Episode 208

Lil Wayne: Tha Carter III (2008)

Beck Did It Better Podcast 2008
About this episodeWe become the best Lil Wayne podcast when we talk about Lil Wayne and Tha Carter III. No not that little wayne. Not that one either. Maybe one drafted by the Twolves comes up twice.  We have a special guest with Little Rosie in the garage, Aaron is getting fruit in the mail now,  and find out what Aaron was like growing up. Rob talks about his balls.  Then we talk 2000s rap, Bangladesh, and where Lil Wayne sits in the pantheon of rap.  and yes, we have some dogs barking for the dumbshit listeners.  Next week go back to the roots of rap with Run DMC Raising Hell.

[0:00]In 2020, four friends decided to listen to every one of the greatest 500 albums is decided by Rolling Stone. I guess this isn't funny unless you just listened to the last. And I got to say this, if you just listened to the last episode and then just rolled right into this one, you're sick. You're sick. I'm sorry for what's going on in your life. I can't take it. I really can't take it. By Rolling Stone Magazine, this resulted in a text chain that celebrated the music, excoriated the order, and led us to making this podcast. We are far from experts. We promise to do almost no research. How many viewers did that dog barking video have on YouTube? How many views? Let's see. The number of views it has. Of course, I can look right now. Oh, my God. It's bad. 1.3 million. No. It's got 6,800 likes. Russell, read the title of this video to everybody. Dog barking for 12 hours dash high quality sounds. So let's go. Now, there's a spike when it's played here. It's six hours in. Let's see what this sounds like. I see why people like this word. And don't ask me how I know to go look at spikes in the videos. For the best.

[1:00]For the best parts. Okay. That's neither here nor there. Oh, no. Hold on. Can we scroll down? First comment. Go back, please. Okay. It says. Oh, God. First comment says, I'm loving the pettiness of the comment section. I thought I was the only one. I'm seriously considering playing this for my inconsiderate neighbors when I leave my House for hours. That is the exact thing that happened. That's why we talked about the dogs to begin with. That's exactly what we did. That's true. I've been listening to her dog bark for almost a year. It's time to start getting my stay, getting my revenge. So a little typo. I better point that out. This was like when Aaron and my is one of our roommates from college used to just play Offspring in college. And he would shut his door and lock it and go to class. Shut his door and leave. Blast an offspring the whole day. We had a guy who did that. I feel like we had a guy who did that with the Baja men. And I can't remember what song they did it to. We are far from experts. We promise to do almost no research.

[2:00]All opinions are our own, unless you disagree. There are opinions. There are our own, unless you disagree. Please sit back and enjoy Beck did it better. We are all the way up to number 208 and we have somebody. And now at 208, we have somebody that might say party on Garth. It's little Wayne. I'm on. It's little Wade with the Carter three. I can't keep doing that voice. If she was a president, she'd be Abraham Lincoln. Swing. Swing. Swing. Now, listen, I don't have four guys. I'm a leprechaun. I'm a leprechaun. No, no, I'm a leprechaun. No. If you're going to spew, try it again. Do it right. It's, it's not a little, it's a little winger. And Rob would just put them in high voice. Okay. I'll speed it off. I'll put that in a high voice. Yeah. Imagine when he listens back at 1.7 speed, then it's really going to fuck him up. Don't say shit. Something like that.

[3:00]Rob, I don't own a gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. A gun rack. What am I going to do with a gun rack? Boy, governor, that's another goal for me. That was little Wayne Rooney. That's a little bit different. That's a different little Wayne. Okay. Hey, Rob. Thinking of other Waynes. Thinking of other Waynes. You should just throw me the ball more than Keyshawn every time. That was little Wayne. Corbett. Oh, no. Oh, no. Little Wayne. Hit the music, Rob. We're out of here. Terrible. What about the time they did a blaxploitation film starring the Waynes brothers? It was called Little Waynes. Oh. Little Waynes. Oh, what's that one where they put the guy on the baby's body? Oh, my God. The height of humor. Little man. I think that was a little man. Now, wait a minute. Now we're on to something. You're right. Little man. Little Wayne. We better take a break and watch that movie. I think that movie during the soundtrack. I believe there was a song called Blue and Black by Kenny Little Wayne Shepard Band.

[4:00]Oh, that is such a stretch. Blue on black, tears on a river. Isn't that right? Kenny Little Wayne Shepard. I bought one of those arrows for the top of my house, but you can barely see it because It's a little vein. Little wind vein. It'll be mine. Yes, it will be mine. Now, listen. I know. I know what you're thinking. Oh, hey, go back and listen to the episode where we talk so much about Wayne's world. Oh, that must be the queen one, right? No. Little Wayne. It's the Carter. Now, listen. I've got four other guys, five with me included today because I told you guys one more guy An extra guy. We got some burgers with those. Oh, no, it's right. It's not John for me. Dinah again. Is it? No, it is not. He's not a special guest. We've already said this. Just like the guys. Just like a definitely a not an overpriced. Burger. We've got five guys.

[5:00]And again, what does my daughter order when we go to five guys? Grilled cheese. Okay. She went on a date with some guy recently to five guys. And I was like, what did you order? She's like, I got the grilled cheese and he made fun of me. Now he dumped her. All right. Is this the 6'2 guy or a different guy? Yeah. How many grilled cheeses would he have to stack to get the difference between his height And your height? Listen, that fucker. First of all, he told her, I think we should just be friends. Oh, there's nothing wrong with that. She cries. Her eyes out at home. So I order pizza for her. I'm like, let's get pizza. For you. For her. For her. I'm on. I'm on the come go to drugs. I can't have that much pizza. Would you do the Bigfoot? Yeah. Yeah. We got a Bigfoot. First of all, I built a time machine. I went back and I ordered a Bigfoot pizza. That's some crazy bread. If my kids had crazy bread, it would fucking melt their brain. They couldn't handle it. These kids today. They can't handle it. I'm not ready for that shit. You're not ready for his own? Well, that's not really a pizza.

[6:00]I mean, if you want to get technical, you eat like a sandwich. And so then we got pizza and we we watched the shows that she wanted to watch. And then the next morning she's like, dad, we talked on the phone last night and I think It's going to work out. And I said, well, that's it. I said, when he dumps you again, I'm not ordering pizza. I said, that was your one pizza for getting dumped. That's it. Wife and I already hate the guy. Never have met him. If you get back to, if you get back together with someone who dumps you have to be The dumper. You have to be the dumper. You have to beat him to the punch the next time around. Well, I told her, I said, listen, it's crippling otherwise to take it, to go down twice. And I said to her, I go, listen, don't go crawling back. I said, the only thing you have is your self-respect. Don't go back and say, oh, we should just kiss one more time. Take your tongue out one more time and I'll suck on it. Don't say stuff like that. And you know what she said when I said that? What's that? She was in tears streaming down her face. She looks at me, her dad. I mean, she looks to for support and she goes, oh, I'm going to drive home so fast.

[7:00]And I was like, don't say that to me. That was a long time ago. And why are you listening to the podcast? I was not expecting that one. Where'd you get this? It's like me pulling up an MP3. I've got a big bag of weed from under her bed and an MP3. Where'd you get this? Where'd you listen to this? Rob, what would you think if you found out you're one of your daughters had like listened To all the episodes and knew everything. In the pod. Well, they kind of do because their bedrooms are right here. Wait, just, I'm just going to say this. Wait till you hear the parody song. They heard me record this parody song. I wrote today. I'm just going to say that right now. Now listen, can you imagine? Can you imagine having to listen to Rob's part of the podcast and not getting to hear To all the funny jokes that Aaron, Matt, and I make? That would be pretty brutal. You're just hearing the. They've only asked me a question once. And that was, why were you guys swearing allegiance to the queen last night? I was like, I don't even remember. It seemed like a funny bit at the time. I think it was to bug Aaron.

[8:00]I've got four other guys here. We're hoping that little Wayne has a follow-up song to a Millie called a Vanilli. Hey, blame it on the rain. No, blame it on the Wayne. Blame it on the Wayne. Damn Aaron. God damn. You're good. Listen, let's get right into it guys today. I do. Listen, let's turn on K-Rab. Now, do I, have I ever introduced these other four guys? I don't think I do that. They are. I think I do it. Don't I do it after this? It isn't after. I don't know. I think as a loyal listener, I think we do the song and then the introductions. Oh, okay. Rob jumped the gun on the, he jumped the gun on the Millie Vanilli thing is that was Supposed to come after the song. That's true. Well, that was okay. I'll edit that out. Hey what? Here we go. Let's turn on. You know what though, Rob? You know what they say? It was actually a famous quote by a hockey player. Little Wayne Gretzky. You miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take Rob. Wow. And with that what? That's a perfect. Intro to this song on K Rob K R O B.

[9:00]What's up everybody. Welcome to K Rob K R O B. Somebody told me the other day, you got to do what you love. Oh yeah. My Willie, my Willie, My Willie gets beat like a fat kid at a track meet. I throw that shit around like a scale. It takes a lot of pounds. I choke it so bad and it must be sad because it cries each night when I go to bed like An old car. It is well used and like alcohol, it gets abused. I move my hand like I'm saying Dean Wood. Just like Michael, I like to beat it and it feels so good. I'm rough on it and I take no prisoners. Stuff comes out, looks just like conditioner. It's called a hard on, but I jack it off. I'm grabbing more balls than Jared Goff. I'm not MC Hammer cause I love to touch that shit. I'll be jerking off till I'm in the casket. When you come to visit my grave, my tombstone will say he loves to masturbate.

[10:00]Oh, when you want to hear one of the greatest albums of all time. I don't even want to know what the dirty one was that you didn't play for us today, Rob. I was going to have a verse about a belt. It's so uncomfortable in normal time. The condition of your life is too much. It's too real. I bet it did it better. It wasn't even close. That is the least parody you've done in 208 episodes. Yeah, it's just straight bridges biographical. I've listened to every one of them. I'm going to say real quick, just to say this. I had my first kid in 2008. I've never heard any Lil Wayne songs ever. This is this whole area is like a black box in my life, except the opposite because I've never found it. Okay. Why don't they make the whole plane out of the black box? I don't know. There's something there. Listen, okay, this is back to the better.

[11:00]We're going through the top 500 albums, according to Rolling Stone, and I've got four guys with me here. I've got Matt Minneapolis. Matt, how are you doing? Good, Rob. Let me run with you tonight. I'll take you on a midnight ride. Wow. Oh, I've got Russ in Minneapolis. Russ, how are you doing? Rob tonight? You're going to swallow my words and taste my thoughts. And if it's too nasty, spit it back at me. Oh my God. Okay. And I've got Andy. He's out in Oakland. It's little Rosie. Little Rosie. How are you doing tonight? I need a Winn-Dixie grocery bag full of money right next to the VIP, Rob. Thanks for having me. Coming in hot. Yes. And I've got Aaron out in California now. Why didn't you call him little Rosie? We will never know. I asked Aaron. I asked Aaron the other day. We were doing some math stuff. And I said, Aaron, what's the square root of 69? And he goes, eight something. Oh. Mule for two with a hairy view. If you don't forget that one is this a straight joke book?

[12:00]You're getting that from, or how are you getting that? Hey, straight or gay, whatever. 69 is always great. All right. This is officer tell that Lieutenant take them cuffs off you. Let's talk about the Wayne, the Carter three. Actually a gay 69 is probably harder to do. It's probably more about angles. You know what I mean? All right. So what do we do now? I forget. You're listening to it. You're thinking about it and that's, that's really, I guess. I guess I'd want to be the guy on top. Now that I think about that, let's get to the Beck line. Oh, so stupid. My ass. I keep forgetting. Domest of the dumb. Changes. The listeners are dumb. Shits. Just the dumbest of the dumb, dumb, dumb, shit. Listeners, like listeners, like dumb, dumb, dumb shit. We're going to be coming up on your anniversary of you recording that. I think so. I, I don't want to say this guys, but we're like three weeks away from a scary song list

[13:00]Just to make you feel old. That blew my mind. I had to start thinking about that. I was like, Oh fuck. Now listen, possibly be the scariest song. Now today, Hey, Willie cover for all the trick or treaters. That was scary. It was scary to think about me doing it. Now listen, we've got two voicemails tonight, but they both revolve around the same thing. And that is how great our last episode was. Yes. Okay. People that the reviews are in. And by the way, got lots of voicemails. Don't need any more. Don't bother calling. We are full of voicemails. The people love the last episode. Now I agree. Did they love it because it was an hour and 10 minutes long? Probably not. They like the longer ones. I think. Okay. It turns out what they love. Is when I put 10 minutes of dog barking at the end. Okay. So here is a voicemail. Listen to this. This is from what I would say. No offense, little Rosie, but this is from a super fan. Probably our number one fan. Magic Mike. Oh, come on. Oh, magic Mike. Rob in all sincerity. That was probably one of the best episodes you guys have done.

[14:00]Definitely in the top five. Magic Mike. Magic Mike. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, man. That magic. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Right. We will have no magic. Defend your honor. We will have no magic. Mike slander on this show because we are going to meet him one day. And I know. And I don't want to get stabbed. Okay. Worlds Masters Worlds in two years is out in Reno. So I know. Number one, going to the ranch. Number two, mean magic. Mike, maybe at the same time. We'll see. I mean I, you'd have to be a pretty crazy fuck to just show up on an ass in Las Vegas. I mean, I, you'd have to be a pretty crazy fuck to just show up on an ass in Las Vegas. I mean, I, you'd have to be a pretty crazy fuck to just show up on an ass in Las Vegas with Other people, wouldn't you? You wouldn't know anything about that, would you? Little Rosie. I remember when we all got paid people to jack us off. Oh, well what? I'll edit that out. But now listen, okay. That voicemail where he says this was the greatest episode we've done is in direct opposition

[15:00]To Russell's voicemail or to Russell's email to us editing the podcast, which I said, and I quote, not top five. I was heartbroken when I got that email. I could not. He said, very good. Quick. Listen, not top five. Russell, explain yourself. But I think if you also pull up my notes, I think I had two or three things in there That I would call greatest hits. And I believe I also sent you guys text saying the upstairs roommate was laughing hysterically At the barking dogs at the accountability text chain. I may have just undersold it. I think it was a great episode. Can you imagine people like the barking dog bit? We are trying. We are trying too hard. The barking dog bit is what people loved. You know whose bit that was? That was a Matt bit. A Matt bit. Matt. Nice job with that bit. Okay. And I got to say, I am still replying to Mike Johnson's Twitter on the official back to The better Twitter account. Every time he posts, I say, and I quote, as your son jacked off recently. So I am putting that out there all the time. I want to put that on the wrong account.

[16:00]It looks very. Appreciate you for that. This podcast gets brought down by Rob. I don't know. You know, just these days, you just want to have political discourse. You just want to talk about things. You know what I mean? You know what? Everything's political now. It's just, it's all too political. I don't need that shit. We have no cash. No, no, no. I just wait. Can you imagine if the speaker of the house listened to our podcast? I want to remind you. That would be some stuff. That once again, this year, I am taking a bunch of seventh graders on a field trip to Washington, DC. There is a chance I'm going to be Mike Johnson. I'm going to be Mike Johnson. I'm going to be Mike Johnson. And if I do, I will not be able to resist asking if his son, asking him if his son has Jacked off recently, sir. I knew it. I knew that this podcast would be the end of Rob's teaching career. I cannot wait. Hey, by the way. Yeah. To the end of my, to my teaching career. You kind of suck balls actually, but we're all saluted.

[17:00]Matt's got it up now too. Andy's had it up for a minute. Yeah. It is with great sadness that I must sacrifice my career to ask speaker of the house, Mike Johnson. If in fact his son has recently jerked it and then called or texted his father. This is a real thing. Just look it up and said, dad, I recently jerked off. So I just want everybody to picture doing that right now. The horror you would have. Okay. And what'd you say? It looked like conditioner. Hey, Rob's going to do it. You don't have to. Oh, it's this episode for sure. Aaron, I come two for one. They're both in there. All right. Okay. I forget. Oh, let's get to our other voicemail. Okay. This is a voicemail from Chad from God knows where.

[18:00]Bye. Okay. Chad from the Southern city somewhere. Listen to this. Talking about whether or not he listened to it. He listened through the dog. Oh, we asked him. We thought he would be the only one. I did. I loved it. I laughed. Oh, so there we go. We have a voicemail. That sounds like Chad from Lakeville. So I guess the question is, how do we take that last episode and build and just do that Every episode? How do we do that? What's the key? No lists. And I got to keep my, my rolling going to about a minute. Okay. Well, bad news. We do have a list. We do have a list tonight and Russ, I'm okay. We'll start the timer. Russ, when you're doing your rolling going, but I don't know. Cause I, there's something, there is something about the hour. I got to say guys editing an hour and 10 minute podcast. Oh, so sweet. Sat down, edited it, got done. My butt didn't hurt. Didn't have to like cut out 20 minutes of us talking about wrestlers from 1986 or whatever. Let's get into rolling going. It's time to see what everybody's up to.

[19:00]It's time for. Let's start with. Andy, rolling going. How is it going with you? Rolling going. How's it going with me? Well, I'm a, I'm out in beautiful Oakland, California visiting my brother, big Rosie Here. We've had a, why, hold on. Why do they call him big Rosie? We'll talk about that. I would compare it to my favorite. So we we've, we've had a great time. He took me to an Oakland A's game yesterday and they, They're selling out, which like I've heard they're selling the team, but like it was a sellout. I don't really understand. It's not even a real team. How could you go to a guest at a real team? That's some guy. We had a great time. I said, Hey, I'll be back. I'll see you then. He did make that joke. He made the, he tried it. He tried to, he tried that joke. But we had a great time. We went over to San Francisco today. We ate some clam.

[20:00]So we were just all up and down San Francisco, eating clam. Unbelievable time. I wanted to get into some star anise to eat, but you know, he couldn't, it makes his face blotchy. So just clam for us. But I did want to, I did hope Rob, can you queue up the James Brown music? Cause I did want to share something from what's going on in Aaron's life. I mean, you're really getting the inside scoop now. Yeah. Aaron, I drilled a hole in the bathroom. Aaron got a fruit box delivered. So we've had some lovely fruit delivered by his, fruit delivery. And I wanted to read you, I wanted to read you the list of, of fruits that were delivered in today's. Oh, please. So I don't know if I can last this whole list though. We're at you now. We had some Lake Mott grapes. Oh, wow. We had some Warren pears. Don't sleep with those pears. We had some autumn flame, yellow peaches.

[21:00]We had some. We had some dark bell watermelon, you get that conditioner ready. We had some black cat. What, wait, what? We had some coffee cake, persimmons. Oh my God, we had some bell to boss. Are you serious right now? That's that's a crazy parent. How much diarrhea do you have every week? That's an insane amount of fruit to be eating. That's you. Even. I mean, I also got a half a flat of my other mangoes, but those were not ripe. So we didn't try those yet. I am fucking pissed at you, Aaron. How long have you been getting a fruit box and you've never mentioned it to us? Not this thing. That's that's the whole thing is that this was the first week I ordered the fruit box And it happened to coincide with my brother being here and being on the podcast where He could know. I just discovered these people. They're called queen and they collect fruits from all around the farms that I usually Have to go to the farmer's market to get and they deliver the box right to my house.

[22:00]Wow. Aaron, that is Andy, when this box of fruit shows up, are you just like, Oh yeah, this is normal. Like growing up, Andy, did you have like, what's in the box? He came back from somewhere. I think it was from the game and I, and there it is on the front step. Like, all right, there's their delivery. I'm pretty happy. You know, walking the kid to school, like met somebody who had some fruit delivery Service, like whatever. Why does this box smell like cat piss so much? It's just, I mean, after all the clams, sometimes you just want a little fruit box. So you just, oh my God. So Andy, was Aaron like this growing up? Like, was he all weird and fucked up or what? No, I don't, I don't think so, but he was like, he like, well kind Of bringing it back to the podcast. He was Beatles guy. Like, I don't know if you guys all had Beatles guy at your school, but there was like a Beatles

[23:00]Guy everywhere. And he was very into the Beatles. And we listened to a lot of the white album. Like he was very into the white album. These things are all true. Number nine, you're a, you're a nine there's a song for the white Album right here. Oh, no. And wants me to get it right. You have this ready. He is not just your average guy. See, I got a fruit box. Oh my, my, he thinks seeing feet is just the greatest. Oh my, my, he thinks seeing feet is just the greatest. He made so many songs about this. He did. Okay. I'll, I'll round it out by, we did go to the wonderful legendary Kingfish pub in Oakland. One of the greatest. Legitimately. We went there twice today. I did notice. And there's a bunch of it's one of those places that people just stick shit On the walls. There is something on the wall that said, why it had a picture of a dude and it said Wanted for foot fondling. I didn't know.

[24:00]Did you take a picture of it, Andy? I did not. We've got there. We've got this artist in our text chain. I think it's Chad from Lakeville. He just, he makes a beautiful, he's excellent at Photoshop. He could be the guy. He could do it. The weird thing is Aaron was putting up those signs, but it was picture. It was just like a mirror and it said, wanted for foot fondling. I want to fondle your feet. Yeah. You missed the top. Part of the science said women wanted for foot fondling signed Aaron. That's so weird that you would, you guys would see a foot fondling. I am a foot man and I do have a foot fetish. Yeah, that's true. I forgot that. Thank you for reminding me of that. I can't believe I walked into that one at some point in the last four fucking years. Andy, can I ask, so we were, we joke about Aaron and the foot fetish and all this stuff. Does the podcast ever come up at like a family Thanksgiving, a family reunion?

[25:00]Are there other people in the family that listen? And do they ask Aaron about the foot fetish? Do they make jokes about the foot? Does it ever come up or no? No, no, it does not. Aaron's accountability. Doesn't your dad listen, Aaron? Yeah, he listens. We'll bring up bits every now and again, but no, the foot fondling, the foot fetish Stuff is not, in our table talk in our household. I got to say, it is tough to listen to some of the older podcasts. I go back and listen to him sometime cause I'm such an egomaniac and I am so mean to Aaron. And now that I realize that like his dad, It would just be like, if, if somebody was making a podcast with my kid, it was like This piece of shit. What a piece of shit. I'd be like, Oh my God, this is the bit that for sure comes up when it's me and my Dad and Andy is the maps bit maps always comes up. That one. Excellent. People want to do you love that bit? Nobody likes those stupid Rob, you may be an egomaniac, but we know that our dear Listener, our father is an Eagle maniac. Yeah, I love that last episode.

[26:00]That's right. I couldn't. I couldn't trust the Eagles, man. You've been using the term. We, I don't think we normally use this term. We typically call it a foot fetish. You're calling it foot fondling. And I feel like there's a difference because a fetish, I feel like is like Aaron likes to look at them. Fondling feels like he's, he's whacking something against them or something like, it feels Like there's more going on. I know you guys. Once again, let's be clear. I am not, this was not Aaron's. You see Aaron's so happy cause he's at a glory hole and just a foot comes through and he's Like, Oh yeah. My dream come true. Next roll and go. Just throw some conditioner on there. Andy, hold on. Before you go, Andy, can you verify that you guys actually do have a sister? Cause I still don't think you guys have a sister. Do you guys have a sister? Allegedly. Yes. We, we have to see this sister has not called or left any text messages. We're talking about family. There's nothing. Matt, look, is, is Whitney Houston on the list?

[27:00]Yes. Okay. Well then we, we, we got to have her come on for a cameo for the, for Whitney Houston. Yeah. We'll look that up. You know what? I'll put pants on if she comes, if she's coming on, I'll put pants on. I'll show her the proper respect. Appreciate that. Okay. Say, I don't know if you guys have had this experience, but I texted Aaron the other day Because I was listening to a Randy Newman record, which, shout out to, I'll Just stop you right there. No. Oh, I see that. It's from South St. Paul. Yeah. I'll say Paul. Knows how much I love Randy Newman. But I said I got to come on that episode and it's like two 75 or something. And I had a very sobering thought of like, that is like a year from now. And I don't know if you guys have had that feeling where you're like, Oh, like that's, That's, that's way more than a year. Every week, two years from now, every week we're, we're dead inside. So we don't think about that shit anymore. Aaron rolling going, how's it going with you? Well, I think you've heard a lot of the great things that have been going on in my life,

[28:00]But I do want, it sounds. Like some of our listeners are curious about the experience of the final days game at the Coliseum. And we were there yesterday. So I've got to, I've got to talk about it a little bit. I don't think I would have gone to the final A's game of the year, except that Andy here Saying, am I right? Probably three months ago said, Hey, I kind of want to come out for the final A's Game at the Coliseum. So I said, yeah, let's do it. Bought a ticket, took the day off yesterday and, made it happen. And, Andy came with me and then Anna joined us later too. So we had like the three of us got to go enjoy the game. And, it was just, it was great vibes. Like Rob, write that down. His wife's name's Anna. So you don't keep forgetting. I don't need to lock it, write it down. I'm going to keep it up in the steel trap. And it it could have been, it could have gone all kinds of different ways. It could have been it was a funeral for sure. They had a funeral vibe. Could have gone all kinds of different ways. It could have been angry. It could have been ugly.

[29:00]It could have been ugly. It could have been overly sad, but the whole day I think was just fantastic. We celebration, it was a celebration and we, we took Bart to get there, stopped off in Fruitvale for some Agua Chile and grabbed a burrito to go, got back on the, you Know, hung out on the Bart bridge for a minute and just got to watch people come in and see All the vendors selling Modelo's and tequila shots and edibles and mushrooms and whatever Else was out there. Sorry, dad, we couldn't find you a long sleeve t-shirt. But so the Bart bridge was like my number one thing. I wanted to make sure I did one more time. And then the game, like we had great seats, hung out at the game and then ran into a buddy Who was in a suite. So we got to go hang out in the suite for the end of the game. The whole thing just start to finish. Absolutely perfect. It's a total crime that, the Oakland Coliseum is not going to host baseball anymore. It's a perfect place. It was a perfect day. It was a great game. The game itself was actually like very well played. It was a three, two win. We saw Mason Miller throw 103.8 miles an hour, the whole thing just like.

[30:00]You know, hats off to the Oakland A's hats off to Andy for suggesting that we go. Cause I wasn't sure if I, I would do it. And I'm, I'm glad I did. What's up, man. Did you steal a chair? I know we didn't say it was very tame at the end. Like a couple of people. Yes. It really never got serious. Like we sat, we were in the right field. Could you have taken a chair? Like were people doing that or no? Matt, these fans didn't have energy to pay for tickets for the last 15 years. They're not, they don't have energy. Oh my God. No, I saw it. Like we all saw the video of the two guys trying to steal the chairs on Wednesday night. And I don't think they got out with, they did not, they had to put them back and they Were reinstalled. I read about it. Those chairs were actually did get some seats. Oh really? Cause we, we hung around for quite a while once the game was over. Cause the team came out and Mark, I'd say talked and like, it was just pretty chill. Like I think people just didn't really know what to do. A couple of people threw like smoke players or whatever under the field.

[31:00]And then people threw some water bottles a little bit, but everybody kind of booed those Folks for throwing stuff on the field. You can't ruin a beauty. That's going to be a, it's, that's going to be a celebration. You got to take the, you got to remember the good times. You got to remember Jose can say, go 40, 40, Ricky Henderson, ripping the base out of the Ground. Yeah. The A's losing to the twins in the 2002 ALDS like that was the moments you got to remember For chasing down a fall ball. Was that the last playoff? Series victory. Actually. And we had a one of a year ago, Aaron, like some sort of wild card game. The coolest part of the game was that at the very end they had Brad Pitt come out and he Said, well, the A's are leaving. We are going to recreate them in the aggregate. So I'm excited. But yeah, they did the greatest hits on the video board. They played the Bernie lean and moved from the Coco crisp days. Barry Zito sang the national Anthem. That was a fun surprise. No, he just sang. Yeah.

[32:00]Yeah. No, no, no. No guitar. Just singing. So yeah, man, it was a great day, man. Aaron's blue folks. He said, I believe my city. I'm glad we're going to be fine without a we'd want John Fisher any longer. Like this guy's a total crook and isn't going to put together a winner no matter where he Goes. So what was that sign? The, you sent us a picture. Guy had a pretty good sign. He had a sign that said, John Fisher likes to have sex with couches too. That was pretty good. And he was wearing a t-shirt that said Las Vegas sucks. So that was pretty all right. That should be the teacher for our trip, man. I mean, I've definitely been on a, yeah, I took the two days off one for the Game yesterday. One does Andy mentioned today we went over to the city and had some great seafood and I've been on kind of a bender, so I'm going to try to detox this weekend, but I'm here With you guys tonight and I'm surviving. So we're, we're getting through it and I appreciate you guys working through it with me. How's it rolling? Going well. I'm going to try to detox this weekend, but I'm here with you guys tonight and I'm surviving. So we're, we're getting through it and I appreciate you guys working through it with Me. How's it rolling?

[33:00]Going with Russell, rolling, going, things are going good. I thought we had a special guest on the timer. We're starting to go right. We're going to the tournament. Rob hit the tournament music. It's been so long. I forgot what music we played. Here we go. You know what I thought we could do? We're in the finals of the DVD tournament. Rob, Aaron, Matt, we've heard your guys' thoughts on the two movies that are in the finals all Throughout the tournament. Andy, I thought what we could do is let you make the case. We're in the finals of the DVD tournament. Oh, wow. You've heard your guys' thoughts on the two movies that are in the finals all throughout The tournament. Andy, I thought what we could do is let you make the case. We're in the finals of the DVD tournament. Oh, wow. You will not determine the winner. We'll still send it to an Instagram vote. But Andy, I thought you could make the case for what you think in the DVD finals. The DVD tournament final. Everything else has got to go in my house. It's Dumb and Dumber from the Comedy Region versus The Godfather. What are you taking? God damn it. Okay. This is so stupid. This show sucks. Here we go. So this is Dumb and Dumber from the Comedy Region versus The Godfather. What are you taking? God damn it. Okay. This is so stupid. This show sucks. Here we go. So this is Dumb and Dumber from the Comedy Region versus The Godfather. What are you taking? God damn it. This is interesting. This is so crazy. So for Lil Wayne, there's a track later on the album called Phone Home, and it is a parody Of sorts off of E.T. Phone Home.

[34:00]E.T. A movie I have never seen. Oh. The Godfather, also a movie I have never seen. Oh. The long list of movies that I should have seen that I've never seen. Yes. Not a movie guy. Not a movie guy. Hey, Andy, what you just said, how does that quote go from Dumb and Dumber? Might be the dumbest thing. Might be the dumbest thing. We're all dumber for having listened to it. No, that's that's Billy Madison. Yeah, you idiot, you get zero points. I warned you no points. We're all dumber for happy deal. Oh, my God. Is it that bad? Dumb and Dumber idiot. So there's a D.D. Over that way. You guys have all just named a number of movies that I think are probably better Than Dumb and Dumber themselves. And the Godfather, I know it's plastic and I know it's like it's like a, You know, a well-written film and all this shit. I'm going to have to go to they have to go with the Godfather Because I think there's a lot of comedies that are better than Dumb and Dumber. Wow, you're picking the Godfather over Dumb and Dumber.

[35:00]That's crazy. Nobody's ever seen it. The fact that you have to say that out loud, the show sucks again. Listen, we had one good app. That's it. We're bad now. Get our best. We did our best. Well, I'm sorry. I took us into the ground. Matt Roland going, how's it going with you? Good. Rob, can you play one song for me? It's a short one so we can pull it up. There you go. Perfect. Nobody thinks that's funny but me, but I'll keep doing it. I know I'd like to hear Stars by Hum. Oh, Stars by Hum. Yeah, I heard this on something the other day and I forgot about it. It's a good one. I have to go through a little bit, but. All right, Rob. It starts a little bit of a space hog vibe to start. Yeah. Space hog. The inspiration for this podcast. That was the song Rob and I listened to while we were high on the pontoon Boat up at Kohl's Resort driving around us over the last four hours. I knew we were high on the boat

[36:00]Until the boat just went in a circle for four hours. And when we caught a fish, we were shocked. We were scared. We got a fish and we were like, oh no, what do we do now? Rob, you said something and I don't remember if it was on the podcast Or it when we were just hanging out, But you said there was going to be news in the standup comedy department. And then you never said what it was. What is your news in the standup comedy department? It's going to be my rolling going for the next episode. Do it now. But you want me, I'll do it now. Listen. Yeah. I've got a friend, OK, who is a drag queen Who's doing the talent show at their drag show. When is this late October? After I go to South Africa to lift how many minutes you get? OK, I get five minutes. And I think a bunch of people see the drag show Is literally the perfect audience for the jokes I have.

[37:00]Right. I could not be a better audience. OK, I want to remind you my opener joke. I want to lose enough weight to cheat on my wife. My second joke. My wife's boobs look like my pillow I've slept on for eight years. Oh, no, no, no. Oh, God. My third joke. Are you ready to joke? No, no one's ready. No one's ready to joke. Hey, I've got some jokes here that my my 15 year old daughter wrote. Hey, why is the corner so hot? Why? It's 90 degrees. And I'm reading these out of sheet of paper. What has four wheels and flies? What? A garbage truck. Hey, I hear these environmentalists Talking about the ozone, but that's what I call my bedroom. Oh, Jesus Christ. Oh, my God. And et cetera, I have a lot of butthole jokes. Oh, OK. And then my closer is.

[38:00]You want to hear my transitions between your jokes or not? Like, I'm not going to lie. Miss Hedberg said I got to get in the lab. Yeah, I'm going to get in the lab. I'm going to come up with some transitions. OK, let me think one right now. Oh, man, that joke, I can't believe it. I got to talk to my daughter, but it reminds me. I got to talk to my doctor. Does anybody else? Does anybody else's fingernails too long That it affects them when they masturbate? Oh, no, I know this one. I know this one. I know this one. My asshole is torn up. God. Oh, no. That's been my time. Thanks, everybody. They might need to just give Rob the eight seconds for that. I just want to lose enough weight to cheat on my wife. See, I think it's good. I forget that you have to read that one. Robert, are you going to have a stage name Or just go by your regular name? I'm going to go by my regular name

[39:00]Because I keep all those jokes in my notes app. And Jenny one day goes, I opened up your jokes In the note app and I was like, oh, no, You saw the joke about, oh, I used to think All buttholes look so nice. You know what I mean? How come I married somebody where it looks like a worm On the sidewalk? Oh, oh, my God. Looks like a junior mint at the bottom of a box At the bottom of a box at the movies. That's your bit right there. Looks like my counter when my kids are done Making a Sunday. Oh, what the fuck? And then now remind yourself She's going to be in the crowd. So so far, I've told three jokes about her. One cheating on her. One about pretty much each part of her body. Really? So it's going great. I hope she votes for me in the day on the show. Good at being married. Yeah, I'm great. By the way, I multiple pictures of her on the toilet Have come up recently on the picture frame When I used to burst in on her And take a picture of her sitting on the toilet. Rob, don't you like

[40:00]Like I think the great comedians Are the great storytellers. They always loop it around. So like whatever they're starting with, They loop it around. They hammer something hard at the beginning Where it loops it back. Are you going to have like, I just want to lose Enough weight to close it out? Or how are you going to close this thing? I don't know. Yeah, there's something about like, Oh, I'm on Osempic and everybody says, Oh, if you're on Osempic, you have a big head. It's like, well, if I got a big head And come gutters, who cares? Something like that. Hey, you've been great. That's my time. Nailed it. Yeah. Clever, Matt. Good really going, Matt. I got to go to the bathroom. OK. I'll keep those headphones on. You like that? You might need the key. Yeah, that's unlocked, but you get. You guys lock your bathroom? Yeah, we're in the garage, man. He's got to open the whole garage. Oh, my God, out of the garage. We're watching a man, a grown man Go under the garage door. Yeah, that was one of the greatest bits ever. Rosie, living on the garage.

[41:00]And we're full. We're in it, man. We're out here in the garage. Brother leave through the garage door To go piss outside is just like up to the back. I feel like it's dark outside. It's dark out. Just go. It looks like Aaron's got like you have a manual garage. Like that's a there's no like button on that. You got to pick that up by hand every day. Yeah. Oh, behind me. You can see this is I had to do that. Oh, I Aaron, I get it though, Because when you do that, It's like your fucking commando. It's like your Arnold Schwarzenegger In the beginning of commando walking out there, Just cool as hell. Yeah, you can see this is like a there's like a spring Behind me and like a Pulley kind of system. It's very old school. Now, I've seen your garage, Aaron. You recently shared a picture of me of your workout area. Yeah, it's in your garage. Right. And now I saw the size of that door. That makes me think, Do you ever park your car in the garage? There can't be. Oh, no, not at all. No, there's no garage. There's no car in here. So this is the full garage. So there's a we're looking at a door. And I just dropped my mic. So he's got the peloton there.

[42:00]Wow, still has a peloton. That's impressive, Aaron. It's like some shelves and stuff. Just a bunch of Oh, he's got like a little library seating area, Like a little drinking area. It's like a yeah. And there's a thousand bottles of baby oil And some pictures of feed. I don't get what's going on there. But that's I that's fine. I'm not worried about that. That's it. That's the whole garage. But yeah, no, we're this is an experiment. I've not I don't I've not received any texts from upstairs yet. So hopefully this is not too loud, But this is the experiment as to whether I can start recording In the garage rather than the laundry room Because it's cooler down here. I would say if you want to make sure That you're not going to get texts about being too loud, Put your phone on airplane mode. You're going to be great. OK, that's going to work out perfectly. Is it my role in going now? Did anybody kick it to me? Yeah. Rob, how's it going with you, man? Now, listen, I don't want to get into why. OK, but I recently had to go to the doctor And had them inject me with dye.

[43:00]OK, so they are injecting me with dye. I am lying on some machine. OK, of course, lying to them about how I prepped for it. Oh, have you had caffeine in the last 12 hours? Motherfucker, I just read the prep instructions eight hours before And I had to do a big squat. So I drank a C4. Look, like I'm going to tell them that. Look at me. Do I look like a guy that doesn't drink caffeine? What are we talking about, man? Yeah. Oh, I definitely check the instructions on time. I didn't leave that text to the last possible minute Because I was stressed about it. Get out of here. This dye, they put in, they go, listen, You're going to feel the dye in your body. And I was like, what? And sure enough, when they injected it into my arm, Oh, my God, the garage doors opening up again. I cannot take this shit. It's so good. But speaking of putting in my veins, that's what I wanted. There's no way there are houses in suburban Iowa Where Andy and Eric grew up that don't have Electronic garage door openers. Like, there's never opened a garage by hand before in his life. Well, that's probably true. That's probably true. Listen, Russ, I will have you know

[44:00]That my home in suburban Iowa right now. The third stall is a manual garage. So if I open the third stall of my garage, I have to do it by hand. Yeah, Aaron calls that his house. That garage is probably the size of his house. I that third stall is like. Now listen to the key back, by the way. All right, cool. We're listening. We're totally listening. I get in general, I'm into my arm. I can feel the dye moving down my arm. And as a science teacher, I'm like, this is crazy. So it hits my heart. It then spreads out over. And it was so fast. Cause I know, like I teach the circuitry system. I know how fast it works. But yeah, this spreads so fast. I was like, this is so cool. I'm feeling it. And all of a sudden I can feel in my body Where I had tons of blood vessels. My face, my head, I was like tingling. I have so many blood vessels going to my balls. I was blown away. My balls went crazy. Guys, my balls went so crazy. I've told two people at work about it.

[45:00]Hey, Rob, how crazy were they going? How crazy were they going? How crazy were your balls? My balls are going so crazy. It's just like, I was like, oh my, And I've never felt more like a man. I came home and I told my wife, I go, Do you know how much blood I have Going to my balls every second? I said, I could feel it today. It was a tremendous amount of blood. I'm telling you gotta do this stuff. You gotta feel the blood to your balls. You feel like a man. There's so much blood to my, My body is taking care of my balls constantly. First, balls first. And that's, I think that's great. I think that everything should be paid. I'm paying that much attention to my balls, okay? My heart is flooding my balls with blood right now To the point where I could feel it. Is that why you texted us a little bit After that appointment? I noticed that we got a text from you About some accountability. Yeah, oh no, it happened again. Yeah, so I just gotta say guys, it was crazy.

[46:00]It was crazy. How often do you guys think about your balls? I guess that's my question for my role in going. Not that often. I guess it's just like when I wash them. Like you think about them while you wash them, And like you're going through it and you're buying, Like, I don't really know how much thinking Is going on really. I mean, we don't need to call it fondly Like your brother does, but. I feel like I'm like not actively thinking About my balls particularly often, But I do feel like I'm probably like passively thinking About my balls quite often. Yeah, here, can we get, maybe Russell, You tell me if we're getting a little too personal here. We're about to find out more. Not for you, but for the podcast. What I think about my balls often Is when I'm in yoga class and they wanna do the, What they call the chair. Yeah, you have to twist up in there. Where you gotta have the legs together. And all of the female teachers are always saying, Put your thighs together, sink down low and low. And I'm like, I can't fucking do this. Am I the only guy that can't do this?

[47:00]And like, do they know that there's testicles between these? When you do that chair pose, Your balls get pulled so far down. It's like it's in an Apple press. It's like you're making Apple site with your balls. They get pulled so far down and you're like, whoa. It's crazy. So that's when I think about my balls more than anything. It's sad to me that like I've got two kids And they're never gonna know how much blood go to your balls. Like to me it's just like a whole lack. I think that's where I get my confidence. I think like my whole aura comes from How much blood my balls get. And I came home and I was doing this bit to my wife And she goes, Did you stop talking about the blood to your balls? And I was like, I can't. I can't do it. It's almost like you're thinking With that region down there For the majority of your life. Like that's all that matters And that's all that you talk about. I think that's right. I feel like I should go dye my hair gray Because when I could feel how much blood was going to my balls It felt like God was speaking to me.

[48:00]Just like Moses went up, his hair turned gray, Staying with me when I found out how much blood Goes to my balls. And you know what? Let's talk about the Kata three. I don't want to say. Music, I guess. It's spelled the, T-H-A, I'm not saying. I'm not saying the, okay. I'm not saying the. I'm saying the. Okay, it sounds weird when I say the. I don't like it. The car. He's not going to say Aquamini. You know, he's not going to say. I I think about that Every time I hear out. He's not going to say Sino the times. Oh, Sino the times. That was a good one. The car. Sino, it was when he was Irish. We talked about this. Okay. That was his favorite. That was his favorite jig album. Listen, we were talking about the car to three. Okay. This is Lil Wayne's and I'm going to say it again. Never listen to any Lil Wayne. I enjoyed the fuck out of this album. I thought it was awesome. But this is 2008. This is the birth of my first child.

[49:00]Actually to the month. It was peak Lil Wayne. He was at the top of his powers. I haven't listened to a lot of Lil Wayne, But I listened to a ton of Lil Wayne Brady. He's, his comedy is so, oh my God. Whose line is it anyway? Is Wayne Brady going to have to cut a bit? Did he say the titular line? I don't remember the part in the show where they said, Whose line is it? That'd be crazy if they never said it though On the show. That's like in, in that show friends When they'd be like, we're all good friends. And then they'd look at the camera. They get real close to the camera. Yeah. Listen. I do remember distinctly having a baby in like a car seat And walking into a music store. And I saw so many copies of the Carter three. And I was like, what the fuck is this? And it was just this, I'm going to make the case Right now that this is the biggest album Of the 2000s. Like the biggest rap album of the 2000s right here. Ready? This is the fastest selling album ever. One million copies in the first week. No, it's like 22nd. It might be the fastest hip hop album, But I believe it's like 22nd.

[50:00]All right, I'm going to get that clean. It's the 22nd cleanest. Dang it. I'm terrible at this. So then Russ, thank you. Then nominated for album of the year, One best rap album, best rap song And best rap solo performance All off this album. Now I got to say this. Do you know who they're going against in the Grammys? Have you seen what the Grammys were like in 2007? You know who he lost to for best album of the year? Who's that? You'll never guess. Fuckin' Robert Plant and Allison Krauss. They cleaned up at this Grammys. They won all the Grammys. They won record of the year. They won album of the year. Listen to the album of the years That he was going against. Yeah. Perfectly pleasant album though. Raising Sand. He's going against Raising Sand, Robert Plant, Allison Krauss. He's going against Coldplay, Neo and Radiohead. What a crazy year for music in the Grammys. Wait, Neohead? Why?

[51:00]I didn't know Neohead. I mean, in Rainbows is a great album. It's crazy. I mean, the Grammys love like artists like that. You know, classic artists like Robert Plant, Tony Bennett, Lil Wayne Newton Is probably another one that's in that genre. Oh. Dankachine. Grammys love it. And so does my Grammy. Got her jacking off to a picture of Wayne Newton. Oh my God. What? Oh, I'm sorry. My grandma can't be sexual. You're dirty granny? I'm like dirty granny. What was that? We haven't had a call from dirty granny in quite a while. Wait a minute. Rob, put that in your tickler file For the dirty granny call. Okay. Okay. We got it. I do have a question for you guys about this album. So like, so this album and Lil Wayne in general, I don't have like, I've never really listened to a ton of albums of his. I was never like super into him. But what I do think of Lil Wayne, That is like, I was like 24 when this album came out And like every, But when I was like going to shitty bars And I was 24 years old and going to the club And shit like that. This is like all that I heard, Like got money, a million stuff like that.

[52:00]And so like, A lot of time. Yeah, the various places I lived, Like if I was at like drinking uptown When I lived there Or exchange in downtown Des Moines, Like places like that. So I'm curious for you guys, When you think of like being like Early in your early 20s, You guys are a little bit older than me. What are like the songs that you remember here? And like, not stuff you listen to, But like every time you went out, It's the shit that you were here. And would anything come to mind for you guys on that? In that we used to go to Bar Abilene And Krista Kirsten, Chris, I forget who it is for me, Dinah, Would always request a party in the USA by. Wow. That's a strong name. You're right. Miley Cyrus. So listen. Yeah, Miley Cyrus. Wow. Yeah. So I whenever I hear that song, I think of Bar Abilene, Person for me, Dinah, going nuts. So I'm going to take Feel Good Ink by the Gorillaz. I feel like I heard that all the time. That's kind of like an early 2000s hit, right? Does that count? Yep.

[53:00]I'm going to say I love to underage drinks. I'm going to say Smooth by Santana and Rob Thomas. They got 17 or 18. Can't remember anything from my 20s. Okay. And there's no reason to be concerned about that. I feel like it would have to be At that time of my life, I was working at St. Joe's and I would go out sometimes, But I would also just hear whatever was on KDWB. So for me, it was KDWB. So it was like, it was just 50 cent in the club Or it was like GZ Soul Survivor. Like that's what was everywhere to me. I'll say the other one was that Snoop and Pharrell song was. Beautiful. Like that one was, That was like pretty different and groundbreaking. I remember going out to the bars and hearing Macarena. But again, I was, Aaron, you reference 50 cent and this is right in that window. 2005, the massacre by 50 cent,

[54:00]It ranks 14th on the list Of the fastest selling albums of all time. So the most sales in the first week Was 50 cent, the massacre 2005. Okay, right. That's probably the closest one for you guys Cause I was a junior in high school When in the club was like popping off And you guys were here. Andy, you're totally fucking right. I just looked up who won the Grammy For 2005 record of the year. Here we go again, Ray Charles and Nora Jones. You are such a fucking genius. That's crazy. Being an American idiot by Green Day, Get it started by the Black High Peas. And yeah, by Usher. That's the one I would say. Yeah. Yeah. Like there's that's kind of bullshit. Like you hear people talk about like the movies, Like the Academy Awards When like Forrest Gump beats out Shawshank Redemption And people always say that's bullshit. Shawshank would have won. Like, yeah, by Usher, not winning the grip. Fuck that. I'm so far. Right. Song of the year. That is the song of that year. That's the song of that decade.

[55:00]Yes. And you know what? We might as well for 2005, go to the Avianz. Let's see what some of the winners were From your vault of your network. It looks like Best Interactive DVD, Groupy Love. Hange was probably on that list, right? Yeah. Best Gonzo series. I would have expected. What is a Gonzo series? Well, that's where it's not like officially made. It's just like a director and a guy And it's kind of like amateurish, But it's also their professionals, But it's like an amateur camera work. Oh my gosh. Or whatever. I mean, that's what I'm reading here. I can't believe that Jack's Playbook Ground By Seymour Butts beat out anal three. Oh, I'm sorry. It's A-N-A-L. There's a dot each one. So it must stand for something. Got to look up what it stands for now. We're going on this rabbit hole. No, no, no, no more gogling on this one. No, okay. I was going to say 2005, That would have been when the UNC Tarheels Won the national championship, Led in part by Future Timberwolf. Lil Wayne Ellington. Oh my God. What's in 2005, Florida?

[56:00]What a great shooter he was. Oh yeah. Oh damn. That was 2006 and 2007. Oh, five. Six seven, okay. I thought it was five, six seven makes sense, okay. Ellington might have been in 2019, Now that I think about it. Best sex comedy was Misty Beethoven in 2005. That's got to be the pianist and not the dog, right? But why are we talking about 2005? Didn't the Carter come out later than that? Well, yeah, but that's when this one, And okay, let's actually, that's great. Why are we talking about 2005? We were looking at the Grammys for 2005 Because, oh, we were talking about going out to the bars And what songs we heard nailed it. I guess I still got it, steel trap. Now, listen, this album goes octopole platinum. Oh, octopole? Okay, to which Nadia Suleiman said, no big deal. Hey, Rob, those octopoles, those octogenarians Rated by wheelhouse. I like those octos, right? Yeah. Russell, I'm done dancing. I thought we were going to get through without Russell And Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett.

[57:00]Now, wouldn't it be weird if Dirty Granny later turns out To also be a Timber Wheels dancer? That would be a connection we haven't made yet. Okay, it turns, this album has T-Pain, Babyface, okay? Robin Thicke, Jay-Z, Buster Rhymes, MTV. This album went all over the place. They reported that Wycliffe Jean Worked on a couple of tracks, Justin Timberlake, Timberland, but he didn't appear. And all of a sudden, there's tons of leaks. Everyone he's sending these songs out to Is just sending them out. It's leakin' everywhere. What does Lil Wayne do? He puts four more songs with the four leak songs And makes an album called The Leak. He was so prolific at the time. He was recording so much. Everywhere he went was a Lil Wayne mixtape. It was to draw two. It was dedication. It was to draw three. It was no ceilings. I mean, he was everywhere. And he said that leak is why he was so, He was making more mixtapes than he was full album. So this might be his sixth album, But he's putting out tons and tons of music, Like Aaron said. So let's get into The Carter III.

[58:00]Hey, Mr. Carter. We're starting with Three Pete, Because this is his third championship album. You know, I was reading a little bit about Three Pete. I was reading that this was copyrighted By Pat Riley in the eighties When they were going for the Three Pete. And I forgot they didn't even win a Three Pete. They lost. They did Three Pete, but he has a copyrighted. That should not be allowed. That's some real Pat Riley stuff. You know, Aaron, I thought we could keep it on basketball Because the only other Three Pete I could think of recently Was the 1970s A's and they gone. Wow. That's true. They did it. They did it. We were talking today. They made three series in the 80, 80, 80, 80, 90. The only one of those. Rob, you were talking, I'm also don't really know any Lil Wayne's music. I think this is a killer of an opening to an album. The first couple for me, The A million, the third one got a little much for me, But I thought the opener was great. Do you guys like the opener or not? I thought when I heard that, I was like, I'm going to enjoy this album.

[59:00]It didn't start for me until 80. That's. The pressure was on for him with this album too. Cause I think he had been a star And a rapper, he was what 12, 14 years old, But like really breaking out as a breakout crossover star. I think the Carter two had a go DJ on it, right? So that go DJ was a big hit, But this was like, could a Southern rapper and a guy Who was like a little bit off the wall in terms of word play, But he really like carry an album and make a big Studio album that was going to have a bunch of hits. And so he had to come out and like do it with bombast. You know, you're talking about a crossover star And I got to say that it reminds me of Lil Wayne Ellington. Hey, it's me, it's Lil Wayne Ellington. I played for the Lakers when I was drafted 20th Overall by the Minnesota Tribals. Did you just whiff on the North Carolina reference? We made about eight minutes ago. He wasn't listening. Are you guys surprised at all of us?

[1:00:00]I think it, okay. To be fair, I didn't know who Lil Wayne Ellington was. Yeah. We said it was at 06 or was it 05? No, it was six and seven that Florida won. They won at 05 and nine and then 19. Let's just clap again. Yeah, let's just start again. Can I just say this right now? From now on, I'm listening to you guys, okay? I'm dialed in, all right? And I agree. That was a great joke. Next up, Mr. Carter. And I went well. You guys, I said to you guys, Andy, I didn't tell you guys, But I told these guys, I was listening to this album And there is a song that I've played probably 20 times now In the last two days and this is the song. This is the best song for me is jumped into like my, Matt's got his list of 100 songs. This would be on my list of 100 songs. I love it. I think it's so cool to listen to. Can I tell you guys some of the reasons why I like it? Yes, please.

[1:01:00]Okay, first you've got the chip bunk funk Or the chip bunk rap. We've talked about how Connie's used that. I love the chip bunk sound with this. I love it. We've got the Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice reference. It feels like that we were talking Rob, How Rob was afraid to say the Candy banner, those types of things. You got that in there. You've got candy, man. Candy, you've got, oh, we're talking about candy, man. We're talking about Rob. Candy, man. Rob, yeah. You've got Jay-Z and Aaron, you're Andy baby. You guys know more about this, But it feels like he's passing the torch to Lil Wayne On this verse, isn't he? He's not just passing the torch. He's passing an Olive branch too, Because Lil Wayne at this time was, Was proclaiming himself the best rapper alive Frequently and he might have been And Jay-Z could have taken that and made it into a beef. And he instead decided to kind of bless this track And bless, so he's kind of saying Lil Wayne's The best rapper alive by being on this track And making it. That's super cool, isn't it?

[1:02:00]Yes. So I'm really saying I'm, I was never a huge Jay-Z fan, But the more we've listened to some of his albums, He was having him be on here. He's, he's, that's like a huge thing To have him do in the verse on this. So that was super cool. The other things that jumped out to me. Well, can I just say this, Russell? I bet Jay-Z, he was thinking two things during this time. What's that? Number one, I got to break bread with Lil Wayne. This is the future. I've got it. So I'm going to make sure that I support him. I'm a part of it. And number two, I got to cheat on Beyonce. I hate her hot body fucking me and going to Red Lobster, Sitting on me in a bathtub, doing the surfboard. That sucks. Okay. I want to fuck somebody like, by the way, Did you guys see who Dave Grohl impregnated? No. They look like a hostess in Ankeny, Iowa. It is crazy. It is the Tiger Woods thing where you're like, what? What is going, like the Arnold Schwarzenegger? That's the all-timer with the maid. You're just like, what is going And you just realize a lot of blood going to those balls. And that's actually a lot of problems that we also have.

[1:03:00]There's also the other things on this, Rob, Reference to Hector Macho Camacho, One of my favorite boxers. Oh, right. From like the nineties. Macho Man Randy Savage reference on this track. Like, how often has we heard the Macho Man? Oh, yeah. On one of these tracks here in. I've got a lot of blood going to my balls. Better go out on a ride of my Jeep. But I'm going to get a real close look at this tree. We also on this at a reference To the old school Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta Hawks, one of my teams growing up, My top five Atlanta Hawks, Dominique, Mookie Blalock, Stacy Augment, Spudweb and Kevin Willis. Loving this. Steve Smith doesn't even make it. Wow. No, no, no. But then the other thing I think that makes this song, It's the chorus at the end where they're doing the court When they bring in like a choir, Like a group of singers at the end. Rob, maybe you can pull up near the end of this. This is a perfect song to be. I love it. It's just totally anthem, man. I can hear audacity, but I can't hear, I can't hear the audio when you're playing.

[1:04:00]You can't hear the audio? No, I hear it from outside. I don't know what we can hear. But yeah, you guys can. I hear him. Oh, can you hear my sound effects I play? I can. Yeah, I don't know what's going on. Here you go. This is the end. It's good. This to me is an epic ending to a perfect song. Man, this is going on my top 100 list. I loved it. Oh, just beautiful. Now, next up, a Millie. I don't know why you can't hear that. That's so strange to me. It's something, it's something local on my local settings Because everybody else can. So I can hear audacity. You know what that's happening on my computer Too, because there's a lot of local mills That want to meet me. And so I'm having some local network settings as well Because I'm not working with these mills that want to meet me. By the way, I will say again, my porno ads are just fully Now ugly grandmas will fuck anyone. And I'm like, oh, God. What the hell? Is that the age I am now? I think, yeah, I think so. Born where the guy's back hurts.

[1:05:00]What? That could be any age watching that. All right. Hey, Millie is just such a fucking banger. And I was reading a little bit about it And it was basically just like started off in the studio And the producer who we'll get to in a moment played this beat And he was like really fired up about it. And Lil Wayne was basically just fucking around on the track And the producer was actually kind of upset about it But it turned out to be really good. And it absolutely is. And I think it has that sound too. It's just like this is to me is like when I think Lil Wayne is just like messing around in the studio. So goddamn talented and he's not even trying And it's just unbelievable. And you know what, Andy? Sometimes when people are just messing around and having fun, Even though everybody is actually getting really mad at them, A lot of times for what they're doing, It actually turns out really good. And a lot of other people actually like it. And then and so similar to this song Where the producer is actually kind of mad At the other people were fucking around, But then it was pretty good. I mean, I think that's a lesson as well.

[1:06:00]And that brings me to, do we have time for a, A better countdown? We got nothing, but Andy, I believe we called a list. A list. Hey, this is a Suzanne moment Where it shows Andy doesn't actually listen. Wow. To call that a Suzanne moment is so accurate. Isn't it, isn't the sound drop, Back to the better countdown? We called a list. I don't know if you do, I think you get the sound drop Because I do listen. I wonder if I'm the only person who's listened To every episode front to back. I bet you are. I think John skipped a couple. You, Andy, let me ask you this. Okay. And I'm being serious right now. Did you listen to the Rob and John show in its entirety? No. Absolutely. I tried. I got about two minutes in and I thought, So I have a thing with podcasts where I like, I try to ask myself a few minutes in, Like, do I need to listen to this? Cause I listened to a lot of podcasts, Way too many podcasts. And so like I have to ask myself, Do I need to listen to this? And that was one where I had to answer no. Wow.

[1:07:00]Okay. That's fine. That's weird, didn't it? No, no, no, no, no, no. I actually, I'm actually really good at taking criticism. That's a thing a lot of people know about. It's a theme. Yeah. It wasn't so much that it's that I don't, You know, it just wasn't for me. I wasn't the target market for it. No, that helps when you say that. Whoa. That helps. Thank you. So Amelie or Amelie, however you prefer to say it, Amelie is produced by a gentleman named Chandra Crawford. Chandra Crawford lived until he was 17 years old In Des Moines, Iowa, which is the home area of myself And my brother here. So we thought it necessary to do a short list Of tracks that were produced by him. He goes by Bangladesh. You can hear the beginning of Amelie. He has his producer tag of Bangladesh. So Bangladesh has produced a number of great tracks. He moved from Des Moines to Atlanta. And there's not a lot of information about his time In Des Moines, but he did move there when he was 17. And he produced a number of tracks, The first of which is a Ludacris track.

[1:08:00]I can't hear the tracks that you're playing, But I'll just, I'll try to time my talking with it. The first is a Ludacris track, Where you kind of got to start with Ludacris, Producing What's Your Fantasy? Now, what sticks out to me about this song Is all of the creative places That Ludacris would like to have sex. One of them being on the 50 yard line While the Dirty Birds, the Atlanta Falcons, Are kicking four for three. Now I am curious, the Dirty Birds, I think they were famous for its specific. Get the fuck out of here. Oh God, he's going to do this shit. No way. Oh my God, he's doing it. This is worse than when I picked out a Replacements guy And did the Replacements movie list. Would you rather be having sex on the 50 yard line While the Dirty Birds are kicking for three Or while Gary Anderson is kicking for three? Oh no, I can't believe he's doing this. This show sucks again. This is everything, and Rob's like, wow. Every time Rob made fun of me, he's getting it all back. Oh my God. I lied earlier, I wasn't listening to you

[1:09:00]Because I was thinking of a joke And let me know, there's something here. I'm going to jack off like Jamal Anderson, Dirty Bird, Jamal Anderson. What? Jamal Anderson? Jamal Anderson, because I jack off like this. Oh, whoever the Dirty Bird went. Oh my God. No, okay, just think about this. All right, oh my God. Next time you see Justin doing the gritty, It does look like he's jacking off two guys behind him. So something to think about. Rob, I think I actually know who the other guy was. I believe it might have been Chris Handler. Oh, Chris Handler? That's so good. That is a smoking joke. That's pretty good, that's pretty good. All right, number two on the list of tracks Produced by Bangladesh of Des Moines, Iowa Is a song by Dem Franchise Boys Called Talking Out the Side of Your Neck. Oh, Talking Out the Side of Your Neck? Talking Out the Side of Your Neck is in part a sequel. It samples a funk band called Cameo That played a song called Talking Out the Side of Your Neck.

[1:10:00]Oh yeah. Word up. And this song became really popular With HVC marching bands and I came to understand it By in 2017, LSU beat Texas A&M and Football And Odell Beckham Jr. Took it upon himself To go over to the band director at LSU And asked them to play Neck, which they had banned them From playing because in an interlude to the song, The band will yell, suck that tiger dick bitch. I suck that tiger dick bitch. And so the school told them not to play it. Odell Beckham Jr. Went over there And begged them to play it and they did play Neck And they've been able to play Neck ever since And this is the original version of that song. Wow, now I got to say this, I don't want to do this and I'm going to edit this out But we got to see what a tiger penis looks like, right? Oh my God. If you're going to see, I almost typed right. Hang on, can you play Neck one more time? I can't hear it, but oh my God. Here's what a tiger, that tiger penis is very small. It looks surprisingly small for a beast that size. You know what?

[1:11:00]Like that's, that's the, that's the part of the, The big cat that is on the bad side of the cousins, The cousin tree, right Rob? I can tell you what Tony the tiger. The lions over on this side of the cousin tree And the tigers on the other. That's actually my penis looks so much like this tiger Penis because it's kind of brown at the bottom And red hot at the end. Like, it just looks hot. I'll tell you what, Tony the tiger is not saying great inches. It's like two or three at the most. Okay, I got to take this off the screen. Oh, my mom's just working. Thank you. All right, number three. You know what I wish I could do though? Don't you guys kind of want to grind up that tiger penis And take it for your own sexual virulence? All right. If you guys aren't way into animal trafficking, That's something that happens with tigers. They kill them for their penis. Hey, but you know what? I don't want to bring us down And get this podcast back on track. Let's go. Number three on the list of Bangladesh produced tracks Is Lil Wayne, six foot, seven foot. He produced this track for Lil Wayne

[1:12:00]After they resolved a dispute over royalties on a milli. They came back together to produce six foot, seven foot, Which I kind of consider almost a cousin track to a milli. I think it's a very similar vibe. I think it's very much an absolute banger. To me, it's probably my favorite Lil Wayne track. For sure. I'll tell you what, Lil Wayne, You hear a lot of, it's kind of a Led Zeppelin type thing. There are a lot of lawsuits going on with this album. I don't know if everybody just wanted a piece of this album Or what, but there's almost every song He was getting sued by somebody for. Yeah. So to round out the list, Number four in the final track on the list of tracks Produced by Bangladesh of Des Moines, Iowa, Producer of A Milli is Nicki Minaj did it on him. And this is on here because hell, yeah, My lovely wife, when we met, She had a lot of songs that she really liked. She's big into music and some of them are very, Are very harder tracks like this. And this is one that she really liked.

[1:13:00]And I couldn't believe it the first time we were in the car And she played a song that included Nicki Minaj Saying things like, I just shit it on him. And also if I had a dick, I would pull it out In this comment. So, well, only Nicki Minaj can get away with that. It's a great song, but it's also wild. And I got to admit it, Nicki Minaj said that to me, I would pause it. I don't know, maybe, okay, it's fine. I'm sure. And that is the list of other outstanding tracks Produced by Bangladesh of Des Moines, Iowa. Des Moines, Bangladesh. Can I just say, you sent me that list today. I listened to What's Your Fantasy like 10 times. It's such a great song. It's such a great song. It's just good. It's a fantastic song. I wanted to point out, Mr. Carter, by the way, Won the Grammy for best rap duo. Amelia won the Grammy for best rap solo. Got Money. Money. The song is all about ballin' in the club.

[1:14:00]Did you guys ever really go to a club? Do you consider yourself having, I don't think I ever went to a club in my 20s. Speaking of my 20s. I went to the Escape Lounge, The Escape Ultra Lounge, At, was that was blocky, right? I went there a couple of times, But I don't know if you, I don't know if you could consider it a club, But I did go there a couple of times. Blocky. I feel like I'm the type of guy That if I went to the club, Other people start looking around And thinking maybe this is the club I should be. I feel like I'm like not the kind I should be. Have you guys ever done a club In any of your Vegas trips? Man, these guys won't go anywhere with me. Absolutely not. Aaron said the other day, He said this heartfelt thing like, Guys, we should really go. What did you want to do, Aaron? I said, we should go to a steakhouse. I was like, let's go to a steakhouse. Anything but watching football. Anything but watching football. I have done the Vegas club, But it's only been for like a work thing. And so it was like definitely the club experience. And it's like A bunch of like young kids that work at my company also. So it was that,

[1:15:00]But it was also only people from my company. So I don't totally count it. It wasn't like we like Bartered with a doorman to get in or anything. Anything inappropriate happened? Anybody at work hookup or, Not to my knowledge. I'm sure that, I'm sure that happened. I got to say, we had a polka band at my work last year. And I didn't even want to polka with any of my coworkers Because I was afraid of like being weird. Just in case. Yeah. If I was at the club and it turns out they went to HR And they were like, hey, my boss, he bumped. And then he was grinding as well. Both guys, both kinds of dancing. He like showed me in the handbook where I can't do that. And then he took me back to his place And he rolled out the barrel. It was unbelievable. I jack off like it's this chicken dance. All you got to say though, Is I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind And they can't do anything too. That's true. That's the law. Rob, that's uncomfortable. What I heard here is,

[1:16:00]I think also another little way. So maybe you can pull it up on YouTube Right above it. See if you guys know this one. Matt, we didn't do comfortable yet. Oh, got money. When you hear got money, I hear the same thing. This is what I thought of. What song? Lil Wayne right above it. Oh. This is the song from ballers. You guys ever watched the HBO show Ballers with the Rock? Yeah. I figured out the audio thing. I got it again. That song got money, sounded a lot like, That's what I heard immediately. I was like, oh, this is the Lil Wayne. I know it's from ballers. If you smell what the Rock is. If you would have said to me, Rob, you need to bet your life savings On a show that Andy has seen. Okay, that little Rosie has seen. I would have bet all my money on ballers so fast. I would have put it all. I was like, that is a perfect show for a guy Who recently was sending us pictures Of like a NCAA tournament from 1992. Absolute jackpot. I watched it. I think I only watched like the first three seasons,

[1:17:00]But I definitely watched it. Oh, only three seasons, nothing. Comfortable. They had more than a couple, Oh my God, comfortable. This is the only leaked song he kept on the album. This is where it's getting into the formulaic. Like, okay, we got to do the love song. It's a, is this on Tef Jam? It is, right? It's on a major label sometimes. Maybe it's not Tef Jam, But it would have to be because Jay-Z's on. Yeah, it's just like they're doing stuff For the radio now. Is this a baby, so babyface? Is this like some sort of steamy wonder Or influence or anything coming on this one, Erin, or not? I don't know. I didn't think of that, but yeah, It's definitely like poppy, smooth. Yeah, I think you're right. I think you could get to that Because I was going to say, If anybody knows who produced it without looking, It's a pretty vintage sound. I had to look it up, but it's Kanye. And so, I don't know that- Oh yeah, it was the Kanye drums, right. In that period of time, He hasn't done anything like directly. He didn't do anything that was directly sampling Stevie Wonder, But that's definitely the vibe Of a lot of stuff Kanye was doing around this time.

[1:18:00]Dr. Carter. This song made me laugh my ass off. Looks like it's gonna be a long day. Where the nurse is basically like, This rapper's bad, he'd be the day. Your first patient, you're suffering from a micro-concept. Oh right, he's got it. It's so good. It's a funny concept. Yes. It's so good. I love the idea too of like Lil Wayne as a doctor. And it made me think like, I think that would have been my job I'd wanna do If I wasn't a teacher like I am now. What job would you guys wanna do? If you could do any job. As an adult, you're looking back. What job would you want? Like you don't have to do the work to get there. You're just doing the job. You know what I would wanna do? I've been thinking about this. I would wanna go work for like PSA Or one of the baseball grading card companies. I want people to just send me cards And I wanna get like a magnifying glass And I was like fucking near mint. Eight, send that shit back. I wanna grade baseball cards for a little bit. I like it. I love that. Erin, what would you wanna do? Cal Fire, I'd wanna work for Cal Fire. What? Okay, that's, hey.

[1:19:00]Don't wanna have to explain that anymore. We all know what you're talking about. Let me just get to this real quick. A fireman in California where you put out forest fires. That's complicated. Oh my God, Erin, that makes me horny. Just thinking about what you're doing. See, there you go. Think of how much blood is going to your ball right now, Erin. See, that's what I'm talking about. You got blood going there like crazy right now. It's like to be a California fireman, fire person. How about you, Matt? What's your dream job? I say it all the time. It could be like the bullpen catcher For the two years. Oh my God. Yes. There are lots of days where I wish I would have just become a full-time bartender. You know what I mean? You can still do that, right? Right. You can still do that, right? There's some times where they're making drinks And I'm just like, God, that looks like fun. You just, you don't have to plan anything all day. You just go in. You just react to whatever's going on. You get cash. I mean, just, I just think that sounds awesome. You probably don't get cash anymore. People don't pay with cash. You probably got to,

[1:20:00]You got to probably got to claim all those tips now. We were at it all. We were at a cash only establishment today And it was an hour and a half wait To get to the front of the line. And we got to the front of the line And the two people in front of us said, Oh my God, we didn't know it was cash only. I waited the entire 90 minutes. Let's get real. How do you have a cash only bar or service in today? That's terrible. You cannot do that. This place is old school, man. It's been there since 1912. Pretty sure the elbow room, My favorite bar, the elbow room, Fort Lauderdale cash. I don't eat at Chinese places in New York If it's not cash only. If they take a card, I'm like, This isn't legit. I need cash only. Under the table, all business. That's what I want. We heard these people say they had no cash And Aaron jumped in and said no hope or jobs. Yeah, that's right. We used to have them and now we don't. Did they, did you mention your, My friend who I'm actually really worried about, Mike Penis. Okay. In zero episodes, Since we've brought up Mike Penis. Kevin Bacon dies. I tell you what. Oh no, Aaron, when, when they got to the front of the line After the hour wait and they said they had no cash,

[1:21:00]Did you jump in and be like, Hey, I can help you guys out. I can help you guys out. Oh yeah. There's an ATM back that. Oh, there's an ATM back in the end of the line. And they'd be like, that's from one of my greatest movies Of all time. No, you realize what you've done. It was all good. The guys were like, we'll work with you. Well, they were like, we'll work with you on it. You can sit down and eat and settle up later. It was all good. They were, yeah. Phone home. E.T. Andy has not seen it. This, I saw E.T. In the theater when I was growing up. I just remember it scared the shit out of me When they saw him in the corn. I have never watched the movie since then Because I was so traumatized by that childhood moment. The sale comes incredibly dynamic, right? Like every song sounds a little different. I'm digging the sale. I've been doing it. It's the Illmatic Blueprint, right? He's doing a different producer for every song. And he's just putting his mark on the hip hop. It's very like, U.P., I guess, or like whimsical almost, But without being too campy or too much parody.

[1:22:00]It's really good. It does make me harken back to when Rob was harken. If I had my brothers, I'd listen to what Aaron's harken back to. I think back to when Rob was... A couple of episodes ago, I was called the old boomer, dude, For using too much in your whatever years, I believe. Yeah, Druthers. Aaron just took back to the time. Rob gave us a hard time because we didn't like that B 52s record. And he was like, music should be fun. It's OK for music to be fun and silly. And there's a lot of fun, silly songs on here. So Rob, we're right. Oh, God, I got to get back to my other page. I got to get back to my other page. Thank you. I appreciate that. So how would you compare that B 52s album to this album? Well, this one sounds like music. And the B 52s album sounds like something different. So I agree. Why do we have to bring that up? You guys are so old, you're not like me. I'm on fleek. All right, let me just find these.

[1:23:00]The text is so small. Let me see what song we're on. No, tie my hands. Well, it's the Robin Thicke, right? This is with Robin Thicke, another famous wife cheater. Marvin Gaye's ghost is listening to this feeling. Wait a minute. I mean, isn't that the whole point of getting rich and famous As you can kind of get away with that type of personal behavior, Rob? Oh, tell me about it. Can you imagine? I feel like Robin Thicke looked at Adam Levine and thought I can do that. Cheating on my wife now. I'm on a business trip, fucking in someone in a motel. Cheating on my wife as a celebrity. I'm on tour, fucking somebody in a nice hotel room. That's awesome. Yeah. Yeah. My other apartment in the city with the heart-shaped bed. Yes. I'd have it upside down so now it's a butt-shaped bed.

[1:24:00]This is Officer. This song is so good. I loved it. It was all about him wanting to have sex with a cop. And I got to say The idea of having and I am sorry that this is so dirty this week, But having sex with somebody in uniform is hot. Don't you think what's the hottest uniform To have sex with? And don't say KFC worker Russell. It's got to be it's it's got to be a Timberwolves. He beat me to it. Oh, my God. I'm going to turn my camera off for a minute. So we got to go and continue recording. It was so good. The hottest uniform is a senior's. This denim actually stretches. Oh, let the beat build. Are we this song? They wanted to do a song where the beat Just got bigger and bigger as they went. Now watch that work. Here's the beginning. Now we hear this. The fringes doesn't hear. All right, can I can I finally

[1:25:00]Please chime in to say Isn't this like just college dropout Like four years later? And isn't this like Jay-Z eight years later? Isn't this just all a big ripoff Of everything that came before it? I I feel like there's more humor in this. I feel like it's more lighthearted than when I listen to Jay-Z. I feel like I'm like under attack. When I listen to this, it just seemed like a guy having fun to me. I don't know. I mean, I I think technically you're totally right, man. And you would know way more than me. But I that's just how I think it's it. But I think if you think of like the main like rap Kingpins of this time period of the 2000s, late 2000s, It is like Kanye, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. And I think Kanye was like a little bit too high minded For a lot of people. And that's kind of why he has spilled over into what he does now. Jay-Z like wanted to be the mogul. He was like the business man. And I think Lil Wayne is just like the rapper's rapper. So yeah, I agree. It all sounds very similar. And a lot of these tracks are like derivative of others. But I think you can see why Lil Wayne, I think was the

[1:26:00]It become the biggest star, at least like from a chartopping perspective. Did he become the biggest star? I think it's I think it's stuff like I think it charted higher than I guess I'd have to look this up. But I think it charted higher than most. I don't I don't know. I think he's the stuff. I think he's like the little cousin that everybody just liked having around. But I think that's true. But I think he's a better rapper than Kanye. And I think you're right, Matt, to sound it's very much of the time. But I think he's he definitely made a conscious choice on every one of these Tracks that like throw out a challenge for himself to do a concept on every song, Which like may or some work some of them down. And I'll tell you why I probably feel this way because Lil Wayne Opened up for Blink 182 and there was like an eighth of the concert venue There to see him. This is like three years ago, right now. And so like I just it was like the worst thing ever. And I think I'm a little bit jaded because of going to that opening of him. And mine is gone now from all the lean.

[1:27:00]Yeah, I yeah what I was like when you're I feel Like the other are bigger stars. But when they did it first, they did first. But we're not so he's a great rapper to Aaron's point. Like he he's probably more like on Kendrick's We like Kendrick's for sure kind of came back. He was at this time. Yeah. But that's what I thought, Matt, too. But so the little car to Rob, we were talking about this, The list of fastest selling albums. This is the most albums sold in like the first seven days. Lil Wayne, this album came in at twenty third. Listen to the artists that came in. These are like all huge stars that are in the top. Adele is twenty, Adele twenty five was number one. Taylor Swift, tortured poets in sync, three and four Eminem, Backstreet Boys Eminem. Yeah, Britney Spears, 50 Cent, Lady Gaga, Usher, Garth, Limp, Biscuit, Nora Jones and Lil Wayne. Like that is he is an outlier, like in terms of the type of music.

[1:28:00]And he's way up there. So like so fastest selling seven days sales in the first seven days. But like all those are like their boy bands, their divas. And it's Lil Wayne. That's kind of crazy, isn't it? So doesn't that put him part of it? Yeah. But that's probably part of why it's big, isn't it? I think I mean, I think what you said, I think it makes total sense, Matt. I think that also, like to your point about like him like not selling out shows, I think he just became way too big with us. Like at this time, he still was a little bit of a mystery. All this stuff on this record was so good. But then after this, he just started putting out so much stuff. He was everywhere. He was touring a lot. Well, his was kind of getting tired of it when he did that rock album. After everybody kind of feels completely fried as a brain on lean. Yes. Yeah. Can you imagine what a life. You guys know how I feel about lean. I was looking tonight to see if I've got any coating in my night. Don't. Otherwise, I'd be drinking lean right now. Shoot me down.

[1:29:00]I fried my brain on lean on me. I'm a huge bill withers. You can't stop. That is so good. Great movies. Wow. La La. And then we have his probably his biggest hit off the album. Right. It's kind of looking into electoral rap Or electoral pop is what they called it. Is this where he started playing guitar? Is this the moment? Yeah, 100 percent. Lollipop. This is his only song to top the Billboard Hot 100. Well, that's interesting too, right? He's only got one top 100 song, But it's the top of three. Yeah. Now I wouldn't turn it off now when it comes on. Like, I didn't like it at the time. I was like, I kind of enjoy it. Song 14 is where this gets interesting. Originally, Lil Wayne has this song. Now listen to the chorus playing with fire.

[1:30:00]Now, you might say to yourself, That's not that doesn't that sounds familiar. Well, so did the Rolling Stones, Who noticed it was off their like 1968 song, Play With Fire. And the Rolling Stones sued this song off the album. Lil Wayne took it all off the album And instead replaced it with this song. Russell, what's this song called? I can't quite read it. Can you read what I'm pointing at? Yeah, I'm not commenting on that. Pussy Monster. Oh, jeez. I want to say this one. This is the song that took, That I think knocks this album down 100 spots. I think this album is 100 spots higher If it's not for this song. I think this is- I also, I gotta say, I don't want to be this guy, But I bought the CD And I think the CD had playing with fire on it

[1:31:00]When I had it. I wish I still had the CD Because I had this. This was one of the last CDs I bought. I do not think I had Pussy Monster on it. I'm looking at the tracklist. It says track 14 on later versions Replaces playing with fire. Yeah, I think I had the CD That had playing with fire on it. And then I got rid of the CD. It's probably worth $150 now. Yeah, we've got another version Of the Lauren Hill, remember? How the Lauren Hill- Yes, you're right. So now we've got random song. That last song, Rob, that you played, I think is, that is the low point of the album. It's not even close. Well, then I'm not going to ask the question I had written next to that one. You ain't got nothing. I was going to ask you- I can't believe you wrote that in Latin. Yeah, I can't believe you typed that. Well, I was just wondering what your mindset was When you said I'm not going to ask that question. I just said that. Oh my God. Rob, you just have to bleep all that. I have uncle said, listen to this. To me, I feel like I'm going to a work site. Like I'm a construction worker And we've got to get the job done. He wasn't going to ask

[1:32:00]If he didn't have a bit for parody. Even if it's a hot, humid day And the boss is really mad at you, I got to get the job done. Don't get it. Final song. I'm putting it on the Nina Simone album. Intro. That was another interesting one That he's just chatting for a while with you, right? Yeah. And that's another derivative. We heard that on an album too, Where they ended with- Kanye. Kanye, where he's just talking. You're like, oh, okay. Don't really want to listen to that again. Listen, that is it. Okay, that is it. And now we have to get into our rating system Because we talked about what we think of the album, But I want to remind you, We couldn't care less. We don't give two shits About the quality of the album. What we care about is the Rolling Stone list. That's how smart we are. We've hitched our wagons to the Rolling Stone list. Something that everyone else has said is dumb. And we're like, well, We better devote 10 years of our life to it. Hey, Rob, we couldn't give two la shits To quit about this one. At least someone stayed around in Oakland, right?

[1:33:00]Wow. They didn't play that song yesterday. They played several video montages With Hammer in them, But they did not play That pretty bad. Come on. From 2008, The Carter, three by Lil Wayne. Is it Rolling Going? Oh, God damn it. Is it Rolling Well-Toned? Perfect at 208. Is it Rolling Boned? It should have been higher up in the list. Why is it way back at 208? This is one of the biggest albums of the 2000s. It's a juggernaut. It should be way higher. Or is this a Rolling Grown? Ugh. You don't like this album, okay? You don't think this is one of the better episodes That we've ever done. Ugh. Okay? Something just, it's a Rolling Grown. Ugh. You need it one more time. Ugh. I should have put that into my song I did at the beginning. That would be weird, wouldn't it? A little bit. Thinking about Aaron as a firefighter.

[1:34:00]Ugh. Oh. Ha ha. The face. The face Rob just made is too much for me. That was too much. Something she can't unsee. It was authentic. Yeah. Oh no. The pink is great. All right. Listen. What do you think? Rolling Well Tone, Rolling Bone or Rolling Grown? Matt, what do you think? I think this is Rolling Grown. I think it's a derivative. I think he's all over the place. I think he's a great rapper. I will fully admit that. I just it's just, It's completely all over the place for me And I will not come back to listen to this again. I'll listen to a couple of songs for sure. Put them on some lists or something, But the whole album, I can't come back and listen to this one. Russell, Rolling Well Tone, Rolling Bone Or Rolling Grown, The Carter. You know what? I kind of agree with Matt on it's all over the place, But I like that. I thought there was so much difference In a lot of the songs. For me, what was the second song? Mr. Carter, one of my favorite songs That we've listened to.

[1:35:00]You know what? I'm gonna say Lil Wayne to me Is a little like David Bowie for the list. It's an artist that I was never into Before we started listening to it. Didn't know any of his music. I love this album. If it weren't for the one, The P-Monster song you're at the end, I would have said this should have been At one away instead of two away. I'm gonna say it's Rolling Bone. I think it should be higher on the list. Oh, nice. Rosie, what do you think? Rolling Well Tone, Rolling Bone or Rolling Grown? Which, wait. Which one? Which Rosie? I love it. Big Rosie, what do you think? I'm torn on this one Because it is a big major label rap album So it might not even be the best Of what Lil Wayne did in his career Because it's what had to be done for the major label And it was formulaic. And I don't know of major label rappers. I don't know if he belongs higher Than someone like LL Cool J for example, But I do really enjoy the album And he, I think, Or this stretch of time was the best rapper there was. So I'm gonna just give it a Rolling Well Tone. Wait, no, I've always said,

[1:36:00]No, like I love having a penis. I've always said like it's the greatest thing now. Yeah. And meanwhile I talk about the blood stuff And you guys just stare at me. It's really awkward to hear these sound bites With Lil Rosie on the Zoom Where we can see his face during it. And to know that they're sitting in the same garage While it's too much. All I want to do is make love to you. I just know it's gonna come up at Thanksgiving. Everybody's gonna be asking me about it. So I'm gonna have to explain it. Lil Rosie, what do you think? Rolling Well Tone, Rolling Bone or Rolling Grown? So 208 episodes in, I don't wanna buck any trends here, But I'm gonna shoot my shot. Is this Rolling Phone home, Rob? Oh my God. You kinda have to shut it down, Rob. I kinda, please. Look at Rob, big nod. Rob, I got this YouTube video of It's about barking dogs. You should play it. I love it. I hope there's enough hours of it. I'm gonna give it a Rolling Well Tone.

[1:37:00]I think that Lil Wayne Is such a mixtape rapper and I do think That mixtape rap deserves to be represented Where it's at on the list. I think Lil Wayne was really unique for what he did. I think it's a really fun album. I think it drags at certain points And it does get a little bit repetitive as well. So I think 208 is a good spot for it, But I think it's representing well where it's at. Unfortunately, you are all incorrect. What? You're raising a phone home, you're raising a race. Think of a joke. This album gets a Rolling 2000s. Oh. Oh, yeah. You can't think of the 2000s rap game Without thinking of this album and Lil Wayne. It's huge, even if it is derivative, It's the culmination of it. It's at the top. This album has the Mount Rushmore of 2000s hip hop. Who is it? Let's hear it. T-Pain. Oh yeah. Jay-Z. Yeah. Rob and Thicke. God damn it, Aaron. I knew what that means. Sorry, of course that's where you're going.

[1:38:00]I'll never guess what his name was. Two? Is. I thought his last name was Dick. Well, it's like his dad. Remember his dad? Alan is Thicke from Groin Pains? Oh wait, no, that was in 2005. Alan is Thicke from Groin Pains was a 2005 AVN winner. I'm looking at the wrong screen. That's on me. Next up. What happens when you eat two? I'm not happy with this one. I wrote this and I was like, I better rewrite this And just never got around to it. Too busy making that song from earlier. Next up. What happens when you eat too many peppers That Peter Piper picked? You get the Runs DMC. Oh. With Raising Hell. I told you it was bad. What do you think Alan Thicke's pipe game was like? Oh, crazy. Actually legit I'm a celebrity coxman. I love thinking. He apparently had just a hammer. I think so. Oh yeah. Celebrity coxman.

[1:39:00]Do you think he caused anyone that he ever, Any of the ladies he ever met When he was out on the town, any growing pains? Well, let's ask Judith Gold, His co-star in Groin Pains. Judith Light. Yeah, I think Judith was on the other show And was also a co-star with Mona And she may have maybe calling us on the phone, Rob, Right? No, not yet. Actually, that's the second one. I got to say right now, I just realized my favorite band. He's trying to save it. This is Bob Hiscon. Oh my gosh, it's Fountains of Lil Wayne. Yes. It's time to say goodbye. Hello. Hello. Hello. This is Dirty Granny. Oh, we're Dirty. Dirty Granny in a while. I actually am calling to talk to Andy. [100:01] Andy. [100:03] Andy, I got a call for you over here. [100:05] Andy. [100:06] Is it true you were on the Minnesota Timberwolves'

[1:40:00]dancing? [100:08] Oh, we don't need to go there. [100:09] That's a joke for later, Andy. [100:11] Just wait. [100:12] Actually, we both saw that Dirty Granny talk and do her bit. [100:15] And we actually don't interrupt that much because the jokes, you can see them coming and you can't say them first. [100:20] Andy how you're my accountability, buddy? [100:24] It happened again. [100:28] Jacked off to a picture of Wayne Newton. [100:32] Hey, Russell, you ready for a date? [100:34] It's Dirty Granny. [100:36] I'll see you after I dance at the game. [100:41] Dirty Granny, did you fuck Wayne Ellington? [100:44] What? [100:45] What? [100:46] What? [100:47] What is that? [100:50] He double dribbled at me. [100:51] Oh, no. [100:52] What? [100:53] No. [100:54] No. [100:55] No. [100:56] Double dribble. [100:57] Oh, my God. [100:58] The two-in-one shoot-through conditioner. [100:59] Call that double dribble. [101:00] Oh, my God. [101:01] Dirty Granny. [101:02] Dirty Granny. [101:03] Dirty Granny. [101:04] Dirty Granny. [101:05] Dirty Granny. [101:06] Dirty Granny. [101:07] Dirty Granny.
