[00:00]Now, my kid's in her room listening to Bob Marley, so I think everything's fine.

[00:03]She just got back from the party.

[00:06]Everything's good.

[00:08]She asked me how many holes of straw I have.

[00:10]She and their plane burned one down.

[00:13]Yeah, yeah.

[00:14]I think everything's fine.

[00:15]She asked me if we have any cardboard tubes and laundry.

[00:21]What do you call those?

[00:22]Laundry sheets?

[00:23]I don't know.

[00:24]I guess she's doing a craft project.

[00:25]She just grabbed an apple and went straight to her room.

[00:28]Oh, my God.

[00:30]I cannot tell you how many times when we were on that Lutzen ski trip,

[00:33]it'd be a certain person who maybe I had room with who we'd always be there and be like,

[00:39]hey, you want to smoke some weed?

[00:41]I'd be like, yeah, of course I do.

[00:42]This would rule.

[00:43]I'm in a ski lodge with college buddies and I'm an adult.

[00:45]This is a great need to be like, okay, we got to find a can or an apple.

[00:51]I was like, what?

[00:52]Hey, Wes, whatever you guys do, though.

[00:57]What's up?

[00:57]Never, never.

[00:59]Don't.

[01:00]Don't.

[01:00]Don't do it.

[01:01]Just don't do it, guys.

[01:02]Okay.

[01:04]What's your limit, Matt?

[01:05]Matt, we missed you a week ago.

[01:07]We talked about how I was playing blackjack two weeks ago and I had to lend.

[01:12]I sat down.

[01:13]I was playing blackjack and this guy that I know professionally.

[01:15]Where was I?

[01:16]We skipped you.

[01:17]Rob replaced you with nobody.

[01:18]Oh, fuck.

[01:19]He didn't even get a fillet for you.

[01:21]He did nobody.

[01:22]He did the Clint Eastwood, like set up an empty chair.

[01:24]He was like, this is Matt.

[01:25]Yeah.

[01:26]I got to do two rolling goings.

[01:28]Can we just say this real quick?

[01:30]I just want to, let's go.

[01:31]We pull back the curtain and here's how it went.

[01:33]You know, Rob had, Rob was in South Africa, you know, two weeks, two plus weeks.

[01:38]Right.

[01:40]Guys, we got to record.

[01:41]We're going to record.

[01:42]I'm like, Hey, I'm on vacation.

[01:43]I can't do it.

[01:44]You know?

[01:45]Oh, you know, no.

[01:47]And I said, but just go ahead without me.

[01:49]Okay, let's go.

[01:50]Let's see if we go Friday Saturday.

[01:51]Like Russell, a couple of weeks ago, you know, like it was like, oh man, we're like, we were

[01:56]just, should we do it?

[01:58]Should we not do it?

[01:58]We were like.

[02:00]Just hemming and hawing for days about it.

[02:02]In 13 seconds, Rob.

[02:03]Nope, nope.

[02:04]We'll do it.

[02:04]You guys even canceled a double episode.

[02:06]You did the one single for me when I was out, but you canceled the double.

[02:10]Rob was like, fuck it.

[02:11]You can only carry one.

[02:12]Let's go.

[02:12]I think, I think honestly, I think all of us could be gone on this show except for Aaron.

[02:20]If Aaron was gone, this show would be.

[02:22]I couldn't be the main host.

[02:23]No, I couldn't be the main host.

[02:24]This is Rob.

[02:26]This is like a humble break where Rob's like, I think all of us.

[02:29]I think.

[02:30]I think I could be gone and the show would, show would go on.

[02:32]You know what?

[02:33]I was out with some St.

[02:35]Olaf people a few weeks ago.

[02:36]We were watching our good friend, Manny, coach a great game in South St.

[02:39]Paul football.

[02:40]And one of our buddies, Joe from Woodbury said, I love the parts of the podcast where

[02:45]Rob leaves for about a minute and you guys just bomb and you have nothing to say.

[02:50]So no, we could not survive.

[02:53]Maybe we can do the show, but it'd be a lot faster.

[02:56]We can just do a 20 minute show.

[02:58]You know, it'd be like, no problem.

[03:00]So anyways, man, let me set this scene for you.

[03:02]Ross is at a blackjack table with somebody he knows kind of from work professionally.

[03:07]Okay.

[03:07]Well, but in your company or like, no, not someone I work with someone in our industry

[03:13]that I've met for maybe 15 combined minutes.

[03:15]Gotcha.

[03:16]Gotcha.

[03:17]He says, he's playing.

[03:19]He says, Hey, borrow me five bucks so I can double my bet.

[03:22]He, he says, sound with like no money, right, Matt?

[03:24]So he's not really playing.

[03:25]Give me five bucks so I can double my bet.

[03:28]Absolutely.

[03:28]Five.

[03:29]Throw it to him.

[03:30]He loses.

[03:30]Then he says, Hey, throw me 25 bucks so I can keep playing.

[03:34]So I haven't, I give him the money.

[03:37]He loses again.

[03:38]And then he asks for a third loan.

[03:41]And I finally, I say, no, I'm done.

[03:44]I'm done loading you money.

[03:45]What's your, what's your strategy?

[03:47]Are you loading?

[03:47]I would actually call him out.

[03:49]Like, so what am I, what can I expect this money back?

[03:52]What's your plan here?

[03:54]Like, you know, what's, what's going on here, Joe?

[03:57]So did the guy pay you?

[03:58]Did the guy pay you back?

[04:00]Not for the 30 I lent him.

[04:02]No, but I, I would imagine I'll never talk to him again, but I bet that's just kind of

[04:06]the, that's the cost to pay the boss, right?

[04:09]Like he just, I did it.

[04:11]I'm never going to get it back.

[04:12]Wow.

[04:13]Jeez.

[04:13]What can you imagine?

[04:14]It never even, Aaron, it never even dawned on me that I would get the money back.

[04:18]Yeah.

[04:19]You were like, Oh, this is good.

[04:20]This money's gone.

[04:20]Right.

[04:21]Is there a chance?

[04:22]This is like one of those, like, you know, you got to unlock the door to see if the girl

[04:26]reaches across and opens the door for you or whatever kind of a thing.

[04:29]Or she unlocked.

[04:30]Was there any chance?

[04:31]This is like a test.

[04:32]No, no.

[04:33]You know, he's like, how far can I push Mr. Russell and how much will he give me if it's

[04:38]more than 50 bucks that I'm not doing business.

[04:40]Matt, you know, when someone sits down and they don't know what they're doing at the

[04:43]blackjack table and they sit down, they just start throwing and they're like, you knew

[04:47]what?

[04:47]It was just a mess.

[04:48]Yeah.

[04:48]I will say this.

[04:49]So one of the first years we went to Vegas, Joe from Woodbury, one of our good friends,

[04:53]he goes to Vegas every year.

[04:55]He had an industry colleague that sat down with me and we were winning.

[04:59]And I lent him a lot of money.

[05:02]It was not Joe from Woodbury.

[05:05]Now, my good college friend who if like I've lent it, like if I let you guys money, I wouldn't

[05:10]even think twice because I know you guys would give me the next day.

[05:12]You give me within a week or whatever.

[05:14]Yeah.

[05:14]But this is a guy I'd never met before.

[05:16]And he was kind of like he came off as like a Barney Big Nuts, like Big Spender type guy.

[05:21]He did.

[05:22]And I remember loaning the money.

[05:23]Except he was the guy who was like, oh, no, you don't buy drinks at the table.

[05:26]You go buy drinks in the in the bodega off the.

[05:28]Yeah.

[05:29]Yeah.

[05:29]But I remember I let this guy like a material sum of cash.

[05:34]And then I think I he lost and he was betting big money.

[05:38]And I just assumed I'd get it back.

[05:41]And then I eventually had to go to Joe from Woodbury and be like, hey, you got to pay me for this.

[05:45]And Joe did because he's he's a stand up dude.

[05:48]And then Joe, as the middleman, went and got the money back from him.

[05:51]Wow.

[05:52]Did he break some fingers?

[05:54]Yeah, really?

[05:55]Yeah.

[05:56]That would be embarrassing.

[05:58]I anytime I haven't paid somebody.

[05:59]It's always been one of the most embarrassing things of my life.

[06:02]I hate owing people money.

[06:04]I've said this more than once in the podcast.

[06:06]I still owe Russell for the room from twenty twenty two.

[06:08]I think so.

[06:09]I think everything, everything shakes out the end.

[06:13]Have Russell paid for this year's room, which is going to be a thousand dollars.

[06:17]Yeah.

[06:17]In twenty twenty four.

[06:19]Friends decide to listen to everyone.

[06:20]Flamingo.

[06:21]Matt is Matt being real.

[06:22]What he says we're doing the flamingo this year is booked.

[06:24]Right.

[06:25]I did not book yet.

[06:26]But like that, you look, Russell, you tell me.

[06:29]Like that is the only place that is a hundred dollars cheaper than everything else.

[06:33]Now, the flamingo is classically a rundown casino.

[06:35]Russell, do you care how nice your hotel room is?

[06:38]Really?

[06:38]I mean, if the ladies of the night are a little cheaper, I'll sign up for it.

[06:42]Rob, bleep that.

[06:43]Rob, you have to bleep that out.

[06:45]We talked about this before.

[06:46]When I want to bleep something out, you got to bleep something out.

[06:49]Rob, she's standing upstairs.

[06:53]Ron, Ron, she's upstairs.

[06:57]Listen.

[06:59]Russell, we can never let all of our significant others know how much we spend with the ladies

[07:07]of the night when we go to Vegas.

[07:08]Oh, God.

[07:08]Okay.

[07:09]I will never let them know exactly how many times we've gone with professional escorts.

[07:14]Okay.

[07:15]We definitely have done that.

[07:17]Do not.

[07:18]Yeah.

[07:18]Do not disclose the number.

[07:19]Yeah.

[07:20]If you think I'm less embarrassed about that than setting an alarm at 730 so I can run

[07:25]to the sports book to bet early college games.

[07:29]How about this year, Russell?

[07:30]Let's all write down what we eat when we're there and let's read it on air for our next

[07:34]podcast.

[07:34]Do you want to do that instead?

[07:35]I thought the Spearmint Rhino was a petting zoo.

[07:39]I apologize.

[07:40]I thought the Rhino was a zoo.

[07:42]And I know we say it.

[07:44]We say it every year.

[07:45]We say it every year.

[07:46]Everybody always asks me, oh, do you guys like go to like any fancy restaurants?

[07:50]I go, no.

[07:51]I said, the group that I go with, I tell everybody at work and everything.

[07:54]I go, I said, here's, here's the group I go with.

[07:57]We could go spend a hundred dollars.

[07:59]We could go spend a hundred dollars at a steak place, but that is $95 more that they

[08:04]cannot spend betting on sports when they can just go get a hot dog for five bucks.

[08:07]I'm doubling my Wagobi dose when I get down there.

[08:11]So I'm not going to eat anything.

[08:12]I'm going to be a gambling machine.

[08:14]We did the Gordon Ramsay burgers one year.

[08:17]That was like about a 35 down.

[08:19]We had it delivered.

[08:19]Didn't we?

[08:20]Like somebody, we did have to take out to the, like we had it like take out to the sports

[08:25]book.

[08:25]It's the thing is when you gamble with money, you actually make more money.

[08:29]That's what a lot of people don't realize.

[08:30]It comes back.

[08:31]It's an investment.

[08:32]And if you lose it, well, then you just bet more because eventually you're going to get

[08:35]it back.

[08:36]Or if you're Aaron, you deduct that on your taxes.

[08:38]That's right.

[08:39]You need to itemize.

[08:41]I have $800 set aside currently for bubble grabs.

[08:45]It is going to make me so much money this year.

[08:47]I have a scheme.

[08:48]I have a system that is guaranteed to work.

[08:51]Okay.

[08:52]100%.

[08:53]In 2020, four friends I saw that I saw it on Tik TOK, a hundred, four friends said, listen,

[08:59]everyone in 2020, four friends decided to listen to every one of the greatest 500 albums

[09:03]is decided by Rolling Stone magazine.

[09:04]This resulted in a text chain that's celebrating the music, excoriated the order and led us

[09:08]to make this podcast.

[09:09]You know what?

[09:09]I'm doing this as loud as I want.

[09:11]Okay.

[09:11]Nobody controls me.

[09:12]Nobody tells me.

[09:13]Nobody tells me what to do.

[09:14]Yeah.

[09:14]We can, we can tell.

[09:16]We are far from experts and promise to do almost no research.

[09:18]All opinions are our own.

[09:19]Unless you disagree.

[09:20]Some guys run their house.

[09:21]Some guys run around their house.

[09:22]Beck did it better.

[09:23]I just thought if my kid comes in and slams the door, I'm going to be so mad.

[09:27]We're all the way up to album two.

[09:28]And from 1966, we have maybe the most intimidating singer I have heard yet on this list.

[09:36]She will let you know.

[09:37]And I don't think that indicates any weird mom issues I have.

[09:41]Okay.

[09:41]It's not a big deal that when I hear a forceful woman, I immediately get very scared.

[09:45]Okay.

[09:46]And I'm worried that it's Sunday night at five o'clock.

[09:48]I'm never going to hide these sandwiches in my pocket pants again.

[09:52]It's Nina Simone.

[09:55]I won't do it, mom.

[09:56]I promise.

[09:56]Wild is the wind.

[09:58]That would, you know, I don't know.

[09:58]You know what?

[09:59]I got to say, if my kid put sandwiches in their pocket and we wash it, I would be so

[10:02]fucking pissed.

[10:03]I get it now.

[10:04]As an adult.

[10:05]It's terrible.

[10:06]Nina Simone.

[10:07]Wild is the wind.

[10:08]Listen, let's not mess around.

[10:10]Let's turn on K-Rob.

[10:11]Let's get right to it.

[10:12]Now, I'm going to say this is going to go down.

[10:13]I know we still did parody songs.

[10:15]What's this portion?

[10:18]What's this portion of the pod?

[10:20]I don't know.

[10:20]I don't recognize this.

[10:22]Is this a new?

[10:22]Is this a new thing?

[10:24]I think from now on, I'm going to do parody's nuts in your mouth.

[10:28]If you don't look out, I can't even think of anything.

[10:31]Got him.

[10:32]Now, listen, this is going to go down as my worst parody song ever.

[10:35]Parody Brown as I hide these eyes and slam it in your face.

[10:38]Parody Brown.

[10:41]Think how cool it would be to have two penises.

[10:45]You know what I mean?

[10:45]If you had two penises along with two balls, just think about it, guys.

[10:48]I'm just going to do one motion with my hands.

[10:50]So two in one and flip it.

[10:52]Yeah, you're ski racing.

[10:53]You're ski racing all the time.

[10:54]You're like, you know what I mean?

[10:56]Like, you're really pulling.

[10:57]I don't like when Rob.

[10:58]It makes the jack off noises, though.

[10:59]It makes me feel very comfortable.

[11:01]What do you do?

[11:02]That's what he was doing until you said it.

[11:03]No one had to know that's what he was doing.

[11:05]Here's the question, Aaron.

[11:06]Would you do them both at the same rhythm?

[11:08]Like, or would you go like double time out?

[11:13]Like, well, it's like, you know, I, when I used to, when we used to go to

[11:18]like cross country style, I used to like to drink the two for ones.

[11:21]Do I get the same?

[11:22]Like, instead of leaving one for the, like, instead of drinking them

[11:25]sequentially, I like to drink them equally.

[11:26]Oh, that's fucked.

[11:28]That is so messed up.

[11:31]If you would drink them, like you drink them down evenly.

[11:34]That's like, do you get two for one beers?

[11:35]The Hercule back in the day, drink them even.

[11:37]That's so bad.

[11:40]R.I.P.

[11:41]Resonance.

[11:42]R.I.P.

[11:43]Hercule.

[11:44]How would you jerk it?

[11:44]If you had two dongs, we going milk in a cow style or are we doing

[11:48]probably how you, you like weirdos try to lift your, uh, when you,

[11:53]when you call that when you're dead lifting, you know, you got like

[11:55]the opposite.

[11:56]So maybe like inverted.

[11:58]That's who you're going to mix grip.

[11:59]One thumb up, thumb down.

[12:00]You're doing the Cisco and Ebert.

[12:02]You're doing the Cisco and Ebert jacket.

[12:03]I'm two dongs.

[12:04]Well, okay.

[12:07]Russell, how about you?

[12:07]You got two dongs.

[12:08]Are you doing the milking the cow or are you doing what we call the

[12:13]inflating the bike tires where you're going like this at the same

[12:15]time?

[12:15]I'm going cross cross arm over arm, Rob, right?

[12:21]Right to left, left, right.

[12:22]Like degeneration.

[12:23]Wow.

[12:24]You're going, you're actually doing two dicks for you.

[12:28]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:29]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:30]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:31]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:32]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:33]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:34]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:35]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:36]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:37]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:38]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:39]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:40]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:41]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:42]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:43]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:44]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:45]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:46]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:47]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:58]I'm going to do the same thing.

[12:59]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:00]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:01]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:02]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:03]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:04]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:05]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:06]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:07]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:08]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:09]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:10]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:11]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:12]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:13]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:14]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:15]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:16]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:17]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:28]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:29]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:30]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:31]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:32]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:33]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:34]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:35]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:36]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:37]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:38]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:39]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:40]I'm going to do the same thing.

[13:41]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:12]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:13]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:14]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:15]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:16]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:17]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:28]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:29]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:30]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:31]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:32]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:33]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:34]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:35]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:36]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:37]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:38]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:39]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:40]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:41]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:42]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:43]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:44]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:45]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:46]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:47]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:58]I'm going to do the same thing.

[35:59]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:00]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:01]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:02]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:03]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:04]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:05]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:06]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:07]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:08]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:09]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:10]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:11]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:12]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:13]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:14]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:15]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:16]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:17]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:28]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:29]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:30]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:31]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:32]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:33]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:34]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:35]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:36]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:37]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:38]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:39]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:40]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:41]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:42]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:43]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:44]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:45]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:46]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:47]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:58]I'm going to do the same thing.

[36:59]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:00]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:01]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:02]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:03]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:04]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:05]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:06]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:07]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:08]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:09]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:10]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:11]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:12]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:13]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:14]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:15]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:16]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:17]I'm going to do the same thing.

[37:28]I realize what we're doing right now, right?

[37:30]I do.

[37:31]We're making a podcast that people are listening to, walking around at lunch at work.

[37:36]How much money are we making off this bad boy?

[37:40]None.

[37:41]Yeah, there you go.

[37:42]It kind of feels like the real podcast is the friends we made along the way.

[37:46]I want bigger headphones that block out more noise.

[37:49]I want headphones that cover my eyes so I don't have to see my family.

[37:52]You know what?

[37:53]I'm going to call Rob out for this.

[37:54]Rob sends us pictures all the time.

[37:56]He's in New York City.

[37:57]He's going to...

[37:58]He's going to do the jujitsu or something.

[37:59]Rob walks around with the big headphones on his head.

[38:02]He does.

[38:03]I could never do that.

[38:04]I've got the Bose little earbuds and they're fantastic.

[38:08]But Rob, you walk around with big headphones all the time.

[38:11]Yeah.

[38:12]I could never do that.

[38:13]Never.

[38:14]New York is loud as fuck all the time.

[38:16]The trains are loud.

[38:17]Everything's loud all the time.

[38:19]The headphones are so nice.

[38:21]It's quiet.

[38:23]I couldn't be without them.

[38:25]Now, you just do it at lunch?

[38:27]Or do you...

[38:28]Do you do it in the morning when you walk into the office or every...

[38:31]Oh, I mean, I...

[38:32]Once I leave my car, I mean, I don't put AirPods in or anything like that to go up to my office.

[38:37]That's another thing.

[38:38]Oh, I would.

[38:39]Seven, eight minute walk.

[38:40]Yeah.

[38:41]All the time.

[38:42]And it's hard to play, but when you got two dicks and only one ball, right?

[38:44]Wait, you have only one ball in the scenario?

[38:46]Are you saying this is a wheelbarrow scenario?

[38:48]I thought that's what you were saying earlier.

[38:49]I looked down and it looks like a wheelbarrow.

[38:50]It was a wheelbarrow.

[38:51]Wow.

[38:52]Is that this episode?

[38:53]That's so different.

[38:54]Let's give apologies to the Nina Simone estate and all the Nina Simone fans out there.

[38:57]I would do Russell's water ski it with both hands going sideways like this.

[39:01]No.

[39:02]No.

[39:03]Like I'm holding on to a water ski rope.

[39:04]You can't...

[39:05]You can't water ski it.

[39:06]Man, that is...

[39:07]Russell, this has been a long one.

[39:08]Yeah.

[39:09]Yeah.

[39:10]So I like to try it out.

[39:11]Russell's, we're going long.

[39:12]Rolling going.

[39:13]Guys, I have three topics.

[39:14]We've done this before.

[39:15]This is trivial pursuit style.

[39:17]Here are the categories.

[39:18]I'll let you guys pick the category that we're going to talk about.

[39:20]All right.

[39:21]You can go food and beverage, travel and leisure, or arts and entertainment.

[39:26]God, Russell.

[39:27]That's so tempting.

[39:28]But we got to go food and beverage, right?

[39:29]We haven't had a good food and beverage in a while.

[39:30]Let's go food and beverage.

[39:31]Food and beverage.

[39:32]Hot take.

[39:33]We went out to eat last night.

[39:34]We went to a restaurant.

[39:35]We got a dessert.

[39:36]And the dessert that we got came in a jar.

[39:37]Hot take.

[39:38]I think any dessert in a jar is the best dessert ever.

[39:39]100%.

[39:40]What do you guys think of that hot take?

[39:41]It was like an apple thing with some whipped cream.

[39:42]This was a Nancy Silverton, who's a famous chef.

[39:43]Butterscotch Boudinot.

[39:44]A butterscotch Boudinot.

[39:45]Any Boudinot.

[39:46]Oh, all right.

[39:47]Any Boudinot.

[39:48]Any Boudinot.

[39:49]This was a Nancy Silverton, who's a famous chef, butterscotch fudino.

[39:53]A butterscotch fudino.

[39:55]Any dessert in a jar, you have to get.

[39:58]Highly recommend any dessert in a jar.

[40:00]Do you get like a special size spoon for it too?

[40:03]Aaron, they give you special.

[40:04]Just the right size?

[40:04]Aaron, they give you the right size spoons.

[40:06]You know damn well they do.

[40:08]That's so great.

[40:08]And I'll say any jar dessert that has butterscotch in it, you know that's a lock.

[40:13]That's a lock to be able to win.

[40:14]Easy.

[40:14]God, I love butterscotch so much.

[40:16]Travel and leisure, arts and entertainment.

[40:18]Aaron, what do you want?

[40:19]You know, I'll say too, Russell, I don't mind drinking out of a jar.

[40:22]You know what I mean?

[40:23]If a restaurant has jar glasses, I think it's fun.

[40:26]I think it's whimsical.

[40:26]I'm in for that.

[40:27]I want to hear arts and entertainment.

[40:30]Arts and entertainment.

[40:31]Today, one of my nieces is very into art.

[40:35]She's 10 going on 11, so probably a little younger than your kids, Rob, Matt.

[40:40]Probably about your oldest age, right?

[40:42]She's really into art.

[40:44]She always wanted to go to the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

[40:47]Nice.

[40:48]My sister and her family came up.

[40:49]I met them at the Minneapolis Institute of Art today.

[40:53]Wow.

[40:54]And so what I was going to ask you guys, and I had a great time with them,

[40:58]what is the perfect amount of time to spend at an art exhibit or a museum?

[41:04]I'm going to say, if you're with kids, we were with kids 10 and 8.

[41:12]Then I would say 10 and 8, 45 minutes.

[41:16]I was going to say an hour.

[41:18]Yeah, I was going one hour.

[41:19]I was going right at one hour.

[41:20]I have the right answer.

[41:21]We were there about an hour and 25, I would say.

[41:24]Oh, nice.

[41:25]I think the right amount of time is one hour and one minute.

[41:29]I think you want to be there long enough to say you were there for more than an hour,

[41:33]because that's respectable.

[41:34]Yep.

[41:34]And we made it through most of the third floor and part of the second floor, so it was great.

[41:39]But I think it's one hour and one minute is the perfect time for an art exhibit or a museum.

[41:44]The one thing I will say, my favorite, we don't need to...

[41:48]I know this is an art podcast.

[41:49]We've talked a lot about art over the years, but...

[41:51]Number one art podcast.

[41:52]Always, yeah.

[41:52]Travel and Leisure.

[41:53]Who's up next?

[41:54]Matt, Travel and Leisure?

[41:55]That's me.

[41:56]Well, yeah, let's go Travel and Leisure.

[41:58]Oh, yeah, I love it.

[41:58]Travel and Leisure.

[41:59]I was down in Rochester the other day, Rob's hometown.

[42:03]Right by Cannon Falls.

[42:04]It's way past...

[42:06]So close.

[42:07]It's way close to where I lived and where Rob lives.

[42:10]I'll just say that.

[42:11]I almost pulled over on the way back to show Rob how far it was.

[42:14]We were down there, and I had to go to a building.

[42:18]I went into a parking ramp, and I'm just going to say this.

[42:22]This is embarrassing for me.

[42:24]I do not like driving in tall parking ramps.

[42:27]I don't like going up steep inclines.

[42:30]I've told you guys before at concerts, I don't like heights.

[42:33]I had to park on the ninth floor of a parking ramp in Rochester.

[42:37]That's okay.

[42:38]And I'm just going to say I about had a medical issue going up that high.

[42:44]It was SGP.

[42:45]Every time I turned...

[42:47]Every time I turned in the parking ramp, I could see a clear wall

[42:51]because they have a lot of clear walls in this parking ramp

[42:53]where you can see outside.

[42:54]You can see outside?

[42:55]You can see outside.

[42:56]So when you pull up into the side, you're pulling up into, in my mind, nothing.

[43:01]Yeah.

[43:02]No, that's bad.

[43:02]There shouldn't be clear walls.

[43:04]That's crazy.

[43:04]I park on the ninth floor of this ramp.

[43:06]Russell, let me ask you.

[43:07]What if it's a straight curly Q-up?

[43:10]Do you mind that as much?

[43:11]Is that worse?

[43:12]Oh, I can't stand the straight curly Q-up.

[43:14]This one was actually very flat.

[43:16]Yeah.

[43:17]And so it was very...

[43:17]It was reasonable, but I was still freaking out.

[43:20]I love the time.

[43:21]I love driving in the ramp, though, when I'm turning and the tires are squealing.

[43:24]Doesn't the tires seem to squeal more?

[43:26]I feel like I'm, like, passing the brakes.

[43:28]Rob, you think eventually you're going to have to run in the wall, right?

[43:30]Like, you can only hold strong in that turn so much, right?

[43:33]Yeah, it's great.

[43:34]But so we get up there, and I'm like...

[43:36]We get out, and it turns out right next to this building,

[43:40]all the elevators are right next to, like, glass doors and windows.

[43:46]So everything...

[43:47]Everything you see when you get up and you're walking to the elevator is glass windows,

[43:51]meaning guys like me that are scared to heights, I had a fucking freakout.

[43:56]I had a meltdown.

[43:56]Oh.

[43:57]Oh, no.

[43:58]Yeah.

[43:59]So we go in, and we get to the elevator, and I...

[44:01]And a Diddy-style freakout.

[44:02]And I'm going to guess also this was...

[44:04]Oh, God, Matt.

[44:04]I'm going to guess this was not a situation where you had the freedom to meltdown.

[44:10]Like, this was a situation where you needed to be a little, like, the solid person, right?

[44:15]Yes.

[44:16]Yes.

[44:16]Yes.

[44:16]Yes.

[44:16]Yes.

[44:16]Yes.

[44:17]I have a point where we're walking into this elevator on the ninth floor,

[44:20]and the only way you can get to the elevator is walking by a window that is floor to ceiling to ground.

[44:29]So you're walking by, and there's nothing there but a window.

[44:32]And so I walk in, and I'm literally grabbing the cement walls.

[44:38]Like, my hands are on the cement walls.

[44:40]I'm having, like, a freakout of all freakouts.

[44:43]Oh, no.

[44:44]The upstairs roommate says, what's going on here?

[44:46]And I go...

[44:46]I don't like heights.

[44:48]I had a moment.

[44:49]I just said...

[44:51]And I go...

[44:52]What's going on here?

[44:52]I go...

[44:53]I go, I don't like heights.

[44:54]And I said, please don't make fun of me right now.

[44:56]I just need to get out of here.

[44:58]That was what happened.

[44:59]That's my travel and leisure.

[45:01]There you go.

[45:02]It's more travel than leisure, but thank you for sharing.

[45:05]The next line she said was not, I've never been this turned on in my entire life.

[45:09]Please don't make fun of me.

[45:12]Oh, this is what I love.

[45:13]But I can't stand, like, this happens sometimes.

[45:16]In downtown Minneapolis, I'll go to a game or something.

[45:18]You have to go up the ramp.

[45:20]Yeah.

[45:20]And it's one of the steep ramps where you're...

[45:22]Like, if you don't drive fast enough, you'll start rolling back, right?

[45:26]You got to go fast.

[45:28]I can't handle it.

[45:30]I've got major problems.

[45:31]These are my problems.

[45:32]Rob, can you handle, like, the ramps?

[45:35]I do hate heights.

[45:37]And then I had to do a field trip with my seventh graders this week where it was a rock climbing place where I had to put on a harness.

[45:42]That's the first thing you do when you get in.

[45:43]No way.

[45:44]So now I'm a big guy in a harness.

[45:46]And then I have to go up on a ropes course up top.

[45:48]And I was just like, I have to just suck it up and do it.

[45:51]I have to not look scared in front of all these kids.

[45:54]It was terrifying.

[45:54]But I get it, Russell, because I'm not a big fan of heights myself.

[45:58]Like, when there's a lot of airplane jiggle, you know, like turbulence, I'll be, like, gripping my seat tight.

[46:05]And Jenny's like, what are you doing?

[46:07]Like, she doesn't say, like, what's going on.

[46:08]She goes, what are you doing?

[46:09]Are you scared?

[46:10]I'm like, oh, yeah, the thought of us dying in a plane crash.

[46:12]Yeah, that does actually scare me a little bit.

[46:14]Airplane jiggle.

[46:15]Yeah.

[46:15]Yeah.

[46:15]When we leave, when we go down.

[46:18]You get a little airplane jiggle.

[46:19]We go down the ninth floor ramp when we're leaving.

[46:23]And I'm driving, like, it says 10 miles an hour.

[46:26]So most people, my guests drive probably 15 going down around that ramp.

[46:30]And I'm going, like, four.

[46:32]I'm barely moving.

[46:33]And there's no reason I should be afraid.

[46:36]Like, there's no chance I'm going to drive through a cement wall and drive off the ledge of this building.

[46:41]I couldn't do it.

[46:42]There's something fucked up with me.

[46:43]I'm really messed up.

[46:45]There's something.

[46:45]There's something wrong.

[46:46]Rob.

[46:48]I get it.

[46:48]How's it going with you?

[46:49]I get it.

[46:50]Wow.

[46:50]Listen.

[46:51]Wow.

[46:51]Hey, hey, thanks for that trivial pursuit adventure.

[46:54]It was great.

[46:55]Food and beverage, travel, leisure, arts, and entertainment.

[46:58]Thank you for bringing the.

[46:59]I'm going to pick.

[46:59]Russell, I'm going to pick sex toys, cushion, triangle bed.

[47:03]Please.

[47:05]Now.

[47:08]Okay.

[47:09]Next week, I will be going over.

[47:10]I will be playing you my standup act.

[47:12]That is my plan for next week's rolling going.

[47:13]Oh, wow.

[47:14]Okay.

[47:15]Okay.

[47:15]Okay.

[47:15]That is.

[47:15]That's where we're going to be this week.

[47:17]I came back to work from South Africa.

[47:19]My boss said, oh, did you go on a safari?

[47:22]I said, yeah.

[47:22]I said, look at this picture I took.

[47:24]He then took my phone.

[47:26]Okay.

[47:27]He then proceeded to say to me, can I scroll through these pictures?

[47:31]No, you can't.

[47:33]I had someone your phone.

[47:35]I can't say no.

[47:37]You got to say no.

[47:38]It's an older guy.

[47:39]I can't.

[47:39]Russell.

[47:39]If he says, oh, excuse me, Rob.

[47:41]Can I scroll through your picture?

[47:42]I go, oh, God, would you give someone your phone?

[47:44]I would never hand it.

[47:45]I wouldn't hand one of you guys my phone.

[47:46]Just hand over your phone?

[47:47]Yeah.

[47:48]If I was going to show you a picture, I would hold my phone up to your face like this.

[47:53]I would never let Aaron hold my phone.

[47:56]He wanted to scroll through all the animals.

[47:58]And all I was thinking is like, I just sent a picture to the guys of how every night at

[48:03]the hotel we had turndown service.

[48:05]And every night they would put my wife's vibrator right in the middle of her side of the bed.

[48:08]And she would have it like hidden somewhere and they would always bring it out and put

[48:13]it up.

[48:13]Like it was like my side had like mints.

[48:15]And her side had this big vibrator.

[48:16]And I'm like, he could get to the vibrator picture.

[48:20]Hello.

[48:21]And I was like, what is going on?

[48:22]But what do you say?

[48:22]You can't say no, Russell.

[48:24]He honestly might not know what it is.

[48:26]Like that thing.

[48:26]Once again, we discussed before the podcast.

[48:28]That did not look like a vibrator.

[48:30]You always want to talk about this.

[48:32]Please.

[48:32]Every episode I have to edit it out.

[48:35]It looks like an irrigation system or something.

[48:38]To me, it's normal size, Darren.

[48:41]Just going to say that.

[48:43]It looks like.

[48:45]It looks like it can water a small farm.

[48:48]That thing is huge.

[48:49]She's got a type.

[48:55]Okay.

[48:56]What do I say?

[48:58]No, don't scroll.

[48:59]Like once he has my phone.

[49:00]So my mistake, Russell, is my mistake.

[49:02]My mistake was handing the phone over.

[49:04]You should never hand your phone.

[49:06]I wouldn't hand my phone to any of you guys.

[49:09]Never.

[49:09]I'd be scrolling.

[49:11]But I think it's just people who are older than you.

[49:15]Right?

[49:15]Like young people know not to take your phone and scroll.

[49:18]Like I would never take any of your guys' phones and scroll.

[49:21]I don't want to see the pictures that bad.

[49:23]But guys, you can't say no, don't scroll.

[49:26]Wait, that's a lie.

[49:27]You absolutely would take one of our phones and scroll.

[49:29]No, I wouldn't.

[49:31]I would feel terrible if I found like a sex picture with you and your wife or something.

[49:34]I would feel awful.

[49:35]That would not be fun for me.

[49:37]I would never scroll through a phone.

[49:38]I really want to know what I do on the ninth floor of a parking lot.

[49:41]Russell's like, oh, I'm so nervous in the car.

[49:45]Let me blow up this pillow.

[49:46]I'm hyperventilating into a pillow.

[49:54]I'm going to say this.

[50:00]I'm going to be nice about it.

[50:01]Rob did his first stand-up act ever within the last week.

[50:07]And he's like, fuck you guys.

[50:09]I'm going to make you wait a whole other week for our listeners.

[50:15]Three weeks before he tells us about how it went.

[50:18]Listen, this pisses me off like no other.

[50:22]Matt says this all the time on text.

[50:27]You should quit your job and you should be a stand-up comedian.

[50:29]And you did your first stand-up show and you're like, I'm going to make you guys wait.

[50:34]What are we talking about?

[50:36]You don't realize this is one of the main host duties.

[50:38]We're at an hour 10 right now of recording.

[50:40]This is bullshit.

[50:41]I've got, if I do the stand-up bit, I want to be able to give that a nice big amount of time.

[50:45]I want to be able to give that a nice big amount of time.

[50:45]I want to be able to give that a nice big amount of time.

[50:45]We're going to do it next week, Russell.

[50:47]This is a decision that I have to make.

[50:48]And you know what?

[50:49]You know, you don't always have to like what you get, but it's what's good for you.

[50:52]Okay.

[50:53]This is not what you like, but it's what's good for you.

[50:55]You got to trust me.

[50:56]Okay.

[50:56]We're going to let this thing breathe.

[50:57]Russell, think of it.

[50:59]We've already got the blow up pillow bit that we're going to do at the end.

[51:01]We've got the two penis bit we're going to be at the end.

[51:03]We're set.

[51:04]We don't need any more running bits.

[51:05]Wait, wait, wait.

[51:06]Is the two penis bit this episode?

[51:08]The two penis bit is this episode.

[51:10]And I've been sitting here literally moving my hands in different ways.

[51:13]Rob, I apologize.

[51:14]We just had like three rolling bullets.

[51:15]I apologize.

[51:16]I messed up.

[51:18]Trust the process.

[51:22]You got to trust the process.

[51:23]We're talking about Nina Simone, Wild as the Wind.

[51:27]Now, this is the least detailed thing I've ever seen on Wikipedia.

[51:31]It literally was like one paragraph for the album.

[51:34]Basically, this album was a bunch of, this was recorded in 66.

[51:39]It's just a bunch of leftover recordings from other sessions from 64 and 65.

[51:44]It's a strange choice for, was this, was this on the original list?

[51:48]It's very, like, she has such a huge catalog.

[51:50]I don't know.

[51:51]It's very interesting that this is what they chose.

[51:53]And I'm not even quarreling with it necessarily, but it's, it's an out there choice.

[51:57]It's the only Nina Simone list, album on this list.

[52:00]I mean, come on.

[52:01]That's crazy.

[52:02]So I got to give you the whole Simone background because there's not that much about the album.

[52:06]I don't really have much else to say, but Simone's story is fascinating.

[52:09]So Simone was born in North Carolina, family eight.

[52:12]She wants to become a piano player.

[52:14]She gets into New York City's Juilliard, goes to Juilliard for classical piano.

[52:20]Rob, snap it.

[52:21]Let's all clap.

[52:22]We might come back to that Juilliard school in about 15 minutes.

[52:25]All right.

[52:27]That sounds.

[52:27]I love it, Aaron.

[52:32]I have multiple kids that I teach go and try out for piano at Juilliard.

[52:34]I mean, she was a virtuoso.

[52:36]Yeah.

[52:37]But, but Aaron, they're like practicing like 12 hours a day on the weekends and like six

[52:41]hours a day when they get home from school.

[52:43]It's crazy.

[52:43]And then.

[52:44]And then the kid who did it, I said, how did it go?

[52:45]And he goes, I got destroyed by some nine-year-old from South Korea.

[52:48]And I was like, yeah, I bet that's how it always goes there.

[52:50]I read it's like five to 7% acceptance rate.

[52:54]Very low.

[52:55]It's insane to know that you've got to do that is crazy.

[52:58]So then after that, she plays in Atlantic City as their job and they say, hey, we're

[53:02]too cheap.

[53:03]We're not going to get you any accompaniments.

[53:04]Now you got to sing with the songs you're playing on the piano.

[53:06]So she starts to sing.

[53:07]She goes on to record 40 albums between 1958 and 1974.

[53:11]Yeah.

[53:12]Just prolific.

[53:12]Martin Luther King.

[53:14]Junior gets killed.

[53:16]Nina Simone is friends with him, says, I don't like where the country is going.

[53:20]She leaves the U.S. in 1970, never to perform in the U.S. again, never to return until 1995

[53:28]to collect music royalties that were owed to her from record companies.

[53:33]25 years.

[53:35]25 years.

[53:36]And she still didn't sing in the U.S. after 1970.

[53:38]So let's get into Nina Simone.

[53:43]And I got to say.

[53:44]I told you guys, this is a very, to me, it's a very serious album.

[53:47]This voice is crazy.

[53:49]I love your love and ways, but you can tell this wasn't an album.

[53:54]Like it's not.

[53:55]The songs all sound very different.

[53:57]Yeah.

[53:58]You can tell they're all recorded in different places.

[54:00]Yeah.

[54:01]Different bands.

[54:02]When you say that, like, was this released originally?

[54:05]Is this the greatest dance or not?

[54:07]No.

[54:08]No.

[54:08]It's like the B sides.

[54:09]Yeah.

[54:10]It was like a odds and ends thing that was released in 66, right?

[54:14]Yeah.

[54:14]They were never released anywhere else, Russell.

[54:16]These were cut from all of her other albums.

[54:17]Because at the time, like, I mean, I don't know when like Silk and Soul would have come out,

[54:21]but this feels like it would have come from like the Silk and Soul sessions.

[54:24]But then other stuff could have come from Pastel Blues or other Nina Simone sings the blues or other stuff she did.

[54:30]What album would you recommend people do, Aaron, if they had to listen to Nina Simone?

[54:35]I have always loved her.

[54:37]So here's what's interesting, Rob, is you said the album feels serious and kind of scary.

[54:42]And I agree with you.

[54:42]Like she has.

[54:44]An imposing figure.

[54:46]But I've always enjoyed her live albums in part because the her banter from the stage is actually very funny and and sort of witty and like has a great banter with the audience.

[54:57]So the thing that I always had on CD was might have just been called Nina Simone in concert.

[55:02]But it starts with I loves you, Porgy.

[55:05]And it has Pirate Jenny on it and Mississippi Goddamn and a couple of others.

[55:08]So I've always loved her live stuff.

[55:10]My absolute favorite album, though, of Nina Simone's is.

[55:14]I think the album is called To Love Somebody.

[55:16]And so it starts with the cover of the Bee Gees song To Love Somebody and has a Leonard Cohen cover on there and a Bob Dylan cover.

[55:24]I've always loved her covers of pop tunes.

[55:26]Yeah, I I could see that where they having that that banter would be fun.

[55:30]I would like it if she got out there and she goes, hey, I want to lose enough weight to cheat on my wife.

[55:33]But you know, I mean, then she's witty.

[55:38]She's very funny.

[55:39]Like an incisive, you know, I just want.

[55:43]Oh, yeah.

[55:43]I just.

[55:44]I just want to lose enough weight.

[55:45]That's all he wants.

[55:46]To be invited to my co-host breakout comedy podcast episode.

[55:51]Listen.

[55:52]Which I guess is happening in three weeks from now instead of tonight.

[55:54]You guys will come when I get a full 10 minutes.

[55:56]I need a 10 minutes to get in my orgy bit.

[55:58]I had to cut a whole orgy bit from it.

[55:59]We'll get into it.

[56:00]But but like that sounded kind of like a doo-wop song, like with a band and everything.

[56:05]And then we have four women, which is this very serious civil rights.

[56:09]I mean, Nina Simone is a famous civil rights activist.

[56:12]This is about four women.

[56:14]Two women who are African-American stereotypes.

[56:16]And this song was actually banned on a New York jazz radio station due to concern over the lyrics.

[56:23]Cowards.

[56:24]Eric, can I ask, how would you describe her voice?

[56:28]Yeah, she has.

[56:31]I wouldn't describe it as beautiful necessarily, but I would describe it as commanding.

[56:37]And I would describe it as versatile and expressive.

[56:44]What more can I say?

[56:47]I mean, I just feel like, I mean, how old is she here?

[56:51]She's not old, but she sounds like somebody who's seen the whole world in 25 or something.

[56:55]I was disappointed with it.

[56:57]Born in 33.

[56:58]Oh, wow.

[56:59]So she's 30, 32, 34.

[57:01]Pretty sick.

[57:03]But see, now this is like almost like a show tune, right?

[57:07]Like it totally switches.

[57:08]But listen to this.

[57:14]Some fun builds in this album.

[57:15]Yeah, that's really great.

[57:18]That's so great.

[57:20]Yeah, these first three songs very clearly from different recording sessions.

[57:24]Gosh.

[57:25]Now, the next song, Lilac Wine.

[57:27]Of course, we remember hearing this on the Jeff Buckley album.

[57:30]Okay, it's probably the song we remember the best off that album.

[57:32]He basically does a note for note cover of hers, right?

[57:37]Like he clearly listened to hers over and over.

[57:40]This is a song about getting intoxicated and how great it is.

[57:44]Which, once again, I will be doing tomorrow because it is handing out candy day.

[57:47]Guys, is there anything better than when you know you're going to go drink the next day

[57:52]and you've got all your stuff done, you can go to bed early?

[57:54]It's a good feeling, right?

[57:56]I'm not going to get blindsided and drink too much.

[57:59]The only thing better, Rob, is when you have a book that pairs Nina Simone with a cocktail.

[58:05]Wow.

[58:06]You're going to drink.

[58:06]Wow.

[58:07]That's crazy.

[58:07]I'm drinking a Gin Ricky, which they suggest on this.

[58:11]Have you guys ever had a Gin Ricky before, Rob?

[58:14]You're a bartender.

[58:14]What's in a Gin Ricky?

[58:15]Wow.

[58:16]It's stolen a lot of bases.

[58:17]Oh, that's Gin Ricky Henderson.

[58:21]That's different.

[58:21]Well, I would tell you guys what's in it, but I left my book upstairs and I was rushing.

[58:28]So I think there's gin and some lime and you're supposed to do club soda with it.

[58:33]But we're out of club soda.

[58:36]So instead, I stole this can of green bubbly.

[58:39]Do you guys do bubblers?

[58:41]That's the same.

[58:41]There you go.

[58:42]Yeah, that's it.

[58:44]So I'm drinking a Gin Ricky tonight in honor of Nina Simone.

[58:46]How do you think of that?

[58:47]Love it.

[58:48]It definitely feels like one of those old sailor drinks, right?

[58:50]It was like, oh, we're trying to get scurvy.

[58:52]So we'll put some gin with the limes and then it keeps longer.

[58:55]Oh, look at that.

[58:56]Russell's got a nice glass.

[58:58]Coop.

[59:00]I always think of a Gin Ricky as a very old person's drink, like a slow gin fizz or something.

[59:04]Now, let me ask you guys this.

[59:08]Wait, wait.

[59:09]I was on Joy Division.

[59:10]I was like, this is totally wrong.

[59:11]I.

[59:13]When I hand out.

[59:14]Candy.

[59:14]I'm going to doing.

[59:15]I'm doing a couple of bits.

[59:16]Okay.

[59:17]So what do you think of this bit?

[59:18]The bit number one, I reach into the kid's bag and take one of their candy pieces and

[59:22]say, oh, thanks so much.

[59:23]How old are the kids?

[59:25]They are like, you know, elementary school.

[59:27]That's who I'm doing the bits with.

[59:30]And reaching into reaching into like a six year old's bag.

[59:33]It's like a bit much.

[59:34]So funny.

[59:35]The look they give me when I say, oh, thank you so much.

[59:37]And I put it.

[59:38]Oh, it's so good.

[59:38]And the other bit I do is I say to the kids, you can eat as much candy today as you want.

[59:43]Your parents can't tell.

[59:44]Tell you what to do.

[59:44]I have had parents get pretty mad at me for saying that.

[59:47]And it makes me laugh every single time.

[59:49]Because again, I am hammered.

[59:51]Nicole and I have been drinking.

[59:53]We're handing out candy.

[59:54]You know what?

[59:54]We are gone.

[59:55]Rob jokes about him being hammered.

[59:58]He is hammered at this event.

[60:00]Because I believe a year or two ago, Rob was going to beat me on Halloween and he was too

[60:05]drunk to beat me.

[60:06]I was in New York City.

[60:08]I was in like Manhattan, like in a nice hotel.

[60:12]We're going to find a time to like watch a.

[60:14]Football game and he was too drunk to beat me.

[60:16]You know what, Rob?

[60:17]I had respect for it.

[60:19]He just finally at one point, I think he texted me and said, like, I'm super drunk.

[60:22]I'm not going to be able to beat you.

[60:23]And I was like.

[60:23]And so what are you drinking?

[60:24]What's your tipple on the Halloween handout?

[60:27]We bring a bottle.

[60:29]We bring.

[60:29]First of all, we bring a nice big mug of ice and then we just have a bottle of whiskey

[60:35]and we add very little amounts of Diet Coke to it and then just drink that while we hand

[60:39]out.

[60:40]Who's we?

[60:41]We.

[60:41]Nicole.

[60:42]There's no way.

[60:43]There's no way.

[60:43]Your wife drinks this.

[60:45]No, but she was blasted two years ago.

[60:47]That was.

[60:48]What was she drinking?

[60:49]Oh, I.

[60:50]She's not drinking whiskey, Diet Coke.

[60:51]There's no way.

[60:52]She's drinking whiskey.

[60:53]Yeah.

[60:53]Whiskey is her drink.

[60:54]No fucking way.

[60:55]Yeah.

[60:55]That's what she drinks.

[60:56]Whiskey and Diet Coke.

[60:57]She'll drink whiskey.

[60:58]It's whiskey.

[60:58]She'll drink it just straight on the rocks.

[61:00]That's what she orders.

[61:01]Monster.

[61:02]That's what she orders at the bar.

[61:04]I know.

[61:05]That's all I ask.

[61:07]Listen to the soft voice.

[61:13]Oh, baby.

[61:15]I'm not asking for what I know.

[61:21]Can't she play the piano on this one, Aaron?

[61:23]I think she plays piano on almost all of the songs.

[61:27]Yeah.

[61:27]I mean, she that was her main instrument and any videos you see of her, she's at the piano.

[61:32]So I would imagine it's almost always her.

[61:34]But I didn't look up to see for sure.

[61:36]Break down and let it all out.

[61:37]I mean, this voice.

[61:38]But this voice is great.

[61:43]I was not expecting this.

[61:46]Yeah.

[61:46]Yeah.

[61:47]And Aaron knows Nina Simone way more than I do.

[61:50]I was almost expecting a Aretha, a Etta James, an Adele.

[62:00]I was expecting like a huge voice.

[62:03]Does that make sense, Aaron?

[62:05]Yeah.

[62:06]Yeah.

[62:06]I wasn't expecting this.

[62:07]It threw me for a loop, admittedly.

[62:09]You know what?

[62:10]This is almost like Amy.

[62:13]What's her name?

[62:14]Amy Winehouse, right?

[62:15]Where it's like a singer with a very distinct voice.

[62:17]Like it's a very.

[62:19]Right.

[62:20]I'm sure Winehouse listened to this.

[62:22]And like that particular song, like, yeah, I think she went through.

[62:26]I mean, she's called the High Priestess of Soul.

[62:28]So she definitely, you know, is a soulful singer and recorded some soul albums.

[62:33]I think the things that lean more toward jazz are the ones that I tend to gravitate to.

[62:38]But the one we just heard, like, was certainly the kind of thing that was like in conversation

[62:42]with Motown.

[62:43]And Stax, right?

[62:44]It fits in that lane, but she did many other things, too.

[62:47]And I have Nina Simone songs in my head.

[62:49]And when I was like, oh, they'll be on this album, because I was thinking about parody

[62:52]songs.

[62:52]And then, like, none of those songs are on this album.

[62:55]It's such a strange choice.

[62:57]Why keep on breaking my heart?

[62:58]It is a little off-putting that they were recorded in different places.

[63:08]You can just tell, like, every one sounds different.

[63:11]It would be really interesting if she sat down.

[63:13]in a place and just hammered these out with the same musicians and the same producer.

[63:18]Yeah, I think she has other studio albums.

[63:20]You mentioned Juilliard School.

[63:22]And so, like, Juilliard, is that, like, Aaron or Rob, maybe you guys can talk about it better.

[63:29]That's, like, the theater school.

[63:31]That's the music school.

[63:31]That is the school for performing arts.

[63:34]Is that right?

[63:34]Dance.

[63:35]Yeah.

[63:35]So I thought we could do a quick list of the greatest artists ever that went to Juilliard

[63:41]School.

[63:41]Wow.

[63:41]Oh, wow.

[63:42]Let's hear it.

[63:43]The greatest artists that went to Juilliard?

[63:45]Russell, I cannot wait to hear that list.

[63:46]But we're not doing actors.

[63:47]There's all sorts of amazing actors and actresses.

[63:50]There's not as many, like, pop stars or musicians that you would think that are musicians we

[63:57]would know.

[63:57]I'm excited to learn here.

[63:59]Wow.

[63:59]I'm going to be surprised.

[64:01]The first one is, in the fall of 1944, Miles Davis took a scholarship to go to the Juilliard

[64:07]School.

[64:08]So we're going to listen to Miles Davis for a little bit.

[64:13]I'm always happy to listen to Miles.

[64:14]This is what got him into New York, and then he started getting into the New York scene.

[64:18]He started playing with Charlie Parker, I think it is, Aaron, in 1945.

[64:22]But so, I don't know that he graduated, but he went to Juilliard for a while.

[64:27]That's really what got him to New York and kind of connected with him, with a lot of

[64:31]people there.

[64:31]Wow.

[64:32]I think you're right.

[64:33]I don't think he was there very long.

[64:35]Turned pro.

[64:36]Actually, when I was reading about a lot of these artists that did go there, that's what

[64:41]happened with a lot of them.

[64:42]They would go there.

[64:43]They'd meet some people, and then they would take their career a different way.

[64:46]And as we all know, if peeing your pants is cool, consider me, Miles Davis.

[64:53]That's not a joke, by the way.

[64:55]Short season over, finally.

[64:56]Don't have to worry about peeing my pants so much.

[64:59]I piss my peeing pants, right?

[65:01]Next up on the list is John Williams, the composer that did all the Star Wars, Jurassic

[65:07]Park, all that stuff.

[65:09]Yes.

[65:10]Juilliard school guy.

[65:11]Did you guys know that?

[65:12]No.

[65:12]I didn't know that.

[65:13]So he's sitting at Juilliard, and they're like, okay, what would you do if there's like

[65:18]a huge, awesome guy in a black cape walking through a space station?

[65:22]He's like, yes, finally, I got a good assignment.

[65:25]I'm curious what you guys would have picked.

[65:27]I could have picked E.T., Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones.

[65:31]What would you guys have picked for your John Williams song?

[65:33]I'm going off the board.

[65:35]I'm going off the board, Russell.

[65:36]I'm going Jaws.

[65:37]Didn't he do Jaws?

[65:38]He did do Jaws.

[65:39]You're right.

[65:39]I think you got to do Jaws.

[65:41]I'd go Indiana Jones.

[65:42]Yeah, I'd go Indiana Jones.

[65:43]It's tough for me, Indiana Jones.

[65:46]I was thinking Superman, but Jurassic Park, probably.

[65:49]Jurassic Park for me, because I played in those old bands, you know?

[65:52]Yep.

[65:52]That one rings out for me.

[65:55]I would do E.T., because that's how my doctor asked to describe my feces when he's doing

[65:59]a checkup on me.

[65:59]He's like, which E.T. does your feces look like right now?

[66:02]Is it the scared E.T. with the long neck?

[66:04]Okay.

[66:05]Is it the gray E.T. who's dying at the end?

[66:07]Okay.

[66:08]Or is it normal E.T. with a wig and hat on?

[66:12]What?

[66:13]Matt, I'm confused.

[66:16]Well, I don't know, but there are some Reese's Pieces in it, so that's...

[66:20]Okay.

[66:25]Next up on the list is one of my favorite jazz pianists that we talked about a few weeks

[66:32]ago.

[66:32]Oh, God.

[66:32]It's Chick Corea.

[66:34]Chick Corea went to Juilliard.

[66:35]Write that down, Rob, before you forget.

[66:37]Write it down.

[66:38]Oh.

[66:42]Oh.

[66:42]Oh.

[66:43]1960, he made it into Juilliard, but he didn't stay there long here.

[66:46]He didn't make it very long.

[66:48]Okay.

[66:49]He was there, and then he started becoming a jazz side man for Mongo Santamaria, Stan

[66:55]Goetz, and Miles Davis.

[66:56]He played with Miles on Bitches Brew, right?

[66:58]There you go.

[66:58]Oh, man.

[67:00]This is fun.

[67:02]Last artist on the list is actually an actor that you guys may know.

[67:07]The actor is Tim Blake Nelson, but he actually sang in the movie...

[67:12]Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?

[67:13]Peter Milmar.

[67:14]Yes.

[67:17]He went to Juilliard.

[67:19]I did not know.

[67:20]And actually, when you think about Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?, you think about, like, George

[67:25]Clooney, did George Clooney really sing, or is he just removing political candidates?

[67:29]It turns out Clooney didn't sing, but Tim Blake Nelson sang on that song.

[67:37]He's actually singing.

[67:38]He was the only one, the only actor that actually sang in that, and he is...

[67:42]He's in the jailhouse now.

[67:43]Yes.

[67:44]Oh, that's a great scene, too.

[67:46]So those are the greatest artists ever that went to Juilliard.

[67:50]Wow.

[67:50]Wow.

[67:50]That's wonderful, Russell.

[67:51]Great list.

[67:53]But actually, it's crazy.

[67:56]Nina Simone, I think she went there for a while to, like, pay her bills, and she was, like,

[68:01]playing accompaniment.

[68:02]She was there for a while, and she applied to go to some Philadelphia school, and she

[68:06]didn't get in.

[68:07]Yeah.

[68:08]Can you imagine, like, being the school that didn't let her into your music school?

[68:12]That's like St. Olaf not letting Aaron into the Oly Choir.

[68:15]That's crazy.

[68:16]He's on an award-winning podcast.

[68:18]She does famously point to that as a place that started her civil rights activism, because

[68:23]she's like, oh, I know why they're not letting me into some school in Philadelphia, for sure.

[68:28]Wild is the Wind.

[68:29]This was originally a Johnny Mathis song.

[68:32]And his version was nominated for Best Song Academy Award.

[68:36]But we have heard this song once before.

[68:40]Do you guys remember what album we heard this song on?

[68:42]I mean, Cat Stevens has a song like this, but I don't know that it's on that album.

[68:46]This was on an album that I forgot was only six songs long.

[68:50]David Bowie, Station to Station.

[68:55]This is the closer for this album.

[68:57]And now that I've heard the original, David's version is brilliant.

[69:04]Bowie's version.

[69:05]We're not that good of friends.

[69:06]Sounds good.

[69:10]Hey, Matt, can I ask you?

[69:11]You sent us a message the other day where Willie Nelson was covering one of Beck's songs,

[69:15]Lost Cause.

[69:16]Is that right?

[69:17]Yeah.

[69:18]Album comes out November 1st.

[69:20]I think it's kind of that.

[69:20]It seems like it's a, I don't know if he's covering a bunch of songs or that was just

[69:25]the one cover on this, on the album.

[69:28]I believe the album is called Last Leaf on the Tree.

[69:30]He's covering Lost Cause by Beck Hansen on song three on that album.

[69:36]I don't know if he's released it, but you sent a cool Instagram clip of it.

[69:39]You guys know who he's covering on?

[69:41]On song four?

[69:42]Is it?

[69:45]It's Nina Simone.

[69:46]He's covering the song Come Ye by Nina Simone.

[69:50]Wow.

[69:51]So Matt, you sent this cool link of Willie Nelson doing Beck.

[69:56]It turns out he's also doing Nina Simone.

[69:58]So when it comes to covering Nina and Beck, who did it better?

[70:03]Willie Nelson did it better.

[70:05]Willie Nelson still out there doing it, man.

[70:08]Jeez.

[70:08]Golly.

[70:09]Can you imagine?

[70:10]It makes me not want to stop.

[70:11]Smoking weed.

[70:12]All right.

[70:13]Black is the color.

[70:14]He stopped smoking weed.

[70:15]What?

[70:16]He stopped smoking weed.

[70:18]No, you're thinking of Snoop Dogg.

[70:20]No, he still consumes weed, but he stopped smoking it.

[70:22]What does consume mean?

[70:23]Yeah.

[70:24]Well, he uses it in other ways.

[70:26]Like maybe consume is the right, maybe consume is the wrong verb.

[70:29]Do you think Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg eat like gummy bears like we do in Vegas?

[70:35]Or do they have like some other contraption?

[70:37]They probably got some other stuff, right?

[70:38]Yeah.

[70:38]Like, I don't know.

[70:39]Gummies are such a nice delivery.

[70:41]You can't really improve upon it, can you?

[70:43]Do you think they ever eat a butt of Rob's dirty, lint-filled pockets?

[70:48]I'm going to guess no.

[70:49]Oh, wow.

[70:49]Yes, that's not the case.

[70:51]Black is the color of my true love's eyes.

[70:53]This is Simone on piano.

[70:54]She recorded the songs a few times.

[70:58]I'm sorry.

[70:59]My true love's hair.

[71:00]Screwed that up.

[71:01]Because I was going to say, do you guys remember when you were younger?

[71:03]I was obsessed with, I'm going to marry somebody with blonde hair.

[71:06]Like that was my, I was like, only women who are blonde hair are attractive to me.

[71:11]Did you guys have that?

[71:11]Did you guys have any hair color you were really attracted to?

[71:13]No.

[71:17]Okay.

[71:19]I did.

[71:20]I got to admit, now that I think about it, there's some hot brunettes too.

[71:22]What hair color am I out on?

[71:29]Like, are you a red-haired lady?

[71:31]Is your out?

[71:32]I don't want to say this, Russell.

[71:34]I don't want to say this in front of you.

[71:35]You say what you need to say.

[71:37]It's white hair.

[71:37]It's white hair.

[71:39]Women with white hair.

[71:41]It's white hair I was out on.

[71:42]Storm.

[71:43]That was it.

[71:47]The guy in Mad Men.

[71:48]What?

[71:50]The guy in Mad Men.

[71:51]Yeah, exactly.

[71:53]The guy in Mad Men.

[71:54]They all had gray hair.

[71:55]If I should lose you, I was listening to this album kind of in the background,

[71:58]and I had to find this part because it made my jaw drop when I heard it.

[72:01]Listen to this voice here.

[72:03]And living.

[72:11]There's a seam in there.

[72:13]I mean, not many people could sing this and make it, you have to listen to it.

[72:19]She really draws you in, yeah.

[72:21]It's crazy.

[72:21]And she's vulnerable.

[72:22]Like, she really does this in a way where you're just on the edge of.

[72:26]Yeah.

[72:27]I mean, a true, like, talent.

[72:31]Like, it's crazy.

[72:32]Either way I lose.

[72:34]This is such a weird ending song for this album.

[72:39]It's just a bizarre.

[72:40]It's a whole.

[72:41]This album is a bizarre choice.

[72:43]It's so strange to me.

[72:44]Well, that's Nina Simone.

[72:47]Hey, now, Aaron, did you ever hear.

[72:49]Let me ask you a question.

[72:50]Did you ever hear about Nina's two sisters?

[72:54]I have not.

[72:56]And their distant cousin, the Mayflower.

[73:01]Trying to think of other famous ships.

[73:09]Can I only think of.

[73:11]Four famous ships.

[73:12]USS Enterprise.

[73:13]I mean, that's Star Trek.

[73:15]That's not even a real ship.

[73:16]This is our ship now.

[73:17]What was that?

[73:18]Didn't you play basketball with the one guy?

[73:19]Oh, yeah.

[73:20]Yeah, but Captain Phillips.

[73:21]But he wasn't on the USS Captain Phillips.

[73:23]I don't know what his ship was named.

[73:25]What's another famous ship?

[73:26]The Titanic.

[73:28]Oh, my God, Aaron.

[73:29]You nailed it.

[73:30]Good job.

[73:30]I was going to say Red October.

[73:31]All right, listen.

[73:33]We don't care about the song.

[73:34]We care about the list.

[73:35]The Edmund Fitzgerald.

[73:37]Oh, my God.

[73:38]Man, that's so good.

[73:39]Rob.

[73:41]You should play that whole, like, 18-minute song

[73:43]and then do a funny joke at the end of it.

[73:45]Put that as the last thing.

[73:48]We cannot play the whole Edmund Fitzgerald.

[73:50]We'll get a copyright strike so fast.

[73:52]No, you can't.

[73:53]I don't know if I said this before.

[73:54]Some people in this house thought the barking dogs for eight minutes

[73:59]before the joke was very funny.

[74:00]They did not, did not think the airplane beeping noise

[74:06]for eight minutes before the final joke was similarly funny.

[74:09]It makes.

[74:10]What?

[74:11]It doesn't make sense.

[74:12]It's the same bit.

[74:13]Did we do that?

[74:13]We did the same bit twice?

[74:15]Of course, Aaron.

[74:15]We did, Aaron.

[74:16]I never listened to that.

[74:17]We're not one to do that.

[74:18]One of them were better than the other in this house.

[74:20]I definitely won't put the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

[74:23]at the end of this song.

[74:24]Okay, but you know what?

[74:25]The winds of November may come early.

[74:26]We'll see.

[74:27]You know what?

[74:28]Russell, you're on a streak of great ideas.

[74:31]Ending a comedy podcast with the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

[74:35]is probably one of the greatest things I've ever heard in my entire life.

[74:38]If we get copyright strike for that, I'm down.

[74:41]I could go under feeling proud of what we've done.

[74:49]It's been good to know you.

[74:51]We're at album 212.

[74:53]If this belongs at 212, that would be a rolling well-toned.

[74:57]Okay, it's right here.

[74:58]Great toned.

[74:59]We love it.

[75:00]Is this, listen, this is a weird album.

[75:02]It's all chopped up.

[75:02]It's all over the place.

[75:03]Should it be lower on the list?

[75:05]That means that this is a rolling groan.

[75:07]We did not care for it.

[75:09]Or should it have been higher on the list?

[75:11]And we think this got rolling boned.

[75:14]This is my sneaky beat of the week.

[75:16]Okay.

[75:17]Gorgeous.

[75:17]Did it get rolling boned?

[75:22]It should be higher up on the list.

[75:23]What do we think?

[75:25]I forget how weird that one is every time.

[75:27]Aaron, what do you think?

[75:28]Rolling well-toned, rolling boned, rolling groaned.

[75:30]Nina Simone, wild as the wind.

[75:32]I think I know what they did here.

[75:35]Rather than choosing a best hits or greatest hits or a compilation,

[75:39]they chose this album.

[75:41]Which is something of a compilation.

[75:43]But it does include sort of every genre that Nina touched in her life.

[75:49]So I get what they did.

[75:50]And they were able to avoid using the greatest hits.

[75:54]I think there are other, I mean, I'm not an expert.

[75:57]I do listen to Nina Simone a lot.

[75:59]But her catalog is so vast.

[76:01]And she's such a mysterious figure that it's hard to, you know,

[76:05]choose one thing for her.

[76:07]I think it's an odd choice.

[76:09]But I think she's a very important figure.

[76:11]She's an important artist.

[76:11]So I think there's some great stuff on here.

[76:13]I'm going to give it a rolling well-toned.

[76:15]Matt, what do you think?

[76:16]Rolling well-toned, rolling boned, rolling groaned.

[76:18]Wild thing is the wind.

[76:21]I have tried to get into Nina Simone.

[76:24]You know, it feels like all the cool kids listen to Nina Simone.

[76:29]Everybody knows Nina Simone if you understand music and all this stuff.

[76:33]And I certainly hear the voice.

[76:36]And I certainly can see why the music is so important.

[76:39]It's just not for me.

[76:40]And so, you know, I don't know.

[76:41]You know, I think it's way too serious.

[76:42]The long, very, maybe dramatic.

[76:46]I don't know.

[76:47]It's hard for me to listen to, I think, sometimes.

[76:50]Because it's probably so well done.

[76:52]You know, it elicits that emotion or whatever.

[76:56]But it's hard for me to listen to.

[76:57]So I think I'm with Rosie where I understand the place in history more than anything.

[77:03]And there are some good songs on here, for sure.

[77:05]So I'm going to give it a rolling well-toned as well.

[77:07]Russell, what do you think?

[77:09]Rolling well-toned, rolling boned, rolling groaned?

[77:11]Wild as the wind.

[77:12]Or it could be wild as the wind.

[77:14]We're not sure, actually.

[77:15]Nobody's ever heard it said out loud.

[77:17]Or wheeled as the wind?

[77:19]Yeah, wheeled as the wind.

[77:20]I'll piggyback off Aaron and Matt a little bit.

[77:23]I was captivated, interested, confused.

[77:27]I thought it was strange.

[77:28]And I said this earlier.

[77:31]In my mind, I thought this was going to be this big, loud voice.

[77:35]Like this voice that you just couldn't contain.

[77:38]Like Aretha or Etta James.

[77:41]Or Adele.

[77:41]And that's not what it was.

[77:43]It was so different and strange.

[77:45]And I'm a bit confused by it.

[77:46]This, to me, seems like a little bit of a...

[77:49]It's not Greatest Hits, Aaron.

[77:50]You said this earlier.

[77:51]But it's not an album either, is it?

[77:54]I'm a little confused by it.

[77:57]So I'm going to say it's rolling well-toned.

[78:00]I think she's got to be on here.

[78:01]I think she's too important not to be.

[78:03]And also, you guys know, her first hit ever was from 1959.

[78:08]It was a rendition of the song,

[78:10]I Love You Poor Girl.

[78:11]by George Gershwin.

[78:12]And as Aaron said, this is very Gershwin-y.

[78:15]Right, Aaron?

[78:15]Gershwin-y.

[78:16]Yes.

[78:16]Yeah, this is Gershwin-y stuff in here.

[78:18]Yeah.

[78:18]So I'm going to say rolling well-toned.

[78:20]I was expecting something different.

[78:22]This was one of the ones on the list where I put it on in the car

[78:27]and I was expecting something totally different than what I got.

[78:30]But it's amazing.

[78:31]She's so unique and so different.

[78:33]I'm going to say rolling well-toned.

[78:35]Unfortunately, you guys are incorrect.

[78:38]Shouldn't be.

[78:40]This gets it.

[78:40]Instead of rolling emo-shown.

[78:42]Emo-shown.

[78:43]Yeah, in a voice.

[78:44]You can feel all the songs all the way down to your feet

[78:46]when you're listening to it.

[78:47]Anybody else, if we had almost any other singer we've had on this list,

[78:50]with a few exceptions, sing these songs,

[78:52]it would sound like a cheesy lounge act for almost all of them.

[78:55]But with her, you're just like,

[78:57]holy shit, this is serious business.

[78:59]I got to find out what the color of this person's hair is.

[79:01]Now, next up.

[79:03]Okay.

[79:05]We have an album that I got to admit,

[79:07]we're just doing it for Aaron's wife.

[79:10]Because it's a Fiona Apple.

[79:12]The eye of this wheel is wiser than the drive of this screw,

[79:15]and the whipping cords will serve you more than the ropes ever do.

[79:18]We can replace you next week, Gary.

[79:19]When you want to hear about the greatest albums of all time.

[79:22]Hey, Russell, I got a joke.

[79:23]I got a joke here.

[79:24]But you're just too lazy to look it up online.

[79:27]It's a guaranteed banger.

[79:28]We'll do our Edwin Fitzgerald bit.

[79:32]We'll see what the roommate thinks of that.

[79:35]I already got a plan in my head.

[79:38]I know exactly what I'm going to do.

[79:40]It's going to blow your mind.

[79:41]Matt, you'll have to listen.

[79:42]Did you know that, you know what's weird, Aaron?

[79:45]Is you know what Fiona Apple was going to call this next album?

[79:48]Sex toys, adult toys.

[79:51]I got to let my kid go to bed here.

[79:54]Just wait until he walks out again.

[79:55]Sex toys, adult toys, pillow position, cushion, triangle, inflatable ramp,

[79:59]furniture, couple toys, positioning for deeper positions,

[80:01]support pillow men, women for couples.

[80:03]It's almost as poetic.

[80:06]It's crazy.

[80:07]That has to be like, that's only $17.96.

[80:09]That's a lot.

[80:10]That's a lot of words for what the product is for $17.

[80:13]I feel like a sex toy, adult swing, pillow position, cushion, triangle, inflatable ramp,

[80:18]furniture position, couple's toy, positioning for deeper position, support pillow men,

[80:21]women's couples for couples.

[80:22]It's not something you skimp on in my book.

[80:25]You're going to spend at least $96 for that.

[80:28]You know what?

[80:29]Let's mail one to Vegas and just see what happens.

[80:32]I'll tell you what, Russell.

[80:35]You know how if I had two dicks, what it would be like?

[80:38]What's that?

[80:40]I'd be doing the Pee Wee Herman back and forth just like Pee Wee Herman was doing in the movie theater.

[80:46]No, no, no.

[80:48]I'd be doing it up and down.

[80:50]It would look like I'm on that triathlon bike.

[80:53]You know this?

[80:58]Fun song to end on.

[80:59]Just wait.

[81:01]Yeah.

[81:01]Is this on the list?

[81:02]The tequilas, the champs.

[81:04]I think they're at 501.

[81:05]Oh, just missed it.

[81:10]We'll be right back.

[81:40]Lake, it is said, never gives up her dead

[81:44]When the skies of November turn gloomy

[81:47]A load of iron ore, more than 26,000 tons more

[81:54]Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty

[81:57]That's good ship and crew was a bone to be chewed

[82:03]When the gales of November came early

[82:10]It's the pride of American sign

[82:13]Coming back from some mill in Wisconsin

[82:16]As the big freighters go

[82:19]It was bigger than most
