just saw this one track i think this is like a we are the champions scenario where they'd always play it together on tracks do kind of blend
[57:33]together right yeah they're together i think they blend into each other one of the lines in the song listen to this line which one's pink was an actual line uttered by an executive at their record company because they thought pink floyd was a guy which of course i thought until i was like 10 but for them
[58:01]it was like they were basically like oh we've just sold the best-selling album of all time and some guy in charge of the company doesn't even know that pink floyd is not a person like we're just little pieces of we're just widgets to a man it's like they're in a machine wish you were here of course it's about sid barrett but this is so damn good right yeah this is nice unbelievable it'd be hard to argue with matt i don't know if this is on matt's 100 but if it is it belongs there right i know it's on my soft chill songs list so it's so good
[58:38]i mean this beginning i've been singing this all day so you think you could tell i like his voice a lot better with all the effects and the yelling yeah this is i mean this is a big thing with pink floyd right is that you have david gilmore who's like the music should be good it should be musical it should sound good and then you have roger waters who's like there should be a theme we should hear helicopters it
[59:03]should sound like the police are coming after you when you're listening to this you know what i mean so you have that kind of dynamicism and the contrast between them that made these albums so good until waters took over and it kind of fell apart but listen to this i mean this is the main part of wish you were here how i wish you were here that is straight fire we're just two lost souls if that doesn't make you i mean like that's like a top three line in the history of written music
[59:37]of all time you know it's a good line when every single person has thought about this line thinking about a person in their life yes all different situations and that every single person can relate to this song i wish you were here it could be about so many different people now i'm just going to tell you don't go read the youtube comments okay not the most fun place to be hanging out
[60:01]thought i'd get a quick laugh go to the comments pretty depressing actually not uplifting okay unlike uh love machine the comments there i like the bowie-esque you know mystic mix the acoustic guitar with the electric instruments i think that's fun so i don't know so gilmore's the guy who's bringing the musicality to this are there are there pink floyd albums where he where that sound is resonating through the whole
[60:31]album or no i don't think so because roger water you know sid and roger waters grew up together they were like you know good buddies for since they were kids kind of a thing and so that's why i think the and i don't know a lot about this so somebody magic mike 69 can write in and tell us how off we are in this but the sense i get is that's where the butting of the heads is right because gilmore is a fucking genius he's just phenomenal i'm a gilmore guy not a roger waters guy kind of a thing when looking at pink floyd so i think there's just it'd be like anything you
[61:04]know every time the john from edina comes on i'm like god damn it that guy's good at podcasting he should be on this podcast not me kind of a thing and you know we try to fight over who should be on the podcast that kind of a thing you know so i think there's that's where it all comes in because all of a sudden you know they get roger what even the roger waters songs are great on this album but then gilmore song is by far the best one on this album you know and i think there's a little bit of i don't want to say it's jealousy but there is a little bit of
[61:33]butting heads attention for sure right yeah i've been here the whole time i can i can make good i don't know so it's just it feels weird but gilmore is my that's that's the team i'm on team gilmore personally and russell like the pipers at the gates of dawn gilmore wasn't even in the band then until sid left so that's all sid barrett kind of super psychedelic with roger waters so yeah i don't know i i think i think this is the album that has that sound and i think wish you were here is that sound and then we get to the final song fifth song shine on your crazy diamond
[62:02]part two we've done we've done part twos before on the on the same album though have we done it we must have a list once on oh i well i know unforgiven is on there because i just listened to the metallica episode godfather two hot shots part two oh aaron you know you know i love that you know you're tickling me there the idea of the number of movies in the 90s that had fake saddam guys were going crazy in the 90s
[62:32]they were acting in so many movies between naked gun and hot shots god they were going nuts uh and then at the end instead of kind of looks like a fake saddam i saw a picture i was like that's they put a fake saddam in the airplane and put a blindfold on but we're fine okay things are gonna be so good yeah we're just gonna go for a while yeah let's not worry about it it's i'm not worried at all okay and then finally listen to how this album ends you know instead of just the song ending it kind of fades out makes you think about uh kind of the journey of the band and
[63:06]what's crazy is that this is really going to start like this is going to start like this is going to start like probably i mean they go from dark side of the moon to this to animals which i know is on the list we haven't done it yet but then they go to the wall i mean what a crazy run for a band now it helps you said this is 76 uh 75 yeah 75 what year did stevie wonder do secret life of plants this sounds like secret life of plants let's look it up secret life that came later
[63:34]so this is the last this is the last pink floyd album on the list are you serious yes we have the dark side of the moon at 55 the wall at 129 we had the piper at the gates of dawn at 253 and then this is 264 so they're all this is the end wow yeah uh perhaps too many yep but i let me ask you this uh secret life of plants 79 so maybe maybe stevie was listening to this i don't know
[64:02]so aaron that's a soundtrack to a documentary called the secret life of plants yeah it's a movie soundtrack written by a blind guy and the movie is about plants that's crazy because i did this too much to unpeel there aaron that's like a big onion i can't even peel it okay peel it that's a big wedge salad there i'm just gonna say this aaron secret life of plants was the uh 9 000th most popular search term last year 2025 so that's
[64:31]and now it's time hey everybody's this georgio key show i had a good idea it'll oh aaron was that another art joke did i just come up with another artist dude you're a smart art guy we know oh you know more like uh excuse me i said you know a lot of artists yeah oh instead of dadaism how about dadaism of course i know some artists aaron i'm a smart guy i'm a smart guy which is what smart guys say all the time it's on albert einstein's
[65:04]grave i'm a smart guy quote now i'm a smart guy which is what smart guys say all the time it's on now let's get into ranking this album i i'm just gonna say this before we start because i don't get to give a serious answer i think this is the best pink floyd album we've listened to i would listen to this one over the wall certainly over piper at the gates of dawn gotta hear what our saint olaf uh student thinks if she's out running trying to hold her bowels listening to this episode as well uh let's get into it is this album which is currently at god back to the
[65:31]porn stuff it's just all uh is is this is currently at 264 okay does this album have album perfect at 264 that would be rolling well toned okay is this album should be lower on the list which of course would be a higher number we would see it in the future okay uh i mean what could the future be like aaron all right what are we doing three years from now uh this right here this exact thing wrong we're not doing another pink floyd album aaron this is the last pink
[66:01]floyd album roger waters david gilmore they're they're this is gone okay no more shine on you crazy diamonds see you guys later okay why was piper at the gates of dawn on this list it makes no sense one of the worst albums we've done in my opinion or is this album uh should have been higher up on the list which of course would have been a lower number now i know what you're thinking how can a higher number be lower well that's because the timeline is inverted okay the number
[66:30]scale is now vertical it's it's like listen it's like russell's puzzle spin that table vertical think about russell the farther you go with the puzzle how many pieces are there less that's exactly the opposite of this list the lower numbers the farther we were not on this list so that's something to think about and i've kind of confused myself there what do you think 264 wish you were here by the pink floyd uh matt what do you think rolling well toned rolling bone or rolling groan i'm this this is a top two pink floyd album for me you know i still think the
[67:08]reason this is this uh album is here is because of wish you were here you know then listen to the album and yep i mean the whole thing is great it's it's a little slow it's hard to to really like get through it and like get a sitting sitting session if you will but um it's just it's too much pink floyd for 500 albums to have four of them the top 264 i just don't think it's there you know
[67:32]we've talked about the beatles we're definitely going to talk about too much exposure next week when we get into the album and then we're going to talk about the album and then we're going to kind of a thing but you know i think this album itself fits in great at 264 seems like a you know top 300 album of all time kind of a thing so i'm going to say it's rolling well toned but a little bit of a caveat that this is just too much pink floyd in the in the top of the list uh russell what do you think rolling well toned rolling bone or rolling groan i'll go rolling well toned i would maybe go a little bit different i think there's no way
[68:04]you can put this above dark side of the moon that's like a legendary album there's no way there's like there's like the the what's the damn movie the the the wicked predecessor whatever that movie's called the what's that movie called wizard of oz it's got like the wizard of oz thing but there's like so much lore about that album so that's got to stay up there i'm going to keep the wall up there i think this is good where it's at i think where they messed it up was that the piper at the gates of dawn needed to be out of that list earlier so i'm going to say this one
[68:33]can stay even though i kind of think personally for me this is a one this is a one that's going to this is a one hit wonder song or album where the one song so damn good it carries it it's 20 of the album i mean that's part of it it's it's when you're only doing five songs an album you can produce a whole ton of albums imagine if this podcast was five minutes long guys we'd be done you know what i mean we'd be like album pretty good see ya i'd get a little bit in there about my review of the year too but i'd make that work somehow uh five four minutes and 23 seconds there
[69:03]in average time uh aaron what do you think rolling well toned rolling bone or rolling groan i think this is a one hit wonder song or album where the one song so damn good it carries it pink floyd uh wish you were here i have to give this a a rolling groan because this is not an album it's a single where the a side is wish you were here the b side is shine on you crazy diamond and then it's a bunch of filler i just don't think there are enough musical ideas on here to make it a full album i think the greats the great parts are great like if that were a single i'd buy the 12 inch but it's not really to me an album so i'm gonna give it a rolling groan unfortunately
[69:34]you guys are incorrect shit damn it no way this gets by the way listening to like five of our episodes that erode today has broken my brain because i waited for you all to say shit and no way i also realized by the way matt has a bit where he wants me to put my lips up to the camera a lot that happened in multiple episodes that i listened to where matt thinks that's funny okay i'm not falling for your tricks anymore man okay kind of trying to go georgia you got a good good looking mustache what do you got a full full
[70:03]man chew right now or is it i can't that's my rolling going for next week don't look at my face okay i'll show you how'd you like it he's trying to make me go all george o'keefe up close here uh unfortunately this gets a rolling maybe we'll be famous if one of us is gone oh no i don't like that at all maybe we'll be famous if one of us leaves and maybe we'll be really famous if three of you leave uh listen next up i don't like that right me with a good time you're kicking us off the podcast can you
[70:31]imagine if i kick you guys off and i become the most famous podcaster of the world oh my god i don't know you kicked me off the one week and my uncle says he hasn't listened since he actually told me that we were at a family holiday event and the week you eliminated a few of us it was he actually told me what episode it was he said there was an episode i believe it was cat stevens he said he has not listened since the cat stevens episode which came shortly after you replaced us i will say russell one of the episodes i did listen to today uh started with you telling us
[71:04]that somebody told you they had just stopped listening to the podcast yeah so let's immediately i'll be quiet yeah and let's ignore that how we have no voicemails today was maybe part of that all right listen it's the holiday season russell they don't want to call next up this next album's title is what i repeat when i'm performing oral sex on the mother of my two children oh no she does not like it it's it's well now i gotta do this right it it's it's it's
[71:37]when you want to hear about the greatest god i wish my kids went to bed earlier aaron starting early no no don't say that rob beck did it better i could be upstairs and work i could be upstairs and working on that
[72:03]puzzle by midnight this is gonna be great i gotta go to hyrule castle in an ocarina of time wow you guys are so cool it's time to say matt and rob the cool guys of the podcast you know russell it's crazy because i i looked up on pornhub i looked up puzzles and nothing came up but edging and interlocking pieces was like number six
